I used to tutor Daniel Levy, and when his father, Eugene, asked if I wanted anything, I jokingly replied that I would love filet mignon. I got steak every time I went there for the next year and a half. Absolutely lovely people.
Back in the early 1990s, when I lived in Humboldt County, I was with a lovely woman who owned a vintage clothing shop. One day she totally blew me off when I called her shop around the time she was closing. She merely said, "Dustin's here, I gotta go." It turned out that it was Dustin Hoffman and that she had kept her shop open for him so that he could shop privately. Now, coupled with the fact that when we were at the Chris Isaak concert, my girlfriend Lora was brought up to the stage by him and he sang into her eyes for more than one song and he had even invited her to hang out after the concert, I knew I never really stood a chance to ever one up her in the meet-a-celebrity department. Yet, about a week after "Dustin" shopped at her store, I decided to walk across the street to the coffee shop to grab a cup of Joe while I waited for her to finish up so we could do lunch. While I was waiting for the workers to brew my house coffee during their lunch rush, I struck up a conversation with the pretty redhead who was also waiting for her drink to be made. To this day, I don't remember what we talked about, but I do remember that I thought she was very charming and I really thought she was a neat person and wished I could get to know better. The city I was living in was small enough that I knew I'd run into her again for sure. As soon as she left, the barista asked me if I knew her since we had carried on for about ten minutes like we were old friends. I told her that I had no clue who she was because I had just met her. She said, "Molly Ringwald." That brought a smile to my face because it sure explained that when I introduced myself to her before she left and when she told me her name she was smiling ear to ear. She probably was so happy to meet me because she hadn't had to introduce herself to anyone in a very long time. Looking back, I think that perhaps she found it very refreshing to talk to a person who didn't recognize her, but perhaps she is really that nice to everyone, even those who are starstruck. Who knows? All I do know is that when I returned to my girlfriend's store, I said, "Sorry it took a minute, I ran into my friend Molly and we had to catch up..." Lora just shrugged and went to get her purse and not even thirty seconds later, her best friend Dan rushed into the store in his usual excited and flamboyant way saying, "Molly Ringwald is here! Molly Ringwald is in town!" Sure, maybe I didn't one up my friend Lora, but meeting Molly Ringwald as a regular person sure made me feel pretty good that day. I don't think Molly would remember meeting me that day even if you paid her, but I sure remember it like it was yesterday. Best to you all-
Glad to see Brendan Fraser on this list. The accounts of people who have had a great experience meeting him, because he was so nice, kind and courteous to them, and the people who worked with him saying what a pleasure it was, are too numerous to count. Overwhelming consensus is that this man definitely deserves a place here.
Met Keanu on the subway. Honestly the most beautiful, nicest and gentlest soul I've ever met. ❤ It's not a phony nice like some celebrities, it's genuine.
Next time you’ve gotta include Scottish actor David Tennant: one of the nicest people on the planet. When a friend happened to run into him at a Comic Con ( it was in the back of the auditorium which was empty and she was going through it as a short cut back to the main part) she was startled to see David Tennant also alone heading to a back room, clearly on his way to his lunch break. She was too shy to speak to him, but he stopped, gave her a sunny smile and asked if she wanted a photo. My friend said yes, but she told him she felt bad about cutting into his lunch break. Tennant ( who is super skinny) told her not to worry about it because “ I’m no stranger to eating “. Without thinking my fried replied, “ You could have fooled me.” Tennant heartily laughed, took the selfie, shook her hand and went on to his delayed lunch. What a nice guy.
Jeremy renner should have been on this list. He’s one of the nicest actors I’ve seen. Got run over by a snow cat trying to save his nephew buried in snow, takes care of his daughter, and has done many more things. He’s very underrated
Yeah, but this is watchmojo and Renner is not a virtue signalling leftist Hollywood weirdo. Half this list is "They support the lgbtlmnop community so they are good."
@ emily larses. You might be thinking of *Jeremy* *Renner*'s nephew, Cooper Hoofman, (PSH's son...HE was the one who got run over by a snow cat, but he made it out alive. He was badly hurt, though.) That event happened up near Reno, at Renner's ski house. ~ ~ *Philip* *was* *not* *underrated*, dear one! Fun fact: PSH and Sir Paul McCartney were good friends, before Philips' death at his apartment in New York City, from a drug overdose. Very sad...
