A U.S. measuring cup is 8 FLUID ounces. Those packages were 8 ounces by weight. If you had used the measuring cup then each of those packages looked like they might have been 2 cups each. So yeah, I think you used double the cheese that the recipe called for lol

I'm glad it came out well because Darius cannot cook and he be scamming. He must have stole this from someone who knew what they were doing. But as for the amount of cheese, you really want to measure it out. That's 8 ounces by weight, not volume. Regular dairy cheese has about 1.5 - 2 cups of cheese per 8 ounce bag and I'm sure vegan cheese has a different weight. But that would have been about 2 or 3 extra cups of dairy cheese and that's why it was so thick when you added them in. You also want to dilute that Heavy Whipping cream for the half and half. Either use half as much or use 3 parts heavy cream to 1 part almond milk for the same consistency. It has more fat than half and half so it made it thicker and faster, too.

Two bags of Violife cheese was equaled to 4 cups. Each bag was eight 1/4 cup servings which equals two cups per bag.

you can take out the sour cream, I just made this past Saturday and I just used the milk, half and half, and 8oz cream cheese
