My God, you are such a gem in the fragrance world. You allow me to enjoy this hobby at a higher level than I ever would have . I would hope you would consider a “Masterclass” as you say where other hobbyists could gather and we could experience this type of discussion in person with your guidance. What a fun way to enjoy your collection with others and make a return on investment on your collection as well. I am sure you would have many people wanting this type of interaction and be will be willing to invest the price of a fine bottle of perfume for the experience. Please consider this and I look forward to meeting you in the future perhaps.
Thank you so much for the kind words....it really means a lot.. .I could do a livestream... that way we could all be there and the people who want to join & hope on and show their faces could...i guess in the future we could do private live streams where it is a small select group of people and then once its not live anymore we could post it to the channel for everyone to see 🤷♂️
@@RamseytheRam what most of us need is a class in person . The same way I learned about notes in wine. When you talk about what iris does to a fragrance or the perfect use of lychee for instance the only way I can learn that is have those reference bottles on hand and to smell them with you and the scent memories is indelible.
That is going to be harder to do... i wouldnt be completely opposed go the idea but i would have to think through the details...plus who is going to fly to Texas to meet me? 😂🛩
@@RamseytheRam it would be a “niche” group of people for sure, but that is your curated following. You may want to test the waters and see. My wife is an avid reader and does monthly book clubs . This could be the same idea. What part of Texas are you from? Is it hard to get to? Hopefully you are near Dallas which is the easiest airport to fly direct. I would fly there in a heartbeat . I am not a virtual learner. Hated all the virtual stuff during CoVid. I wanted to fly to Milan for the fragrance gathering last month but it was not focused on the stuff you speak of. It was a dog and pony show. I am a dentist and a continual student. With dentistry I fly around the world and learn from the best. I know fragrance is different but nothing exists like that now and if anyone has a passionate audience involved in fragrance enough to travel it would be you.
Actually i live about 45 min from DFW airport so it wouldnt be impossible
Hard to see past lonestar memories as the best release of the year, what a scent 🐏🦆
Amazing isnt it? Andys best work... ever 👂🏼👀
@@RamseytheRam 👀👀👀
Great list ,always intrigued with your ,this year in perfumes vids. 20006 is no exception, Ferrer for men ,Antidote, and of course Lonestar memories. Only have lone star of these 3 but who knows in the future, cheers fella have a good one 👍🙏✌️
Thanks Bren... if you get your nose on any of Ferré for Men or Antidote... report back and let me know what you think 🍻
Great year great video 🐏! Ferre for men was the first fragrance I ever bought in an airport. Loved it
Amazing... its a great fragrance that gets no love in fragcomm.. now that Pierre Bourdon is a superstar though... Ferre for Men might get some shine 🙃
2006. a year before Amouage - Jubilation 25 for Man was born !
Let's go Ramsey...
Double celebration today in Serbia ;
on this day ( 10.07.1856.) the most glorious Serbian son was born and that is Nikola Tesla.
And today Novak Đoković win his 21 Grand Slam on Wimbledon.
The scent of the day - Green Irish Tweed !
Greetings from Serbia...
Đokovic is probably the greatest Tennis player of his generation & Tesla is one of the smartest human beings to ever have lived..
IMHO of course :)
Novak earned it ❤️ and Kyrgios is a lunatic...
