Yea its sad how when a fan base loves its media so much they will except any bs from it just to say its good or that the creator can do no wrong or is above criticism. I love the series too but honestly lately there been alot of pacing issues, conflicting or confusing information, get out of jail free cards, unnecessary glazing and alot of other problems and most fans just ignore it because their favorite character is winning and story are moving in the direction they want. The current excuse if you have any problems with the story is you dont like sukuna winning. Like nobody is surprised or mad that sukunas is beating a bunch of kids that have no business fighting him that makes sense its the fact for someone who is supposed to be so strong and holding back he is honestly appearing to have a hard time but yet the story tries to tell you otherwise. Like if he's so good damn powerful why is this fight still going? it makes no sense for him at this time to still be playing with them after he beat maki the last person he had any real interest in. How can anyone be interested in the stakes at this point when there's no back and forth its no hope for the other side to possibly win at this point and on top of that its repetitively boring with the fight formula. And trying to gas up these clearly weaker characters like they about to do something to sukuna at this point is a sad sell fr you not gaslighting me into believing their hype just for them to get packed up it one chapter or offscreened.
Honestly I feel like this is worse with Madara’s situation, at least we had Naruto and Sasuke to still beat him and undo the infinite Tsukuyomi. Who do we have for Sakuna now? Half of the cast are Schrödinger’s characters now, how is anyone going to beat Sakuna?
No where near as bad as Madara...you've just forgotten what he was back then week to week with Madara, at no point in that entire arc did anyone even make progress against Madara. Madara was getting regular power ups alongside the cast even when he didn't need them. There was no point in the entire 4th great shinobi war where Madara was pushed to the point where he needed anything like a black flash. Progress is very clearly being made with Sukuna, even if he "hasn't gone all out", Gege has still put us in a situation where the main concern is that Sukuna may regain some of the capabilities he's lost. I do think we need to switch over to Hakari vs Uraume for a while or the merger needs to happen. Kishimoto DID write himself into a corner that resulted in Kaguya(and the poor quality of the war arc in general), but it's misinformation that he couldn't figure out how to beat Madara; and Sukuna is NOWHERE near as bad as Madara was getting. Remember Madara got revived with RInne-Rebirth and OPENED the final battle by convincingly beating all 9 of the tailed beasts and "killing" both Naruto and Sasuke, and then was barely pushed at all until he was ultimately black Zetsu'd. Don't let you're dissatisfaction with Sukuna-Kaisen (which you're entitled to) retroactively nostalgia-goggle you into thinking the final Madara Battle was better then it was, It was soooooo much worse than this.
What do you mean bring back he was always apart of the story. Just because Gege made a decision that no one would guess doesn't mean it's a bad decision. You definitely can't say that Miguel is a random out of nowhere character that was made just for this situation.
Gege has already planned how the series will end, it's not like he is waking up every week with new idea, have trust in the writing brother, if the end sucks then criticism makes absolute sense otherwise it's just whining.

It is way more likely that the fallen fighters will return to fight again but they will need to all go out together to do anything. This will most likely end with Megumi and Yuji just like it started.
Here is how to ruin your anime/manga: -make a villain with a dumb motivation -save them from all situations they should lose by way of divine intervention -make all protagonist characters hold the idiot ball -make all female characters worthless jobbers who do nothing but lose -have a montage of everyone losing to your super great villain for shock value and even introduce new characters just to have more to kill -protagonist wins by getting ultimate power by being the chosen one or w/e after nothing works on the villain -the end. As a writer it is up there with FMA and Soul Eater as series who made me the way I am today So you can tell why lately, I've been disappointed by late game JJK; it feels like Gege is taking the piss writing wise Miguel showing up honestly just showed me what kinda series this was gonna be and frankly, i dont want to waste my time anymore So i dropped the series. I already had my patience tested multiple times by lategame JJK but this wss my Megumi Screw It moment💀
I binged the manga after watching season 2 because I kept getting spoiled and honestly I started losing interest after he killed Kashimo and completely lost interest in this manga after he one shot Yuta. Like there are no stakes anymore, all the characters are dead or dying and Sukuna just pulls out another ass pull every time you think he is in any danger (Ah yes, my anti whatever technique, I haven't used this since the Heian era). People talk about Madara, but even he was still in the realm of possibly losing and the fight was still entertaining (until the bullshit Zetsu/Kaguya retcon). If Gege wants to keep sucking off Sukuna (he literally feels like when you were a kid playing pretend and there was that annoying kid that just kept pulling bullshit like ''oh my character can do this to counter everything your character does''), he should just wrap it up and have him kill everyone, I'm probably dropping this manga.
I feel like the main issue is really just the week to week chapter release schedule. Like once the story is all finished up the Sukuna Gauntlet will be looked back on very fondly as this dramatic clash between this extreme powerhouse and the remaining squad of fellas, but currently most people are just tired of the waiting a week or two and being let down by the result. I don’t really wanna say this amounts to bad writing yet, since anything can happen, but even if that’s the case, currently I’m having a blast seeing what all these characters have amounted up to at this point and watching how Sukuna is going to handle himself against the nonstop jumpings, the arc just needs to stick the landing at the end.