I knew Brendan Fraser long before he became "famous in movies" and he was so kind to me, just sweet, down to earth, a real friend. His life has changed; many ups and downs, but in interviews I have seen since, he is still the same friend and person I knew way back in 1989.
How does Henry Winkler get constantly shafted on these "nice celebrity" lists?! I met him in person at a comic convention, and he was very cordial to everyone despite his plane being late. He even slipped me a free autograph picture! Once on Seth Meyer's show he won the crew's pool and told Seth to use the money to buy them pizza! I CONSTANTLY hear stories about how nice Henry is!
I met Harvey Korman (Carol Burnett Show) in a Texas airport in the 1980's. I was flying home in my military dress blues and I decided to grab some food during a layover. The seating area was completely packed, so I was just kinda standing there with my food. An older gentleman who was sitting with a young woman stood up and waved me to their table. As I sat down, I looked over to thank him and immediately recognized him - I grew up watching the Carol Burnett Show. He was with his daughter and they were visiting colleges in Texas for her. They were both extremely friendly and he chatted with me about his experiences in the military during WWII. It was a neat experience.
The Winkler family had a summer place in my hometown in NY. His mom used to come into the grocery store where I worked and ask if I knew about Henry. This was during Happy Days. She was so sweet and so proud.
The FACT that you have Tom Hanks playing Mr. Rodgers says it all. I really need to watch that movie but I know it's going to make me cry so hard. One legendary nice guy playing another legendary nice guy who taught a lot of us how to be nice to others and ourselves.
Emilia Clarke is the biggest sweetheart. She sold her expensive home to live in a nice little apartment and hangs around her mom a lot and helps the poor people there.
Jack Black? Charles Martinet? Chris Hemsworth? I've heard nothing but positive things about those celebs. And I'm sure there's plenty more who are nice, genuine people. I suppose you couldn't put them all in the list.
love this video, with so many stories you hear of celebs being a-holes it’s nice that some are genuinely lovely people 😊 little keanu story that happened recently - he was in the uk with his band, and my friend was working the merch desk at their london show. she got to watch them soundcheck and keanu came around afterwards shaking everybody’s hand. now for those who don’t know, in live music the people behind the scenes don’t get anywhere near enough credit or recognition they deserve. the sound guys, lighting guys, merch guys, bar staff, they all help to make it work. for keanu to come off stage and say hi to everybody doing their job and shake their hands, that is a real one right there. long live keanu reeves!!!
Jim Carrey was utterly cruel to Cathriona White, who OD'd on his medication after he was unbelievably cruel and giving her an STD. He claimed to have paid for her funeral, when in fact he paid nothing.
Glad I met Tom Hiddleston when I first met him at Megacon in Orlando, FL. He was so nice that he told me that I look lovely. Can't wait to meet a few nice actors from the MCU.
@@freddiemercury2075 I’m wondering if they thought it was just common knowledge that they wouldn’t need to but not everyone knows that fact so it would have been better to just mention that
I'm surprised Taylor Swift wasn't included here. From pushing past her bodyguards to greet a young fan in New York to attending someone's wedding shower and bringing gifts, there's nothing Taylor won't do for her fans. She's an icon, an inspiration, and an angel to people everywhere. Her kindness knows no bounds.
Bakes cookies for her fans. Gives huge tips to servers. Opens up a rehearsal to raise money for tornado victims, donates millions of dollars to Food banks, ….
Maybe it’s because of how many famous feuds she’s had over the years? She also reportedly treated Calvin Harris like shit towards and following the end of their relationship, and had some sort of ‘situationship’ with that horrible prick Matt Healy from The 1975. Before I’m leapt on by Swifties, I don’t have a problem with Taylor, neither am I really a fan. Just ambivalent 🤷♀️
Wow! That's awesome! Love Pantera! I met Eminem back around 2004. I live in Warren, Michigan where he grew up. A guy I knew used to be his bodyguard. His name is Dwyane. I used to cut his grass, and I remember Eminem was over at his house while I was mowing Dwyane's lawn, and my god.....Eminem was one of the biggest jerks I ever came across. Maybe he's changed since then.....Idk.