Man I gotta check out Lonestar Memories
You do ...its absolutely amazing and my favorite Tauer ... let me know your thoughts once you get your nose on it 🐽
Wonderful feature length film lol ... Great year... great releases. I say yes to all ... And you've really peaked my interest with that Tabac Tabou. I've been getting into Immortelle recently. Gonna have to sort out a bottle. Keep up the great content my friend ✌🏻
It is one of my favorite immortelle notes ever used along with Sables & sunshine man... if you get Tabac Tabou do let me know what you make of it my friend 😊
Trussardi inside for men is definitely a underrated gem one of my favorites of all time. not many people talk about it or even smelt it as its hard to find
Very hard to find and rare... but I think its one of the most under appreciated Nathalie Lorson scent... thanks for watching & commenting 😊
@Ramsey I agree and it’s not to sweet like many others just masculine and well blended with the coffee tobacco and wood notes
Terre d Hermes and Trussardi inside both released in 2006 with a few others.. my opinion the last of the greats 🙂
Or maybe after 2010 we had Bleu de Chanel? Which is no way near the quality and smell of the past masterpieces
Very true about Ferre for Men. And Varvatos Vintage is still my signature camping scent to this day. ⛺ Does wonders to attract mosquitoes, believe you me. 😆Screw it, it layers well with bugspray.🌲 2006 another great year. Antidote, YSL's L'homme, Amber Pour Homme, Valentino V, Eau des Baux and TdH. Superb depiction of Lonestar Memories too. Truly is an immense fragrance. 🤠
Immense is the word for lonestar memories... Andy's best work IMO ... thanks for watching as always and I will remember that camping tip for the future 😊
Fabulous episode!! In the realm of incense, have you ever got your nose on Cathedrale by Berry?
No never ... But Cathedrale & Holy Stick by Chapel Factory are on my to sniff list 😊
I would love to see a video about Pierre Wargnyes fragrances He was a great perfumer
Yes sir! It is on the list my friend 🍺
The fact that Parfum d'Empire is so underrated in fragcomm is an actual crime. Ambre Russe and Cuir Ottoman are some of the best frags i have ever tried
They are fantastic ... thanks for watching &b commenting 🍻
I'm looking at basenotes for the 2006 releases ... what a list! I have ... Burberry Man (bought for husband, he never reaches for it. :/ Just reminded him how good it is! :) Kenzo Amour, Gris Clair by Serge Lutens, Dzongkha by L'Artisan (what a beauty!), Badgly Mischka, Rien by ELdO, Gucci Envy Me 2, Maharadjah by Nicolai, Scent of Peace Bond No. 9, Cannabis Santal by Fresh (might have decanted it all.), Antihéros by ELdO, Le Bain Sensuelle Russie by Esteban (gorgeous and not many know this one), Allure Sensuelle by Chanel. And that'll do it. I see some I'd *like* to have! 😁 My SOTD: Chevrefeuille (2004) by Christiane Celle.
That is quite the list indeed... thanks for watching & commenting Holly 😊
'Nothing' is everything. Antoine Lie is a genius.
I agree... love his whole atitude & I love the fact he rebeled against the establishment
Love Lonestar Memories. I also really dig Tauer08 Un Rose Chypree. Once on Facebook I told Andy I loved even more than both of them is to layer URC over LM...the result I like to call Eau de Brokeback Mountain! Not only did he love it but said he was going to try it himself! ;-) If you like chypres and roses that lean masculiune/vintage try 08; you can thank me later! smell swell & be well! xox
That's hilarious 😂 😃 😄
Ramsey if you need anything from Saudi market let me know. Love to help. Keep up the great work. Best of luck
Thank you my friend... that is very kind 🤜🤛🏻
First of all thank you for you well prepared review. Ferre for Men one of the best no doubt. I do believe you missed one of the gems which is essential for Men by angel schlesser. Alberto morillas
Never smelled that one but I will put it on the to sniff list 😎
* Retro fragrances of the 70s & ’80s were very different, unlike today's overpriced hype! We wore fragrances that were dirty, animalic & intoxicating! These masterpieces that were capable of attracting women...etc.
I love the dirty animalic frags.... what can I say? Just a man born in the wrong time 😂
@@RamseytheRam*Bel Ami, *Grey Flannel & *Portos TO NAME A FEW!!!!! were aphrodisiac scents that possessed erotic qualities. "Drop-the-mic!
EYE HAVNT TRIED ALL THA INCENSE FRAGZ BUT MY FAVORITE SO FAR IZ CHAPEL FACTORYS HOLY STICK....ITZ INCENSE B4 U SET FIRE 2 IT....ITZ SO REALISTIC DAT IT BOGGLES THA MIND....GOTT MINE FRUM LUCKYSCENT PLUS U NEVR HEAR ANY 1 TALKING ABOUT IT (SMH)
I heard a few people talk about it but those rumblings went away .... i will put it on the to sniff list 😊
Hi - could you write what is the batch code of this Encre Noire? Thanks.
D0D21