The kenjaku fight was my least favourite because i didn't get the japanese humour and his death was anticlimatic in my opinion but that's just my opinion.

Stopped reading after shibuya came back a month ago could barely force myself to continue, read the last 15 chapters, never been so disappointed in my life. It all got disgustingly bad after Sukuna took Megumis body. Gege doesnt care about the story at all. I recently caught up to chainsaw man after taking a break cause I didnt like the reboot at first. Caught up and was all smiles and actually enjoyed it. Crazy how bad JJK is from the greatness that was the flashabck and shibuya arc.
Yea Sukuna winning would be a much better ending then Yuji ass pulling his way to victory. And I don't even like endings where the villains win but at this point this needs to end with Sukuna being victorious or some other ending like when everyone dies and it's only Yuji since Sukuna has been hating on him every chance he gets he'd probably off himself since fighting Yuji would be a joke to him and Yuji wins by default.

Gege is writing himself his own Madara and Aizen. The main villains are so OP there will have to be some asspulling in order to defeat the main character like dangai Ichigo or the sage of six paths power for naruto and sasuke.
It wasnt mid at the start, had good battle system, decent world building still confused how sukuna never went outside of japan, some cool and interesting characters with techniques, it's just gege doesnt know how to write
JJK just wasn't it after I saw that Kenjaku conclusion. How do you kill the character that created the entire plot of the manga in such a terrible way then to just have fight after fight in which none of them lead to anything. I used to love this manga so much now I'm just trying not to hate it and hope it gets better.
I think it’s better to wait until this conflict wraps up before people go this hard on Gege's writing. So many people were saying during the Culling Games that Jujutsu Kaisen was falling off, but now those same people love the Culling Games arc
Same with the Hikari vs Kashimo fight. The amount of hate was insane until a week or two after it concluded and then it became people’s favourite fight in the culling games… We gotta let Gege cook. Unfortunately as this is a weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) release, it can feel tedious which I do sympathise with but this is all leading somewhere like with prev arcs so let’s see where it goes
Honestly I agree to an extent I feel like we should have had a yuta vs Kenjaku full fight and hakari vs uraume that way we aren’t just focusing on sukuna also that one month time skip shouldn’t have been skipped we could have introduced Miguel back to story and him returning wouldn’t have been a shock
What do you expect, Sukuna is the king of curses and the strongest sorcerer in history, it was never gonna be easy. He’s literally taken on armies single handily in the heian era including a squad that had angels cursed techniques. Plus it’s been stated during the Gojo vs Sukuna that none of the other characters stood a chance and to not interfere as they would have died 100% yet you expect them to defeat Sukuna lol. Y’all severely lack reading comprehension and insight about what’s going on in the story. The merger will be summoned and Yuji and Sukuna will be involved as well as possibly megumi everybody else is not as relevant to the overall story and ending.