@@Donscottmusic that's a bummer Eminem was a jerk. I would hope he's gotten more personable as he's aged...the only musician I met who was a total ass was Rikki Rockett from Poison. And I don't even like Poison! He was just at the mall I worked in back in high school...
@@KattMurr I would hope so as well! 🙂 Lol that's no surprise that someone from Poison was a douche hahaha. Pretty much sums up the whole "Hair/Glam Metal" era in a nutshell 😂 Maybe he couldn't find a can of hairspray that day lol
I was a bartender, on the Riverwalk, it's a big tourist thing here!!! I have met actors. bands, sports stars, wrestlers etc. The coolest person I have ever met was Billy Bob Thornton real down to earth person doesn't look down on anybody and gave me a $500 tip, just an awesome person
Grey DeLisle (the voice actress/singer) is one who belongs on this list. She recognized and acknowledged ME when I went to one of her concerts. Tara Strong is also impossibly nice.
I worked at Tower Records in Hollywood back in the mid/late 90's and Robin Williams came into the store. He was very quiet and shy but happily signed autographs for the staff. To the guy on the register that rang him up, Robin wrote 'you give good receipt'. WHAT a legend!!!! RIP
Keanu Reeves 100000000%, but Dwayne Johnson? I’m always reading he’s disrespectful to his cast and crew by being late all the time, getting involved when he shouldn’t be, and using his status to get what he wants.
the locker room of the WWE is full of BIG egos and alpha males. Yet, there are just a few Wresters he couldn´t work with. Most of them have only nice words for Dwayne !
There’s a lot of nasty people and Hollywood and the rock doesn’t have the patience for all of that all the time. Almost every single fan here interacts with has nothing but nice things to say about him.
thats why I love Keanu... that's why he topped the list...no doubt...he is such a down-to-earth person..so humble and simple.....I love him always forever.....
You forgot Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, James Gandolfini, Johnny Depp, Paul Walker, Heath Ledger, Elvis Presley, Chadwick Boesman, Andrew Garfield, and Robert Downey Jr.
I wish they did a list of the top 10 celebrities that have died but were among the nicest celebrities before their deaths. Michael Jackson would be no 1 on this list. I would also add Robin Williams, Steve Irwin, Brittany Murphy, Jimmy Stewart, Gregory Peck, Audrey Hepburn, Betty White, Dean Martin and Don Rickles. I agree with the others that you also listed.
Adam Lambert is another celeb who is INCREDIBLY kind. I got the chance to meet him at a VIP event during his GlamNation tour, and he was like a big ray of sunshine. I'm an illustrator and had made a piece of him in an iconic feathered top hat he wore during the tour. I took two prints of it with me: one for him to sign for me, and one for him to keep. You would have thought I had given him the Mona Lisa with how he excitedly fawned over it, gushing over how gorgeous it was and exclaiming "YOU DID THIS??! 🤯" like it was the most incredible thing he'd ever seen. He even stepped away from the meet and greet area in the middle of it all and ran over to the band's dressing room, opening the door and setting the print in a chair saying, "I don't want this to get bent, guys! Please watch it for me!" before returning to the meet and greet and giving me a HUGE bear hug. He told me that his most favorite thing in the world to receive from fans was fanart, so he absolutely loved mine. I could tell he was sincere about it the entire time, too. At that same show my dad had a run in with him as well while sitting in the hotel bar. He said Adam came in wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses to ask the bartender where they could park their bus, and he exchanged a few words with my dad, too. He said Adam was incredibly nice to him, too. His fandom is full of similar stories of how lovely and down to earth he is in person.
Met Woody Harrelson when i was 12 and his band played a county fair, during the second set of his shoe he broght me up to sit on stage and then gave me 2 free t-shirts...but he did take my hat, he was nice
100% agree with fellow commenters that Mr. Henry Winkler definitely belongs on this list. Never heard a bad word about him and he is apparently one of the sweetest people ever.
