Thanks for posting this and addressing the fact that you can go ahead and just cap the red wire. The heads up on the pin and the screws, how far to screw them in so they can still catch the screw cover probably save me 20 minutes alone!
I have mine on a switch so whatever setting it was one would be stuck to that alone. But I would say yes. As you would no longer be able to operate the different settings. Would be nice if you could control on the phone.
Thanks for the video....Can i replace a pendant light only fixture with this one? Does it require a separate switch/wiring for the light and fan to operate independently?
@@daddywaddy8781 I would ensure the mount was installed into studs and the unit was set properly in the secured mount. That is where I would look first.
I have a fan that has a switch to turn on the fan and switch for the light. I want to install this fan will mines always be having the pink wire i need to cap off?
Hard for me to say for sure but sounds like how mine was set up. Switch for light and switch for fan. But this fan only needs power and you control everything with the remote. So highly likely same situation as mine. If unsure definitely talk to a certified electrician.
I think it depends on the slope of your ceiling. The hanging portion fits into a ball type socket so it will hang straight down. But not sure it is long enough shaft for a steep slope.
Remember the shaft cannot be any longer as the wire harness has a set length! So if you want let’s say a foot to two foot shaft in order to lower the fan you would need make an extended wiring harness so you can run the wires down the longer harness. I suppose it could work. Just cut and splice a wire extension. Sry just being nosy as I am planning on buying this fan. Just saw it at Costco today it was for $149.99
Indeed it does so long as it was on when your light switch was turned off. So if you had the fan light on and used your switch to turn it off, the next time you used your light switch to turn it on you would hear the beep. So anytime it is powered on.
Hmm hard to say with out being there. I normally test it before I completely finish the install to ensure it works. Even if you have power going to it, you still need to use the remote to initially power it on. And you need to ensure the battery is connected, usually a clear plastic you remove.
@@PaulWodarczyk I hit studs. Super solid, it was solid just getting into the light box. The prevyfan was only attached to the box and was fine as well.
@@alexandriarodrigues8165 I always test my connections before I button it up, sometimes if the light setting is too low on LED it could blink. Try higher setting and if still blinking check your wiring again. Others may have more info to offer.
@@burundisledge2373 good question. I never looked to change them. Not sure how easy it would be to remove the cover to expose and see the connection. I guess if you are handy enough you may be able to swap them out.
Love your wife's BTS collection! 😄 👍
Haha, thanks. I have to add some shelfs for her next.

Question. If you lose the remote, are you not able to use the fan?

Yes. You can replace a pendant light. It only needs power. the operations are controlled with the remote.
Mine is wobbly, any tips on how to keep it still?

Can you install it without the extension pipe? I have a low ceiling.
I do not believe so. It is the only connecting piece. There are no other extensions. Also means you can’t hang it lower from a high ceiling.

Is it Bright White of Daylight White?
It is a warm light. Not sure the k scale but maybe on the box.
Do you think it would work on a vaulted ceiling?

@@BigOHavingFun no that’s great. Good info to share. Usually fan kits have extension for vaulted ceilings but this one didn’t.
Does it beep when you turn it on via the light switch?

Were you able to hit a stud with the other 4 bolts or did you only bolt into the sheetrock?

Not changeable, but they should last for longer than the owner