Imagine he loses to Yuji and the others for example when Yuta had him in his domain and Yuji was attacking his soul to separate Sukuna from megumi, then it basically invalidates the hien eras sorcerers strength as well as Sukunas for him to lose to a bunch of kids and grads 1 sorcerers. Why build up Sukunas strength and the heian era if they could defeat him so easily. Plus I think it's frustrating people for the repeating nature of new opponent , showcase some skill and threat then get defeated/killed because we are reading it week to week. When it's all said and done I think people will come to appreciate it. I feel we will be in this state for a bit longer but I'm sensing there soon will be something big reveal or plot twist that we gotta wait for

I've been out on jjk since the takaba fight. That was retarded to me. Plus kenjaku was a crazy fighter. Only other guy with a barrier less domain and his last fight is a tickle contest. What a waste. But gege is a wasteful writer. Kashi-ho is another great example
People gass shibuya incident so much forgetting that that arc did practically nothing to give charachterization to important characters like Dagon, Hanami, even choso barely got anything in that arc. And obviously Naobito zenin, Only one of the most impirtant characters in the world of jujutsu got no meaningful screentime and only got to explain his ability before getting bitzed by Jogo AND DAGON . The Kyoto students were all wasted which i hope everyone can agree with. Megumi, Nobara , Panda , Inumaki all got zero character development. Geto got screwed over and while kenjaku is a great villain later on he was very basic, by the books evil when he was introduced. The shibuya incident completely failed it's characters. The current arc and culling games do a much better job of giving side characters moments to reflect and have intimate character moments despite being so filled with action. Kashimo, higuruma, kusakabe, sukuna, yuta, yuji, gojo, even megumi despite having only 2 pages of screentime managed to use it as a great moment to show his current mental state. JJK fans really need to take off the rose tinted glasses and realize where the true qualities of the series lies. As for the current fight against sukuna, it's great. It's really great in fact. People actually wanting Yuta, Yuji, or Maki or Kashimo to be able to Finish Sukuna or be able to do critical damage to him without getting their asses beat have to be delusional. Also people keep saying that characters are dying left and right................ Like who? After Gojo there hasn't been a single confirmed death of a good guy, the closest thing is Higuruma being out of commision and Us not having a status update on him. Also Sukuna has been taking a beating and using every single skill and ability at hand just to survive his clashes with yuta, yuji and Maki, his armour has been chipped away slowly but surely becuase of the tactics of the jujutsu sorceror's. Also Miguel's appearance answers the long standing question of what Yuta was doing in Africa and his contact with Miguel. Miguel is also someone who is confirmed to be pretty strong considering he could just get back after getting beat on by gojo for quite a bit. We finally got to see more of Geto's crew as well which has been a bit overdue, so NO Miguel isn't random. Gege has given every character their due diligence and every small fight has added to the overrall goal of taking down sukuna. ( Except Kusukabe) The choreography, flow and general blow to blow action has been incredible so im personally super satisfied with the way gege has written this arc thus far.

I don't think it is fair to criticize Gege because he is killing characters one after the other because I think this was pre planned because why would any author want to kill their character for no reason. Yes the fights are one sided but it doesn't feel stale it's still dynamic and is reaching a certain point.
All the fights so far is basically; character fight, character does something cool, character loses, rinse and repeat Like what was the point of yuji and yuta going in and using cleave/blood manipulation/reaching megumi soul Then what was the point of maki stabbing sukuna heart if he just is unaffected I can go on, but none of the serups has delivered
There is a slight chance for Miguel to survive for 3 to 5 chapters or maybe more because Sukuna has never met him before and maybe never fought someone like him before since he is from Africa and Sukuna fought sorcerers in Japan in his era so there is a very very small chance of him gaining an advantage or Miguel will surprise us because could use the black rope like he used on Gojo in the movie or he has a cursed technique and domain. Why do I think this could happen because we have never seen him at his full potential and all we have seen from him is him tanking the hits Gojo gave him in the movie. If Sukuna says "Oh, I have experienced your kind before" then we are finished.

If we take what gege said about jjk ending this year,it actually may make culling games the weakest arc so far.Multiple chapters have been dedicated to fighting sukuna and the others that you could say not very much character moments managed to shine through.I'm not gonna sit here and say none managed because we got some good ideas but they aren't fleshed out and explored as much as i would like them to be.This fight heavy plot structure will most probably effect the pacing of the show.Maybe some plot and character points may fade away to flesh out some other more interesting ones that existed before the culling games or vice versa.