Do a Nicest Voice Actor List! 1. Tom Kenny 2. Kevin Conroy 3. Dante Basco 4. Johnny Yong Bosch 5. Tara Strong 6. Grey DeLisle 7. Rob Paulsen 8. Veronica Taylor
My son who’s been a Batman fan since he was 3 he’s 19 now and he met Kevin Conroy who was an absolute sweetheart and gave him a autograph. When he found he passed away he was heartbroken.
Brian May of Queen? He is one of the nicest rockstars in all of entertainment, I never had any interaction with him but he did point me out when I was at the Queen + Adam Lambert concert in February 2020. There are a couple more that you could add are Al Pacino, Henry Winkler, Margot Robbie, Cillian Murphy and Rami Malek.
The list isn’t done yet but Graham Norton himself should be on it. He also seem super nice on or off camera. His show is by far the best show to watch celebrity on. Always so relaxed ambience there brining out the best in the guests. And he did a movie with Michelle Pfeiffer once!
Now make maybe this list with celebrities who became famous the last decade (since 2014). This includes child, teenager or Netflix and other streaming stars. I want to know who are nice even at the beginning of their careers.
I met Mark Sheppard (Crowley from Supernatural) once he hugged me, called me darling, told me he loved me when I told him I loved him, and we had a moment where we were holding hands and we let go slowly. It was very sweet and fun. I met Elijah Wood and Sean Astin once, I told them they looked great and I mentioned being taller than them, Sean said it wasn't hard being taller than Elijah and laughed, I told him I was 6'1" and he said 'Oh that's beautiful'.
I met Richard Gere in my hometown many years ago. He was there for an award ceremony for his film and humanitarian efforts. There were many people there and I knew the chances of getting to meet him was a long shot. As he was leaving he was shaking hands with people and I just sorta snuck through the crowd and thought it was just going to be a hi how are you and goodbye, but how wrong In was. As I was about to leave I noticed he was still standing looking at me to talk, I was surprised and I continued my conversation with him. I told him thank you for coming and he put his hand on his heart saying thank you for having me. I asked him if I could give him a hug as it was for two of my friends and he said yes and I hugged him. The nicest guy I have ever me and still can't belive I had that experience with him.
Exactly. Us normal folks put them into the spotlight in the first place and supported them throughout their careers weather its acting, sport or music. They are human beings too and we helped them get to where are today. They should show consideration, kindness and compassion towards their supporters.
Keanu Reeves is the most wholesome celebrity ever without question. Even when it comes to extreme fandom he handles it better than anybody in Hollywood. The countless trespassing on his property, even breaking and entering. To how he has the standard of never placing his hand on a womans back when he does photos, A true gentleman for sure. However I got John Cena #2 on this list because I dont think any other celebrity has ever done more charity work than him. The countless smiles he put on kids faces, All the Make A Wish stuff. Whats so impressive about him is he always stayed the same with each and every single Wish he granted. One of the most giving celebrities ever.
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! On my list, the nicest of all is John Cena. I have never seen a celebrity like him. There are quite a lot of videos of John being the nicest person available on TH-cam. My respect to him.
Good list, but so many names to add, so little time. If you do nicest musicians/singers specifically, please include Adam Lambert and Dr. Sir Brian May. Both are so sweet, funny, brilliant and down to earth!
I’ve heard nothing but good things about Gerard Butler. He’s known to interact with casting crew during breaks and insists on them calling him Jerry. He also helps out with the organization, Mary’s Meals.
Jimmy Fallon was so nice to us when we went on his show. He also thanked the whole audience for coming out after the pandemic and expressed how much it meant to him to see people fill his audience and be there to laugh at his jokes.
Samuel L Jackson should be on this list. He’s been in the Philadelphia area several times over the years and people around here have been genuinely impressed by his kindness and generosity.
Im glad some celebrities understand their success is part talent and hard work and part fan praise. You can be the most talented actor on earth but if nobody sees your movies, youre back working at Burger King. They may be famous but theyre also human and it cant be easy having thousands of people want to meet you
it makes me really happy when I hear such nice things like this. Especially when it’s so hard to find a lot of nice people these days because they’re so rare. I just can’t help but cry in a good way I mean. Where I live they’re just starting enough people like that. It would be really nice to meet a celebrity like that. But I know they’ll never happen. Would be nice though.
Nicest ones ive had rhe pleasure of meeting have been Jamison Newlander and Billy Wirth from The Lost Boys, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy from Dr Who, and John Barrowman
Buscemi is probably the best guy out there, alongside Keanu. Buscemi gave up acting for a time to do what others do for living...running towards danger while everyone else is running away. Keanu is so respectful to others.
I grew going to Paradise Cove in Malibu as a kid in the summer with my family in the 1970s where they filmed some of the Rockford Files with James Gardner in that secluded beach. He was so nice to everyone ever time we were there and they were filming, playing frisbee and football with us kids. Very down to earth and nice man!
Jim Carrey was utterly cruel to Cathriona White, who OD'd on his medication after he was unbelievably cruel and giving her an STD. He claimed to have paid for her funeral, when in fact he paid nothing.
There’s always a nice celebrity out there depending mainly on their mood or if you caught them at a bad time. One example. Filmmaker Danny Leiner of “Dude, Where’s My Car” and “Harold & Kumar go to White Castle.” I had a good conversation with him when he visited my California college campus years ago.
I would like to add the late, great musician Stevie Ray Vaughan to the list. He was known to be an absolutely sweet and humble man. When he died tragically at the age of 35 in a helicopter crash, his bandmates and other musicians who knew him were beyond devastated to lose this soft spoken, warm and kind soul.
The nicest celebrity I have ever met was Robin Williams. He came into a convince store and gas station I was in. It had a hooker in it and as soon as she left he broke into about 1/2 hr of jokes. I have never laughed so hard in my life.
I met Mary Tyler Moore back in the summer of 2003 and it was by pure chance, I was 17 at the time and on vacation in NYC with my family on the second to last day of our trip I had finally managed to convince my parents to let me explore the city on my own. As I was walking down Madison Avenue I ran into her I discreetly approached her and introduced myself, I told her what a huge fan I was of hers and that I watched both of her shows on Nick at Nite with my parents as a kid. She flashed my that famous big wide beautiful smile of hers and thanked me for being a fan, she was one the nicest people I've ever met she was so kind polite and personable everything about her just oozed warm vibes, we talked for about 20 minutes and she signed my diary which I still have it was one of the best days of my life.
Brendan Fraser, Keanu Reeves, Chris Evans, and Hugh Jackman definitely deserve to be on this list-- and Dolly Parton, of course. I would also add to this list Julie Andrews and (the late) Betty White.
Former FDNY Firefighter Steve Buscemi is a truly wonderful person & on the week of September 11 2001; he went to ground zero & helped clear debris & looked for people in the rubble while refusing to speak to any of the press because he felt that the job was more important.
In 2022, I met Summer Glau from Serenity and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Such a lovely person. When I met her and got her autograph, I broke down crying and she hugged me. She said that I made her special and she hopes one day we will meet again. She cares about her fans.

@@freddiemercury2075 Right? That's like being surprised to see Kobe or Jordan at number one on a basketball video. Lol
Tom Hanks, Keanu Reeves, Jim Carrey, & Al Pacino. I've Never heard anybody say anything bad about any of them.

Glad I met Tom Hiddleston when I first met him at Megacon in Orlando, FL. He was so nice that he told me that I look lovely. Can't wait to meet a few nice actors from the MCU.
My niece met him at Megacon too ! I’m so jealous!
MCU actors are all really nice - except for Brie Larson.
If it included celebs no longer with us Robin Williams got to be Top 3 a genuine and polite and generous man! RIP Robin.
I’m not surprised at mark Hamill. He always seems like a nice guy like a lot of star wars people
Just wish he stayed off Twitter along with Stephen King.

I am just upset they never mentioned him as The Joker.
@@freddiemercury2075 I’m wondering if they thought it was just common knowledge that they wouldn’t need to but not everyone knows that fact so it would have been better to just mention that
Jim Henson was a very kind gentle man when he was alive and such a creative person.
I met Kevin Bacon once and he was a really good guy with a terrific sense of humor.
I just fast forwarded to the end had to make sure Keanu was #1
Same
I knew lol
Is there even any doubt ?
Ditto!
Melissa Etheridge. She came to one of my concerts. Shook my hand backstage. Really nice.