Naruto had some many good moments that was actually amazing story telling, itachi vs sasuke and how that unfolded, kakashi vs obito and their history, sasuke vs naruto, naruto's parents backstory, whom since the beginning was a fundamental challenge to naruto's development, so many good shit

And Madara will forever be goated for how he caused most of the event that transpired in the story his end almost sours the story to the point that it makes Naruto almost unreadable. And what I mean by that is the pay for for us getting to the point where Naruto and Sasuke can get there payback for all the things Madara put them through is taken away because Kishimoto didn’t know how to take out Madara; for he felt that he was to powerful…

This feels repetitive cause of the weekly release. In reality not a whole lot of chapters exist of Sukuna running the gauntlet with the main cast. Not only that but each fight has definitely been unique, each with their own gimmicks and the like. Not only that but the fight with Yuta and Yuji both set up multiple win conditions for Yuji and gave us some major plot development. And tbh, the fight betweeen Hakari and Uraume should def be off screen because seeing that fight would only slow down the story as Hakari and Uraume are not important enough characters to the plot to get most people interested.
He is not writing himself into a story it would be absolutely stupid to do that how could he actually do that after making such incredible awe-inspiring fights there's zero way that he would just forget how to write it's clearly just throwing us for a loop

Yea its sad how when a fan base loves its media so much they will except any bs from it just to say its good or that the creator can do no wrong or is above criticism.
I love the series too but honestly lately there been alot of pacing issues, conflicting or confusing information, get out of jail free cards, unnecessary glazing and alot of other problems and most fans just ignore it because their favorite character is winning and story are moving in the direction they want.
The current excuse if you have any problems with the story is you dont like sukuna winning. Like nobody is surprised or mad that sukunas is beating a bunch of kids that have no business fighting him that makes sense its the fact for someone who is supposed to be so strong and holding back he is honestly appearing to have a hard time but yet the story tries to tell you otherwise. Like if he's so good damn powerful why is this fight still going? it makes no sense for him at this time to still be playing with them after he beat maki the last person he had any real interest in.
How can anyone be interested in the stakes at this point when there's no back and forth its no hope for the other side to possibly win at this point and on top of that its repetitively boring with the fight formula. with Madara, at no point in that entire arc did anyone even make progress against Madara. Madara was getting regular power ups alongside the cast even when he didn't need them. There was no point in the entire 4th great shinobi war where Madara was pushed to the point where he needed anything like a black flash.
Progress is very clearly being made with Sukuna, even if he "hasn't gone all out", Gege has still put us in a situation where the main concern is that Sukuna may regain some of the capabilities he's lost.
I do think we need to switch over to Hakari vs Uraume for a while or the merger needs to happen.
Kishimoto DID write himself into a corner that resulted in Kaguya(and the poor quality of the war arc in general), but it's misinformation that he couldn't figure out how to beat Madara; and Sukuna is NOWHERE near as bad as Madara was getting. Remember Madara got revived with RInne-Rebirth and OPENED the final battle by convincingly beating all 9 of the tailed beasts and "killing" both Naruto and Sasuke, and then was barely pushed at all until he was ultimately black Zetsu'd.
Don't let you're dissatisfaction with Sukuna-Kaisen (which you're entitled to) retroactively nostalgia-goggle you into thinking the final Madara Battle was better then it was, It was soooooo much worse than this.

I binged the manga after watching season 2 because I kept getting spoiled and honestly I started losing interest after he killed Kashimo and completely lost interest in this manga after he one shot Yuta. Like there are no stakes anymore, all the characters are dead or dying and Sukuna just pulls out another ass pull every time you think he is in any danger (Ah yes, my anti whatever technique, I haven't used this since the Heian era). People talk about Madara, but even he was still in the realm of possibly losing and the fight was still entertaining (until the bullshit Zetsu/Kaguya retcon). If Gege wants to keep sucking off Sukuna (he literally feels like when you were a kid playing pretend and there was that annoying kid that just kept pulling bullshit like ''oh my character can do this to counter everything your character does''), he should just wrap it up and have him kill everyone, I'm probably dropping this manga.
I feel like the main issue is really just the week to week chapter release schedule. Like once the story is all finished up the Sukuna Gauntlet will be looked back on very fondly as this dramatic clash between this extreme powerhouse and the remaining squad of fellas, but currently most people are just tired of the waiting a week or two and being let down by the result.
I don’t really wanna say this amounts to bad writing yet, since anything can happen, but even if that’s the case, currently I’m having a blast seeing what all these characters have amounted up to at this point and watching how Sukuna is going to handle himself against the nonstop jumpings, the arc just needs to stick the landing at the end.