Seeing Jim Carrey, Pedro Pascal, Daniel Radcliffe, Paul Rudd, and Mark Hamill on this list makes my heart happy.
Same!!! lol. Was waiting for her, I'm so surprised she's not here on the list!
I met Dimebag Darrell from Pantera in 1995. He was exceptionally nice! My most cherished memory!!
Patton Oswalt helped pay the medical bills for someone he had deep disagreements with politically. And Jeri Ryan is also great with her fans.
I met Dolph Lundgren not too many years ago for about 40-45 minutes. He was very nice and down to earth.
I wish to meet Keanu Reeves
I’ve also heard besides being a national treasure, Martin Short is very kind.
“Always”? Or recently, because that’s what been shoved forward the past month?
the locker room of the WWE is full of BIG egos and alpha males.
@@heatherqualy9143 It's been around for a while. It's simply gotten more profile recently.
How was the Rock #3 & Daniel Radcliffe #24?? A star's popularity doesn't put them higher on the list!
thats why I love Keanu... that's why he topped the list...no doubt...he is such a down-to-earth person..so humble and simple.....I love him always forever.....
@roxy5588 John candy
@roxy5588 oh and Bob saget
I think it's really cool to meet the nicest down to earth celebrities like these
Adam Lambert is another celeb who is INCREDIBLY kind.

I am surprised Michael Keaton isn't on the list. Met him back in 2001. One of the coolest and nicest guys ever.
Shaq and Keanu Reeves are truly down to earth they are just about the only people that will walk right up to you and you know it’s genuine
Where the hell are Emily Blunt? Meryl Streep?!!! Emma Thompson??!! Sandra Bullock?! And the listgoes on.
Could do a Top 50 or even a Top 100.
I met John Travolta when I was working at McDonald’s and he came to drive-through in Clearwater Florida. Lived in Bellair Beach then. Around 1991.
About time we focus on the positive.:)
One celebrity I have met that I can say for sure is super nice is Brian Blessed.
Awesome list! Kinda wish Eddie Vedder was in this, but your picks are great!
Charles Martinet deserves a mention as well. He’s one of the sweetest men in the world. 😊
Celebrities should be nice to their fans. Where would they be Without their fans?
These acts of kindness inspires me to become just like them in the future and hopefully to meet them someday
I met Redd Fox in a grocery store in Las Vegas while shopping with my family. He did the here I come Elizabeth bit for my son. Super nice and kind.
Denzel Washington " I'm not always nice; you saw training day " lol
I've met a few actors in my life and in my experience there are more nice actors then jerks.
Robert Downey seems like a nice humble person too.
Keanu my boy
Come on, we all saw Keanu Reeves was gonna be number one 😇
Bradley Cooper & Rami Malek too..Very nice dudes..Down to earth
Samuel L Jackson should be on this list. He’s been in the Philadelphia area several times over the years and people around here have been genuinely impressed by his kindness and generosity.
Lost it at Angelina Jolie
Dave Bautista is over the rock as of wrestler turned actor.
Im glad some celebrities understand their success is part talent and hard work and part fan praise. You can be the most talented actor on earth but if nobody sees your movies, youre back working at Burger King. They may be famous but theyre also human and it cant be easy having thousands of people want to meet you
Where are all of the voice actors like Rob Paulsen and Charles Martinet? I've met both and they are such cool dudes!
Elvis was a seemingly nice person...despite his problems with drugs and a bit with fame.
it makes me really happy when I hear such nice things like this. Especially when it’s so hard to find a lot of nice people these days because they’re so rare. I just can’t help but cry in a good way I mean. Where I live they’re just starting enough people like that. It would be really nice to meet a celebrity like that. But I know they’ll never happen. Would be nice though.

There’s always a nice celebrity out there depending mainly on their mood or if you caught them at a bad time. One example. Filmmaker Danny Leiner of “Dude, Where’s My Car” and “Harold & Kumar go to White Castle.”
I had a good conversation with him when he visited my California college campus years ago.
Bruce Springsteen, Rami Malek, Paul Newman and Robert D. junior
Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Clint Eastwood, Kevin Bacon, Samuel L. Jackson and Matt Damon needs to be on list as well
The nicest celebrity I have ever met was Robin Williams.