Imagine he loses to Yuji and the others for example when Yuta had him in his domain and Yuji was attacking his soul to separate Sukuna from megumi, then it basically invalidates the hien eras sorcerers strength as well as Sukunas for him to lose to a bunch of kids and grads 1 sorcerers. Why build up Sukunas strength and the heian era if they could defeat him so easily. People gass shibuya incident so much forgetting that that arc did practically nothing to give charachterization to important characters like Dagon, Hanami, even choso barely got anything in that arc. And obviously Naobito zenin, Only one of the most impirtant characters in the world of jujutsu got no meaningful screentime and only got to explain his ability before getting bitzed by Jogo AND DAGON . The Kyoto students were all wasted which i hope everyone can agree with. Megumi, Nobara , Panda , Inumaki all got zero character development. Geto got screwed over and while kenjaku is a great villain later on he was very basic, by the books evil when he was introduced.
The shibuya incident completely failed it's characters. The current arc and culling games do a much better job of giving side characters moments to reflect and have intimate character moments despite being so filled with action. Kashimo, higuruma, kusakabe, sukuna, yuta, yuji, gojo, even megumi despite having only 2 pages of screentime managed to use it as a great moment to show his current mental state. JJK fans really need to take off the rose tinted glasses and realize where the true qualities of the series lies.
As for the current fight against sukuna, it's great. It's really great in fact.
People actually wanting Yuta, Yuji, or Maki or Kashimo to be able to Finish Sukuna or be able to do critical damage to him without getting their asses beat have to be delusional. Also people keep saying that characters are dying left and right................ Like who? After Gojo there hasn't been a single confirmed death of a good guy, the closest thing is Higuruma being out of commision and Us not having a status update on him.
Also Sukuna has been taking a beating and using every single skill and ability at hand just to survive his clashes with yuta, yuji and Maki, his armour has been chipped away slowly but surely becuase of the tactics of the jujutsu sorceror's. Also Miguel's appearance answers the long standing question of what Yuta was doing in Africa and his contact with Miguel. Miguel is also someone who is confirmed to be pretty strong considering he could just get back after getting beat on by gojo for quite a bit. We finally got to see more of Geto's crew as well which has been a bit overdue, so NO Miguel isn't random.
Gege has given every character their due diligence and every small fight has added to the overrall goal of taking down sukuna. ( Except Kusukabe) The choreography, flow and general blow to blow action has been incredible so im personally super satisfied with the way gege has written this arc thus far.
Its good to see a creator who tells the truth jjk fans being eating good load of shit and garbage writing for a lot of time overall the story is mid at best its not good cring af its boring its good to see finally a fan of jjk admitting shit is ass

There is a slight chance for Miguel to survive for 3 to 5 chapters or maybe more because Sukuna has never met him before and maybe never fought someone like him before since he is from Africa and Sukuna fought sorcerers in Japan in his era so there is a very very small chance of him gaining an advantage or Miguel will surprise us because could use the black rope like he used on Gojo in the movie or he has a cursed technique and domain. Why do I think this could happen because we have never seen him at his full potential and all we have seen from him is him tanking the hits Gojo gave him in the movie. If Sukuna says "Oh, I have experienced your kind before" then we are finished.

If we take what gege said about jjk ending this year,it actually may make culling games the weakest arc so far.Multiple chapters have been dedicated to fighting sukuna and the others that you could say not very much character moments managed to shine through.I'm not gonna sit here and say none managed because we got some good ideas but they aren't fleshed out and explored as much as i would like them to be.This fight heavy plot structure will most probably effect the pacing of the show.Maybe some plot and character points may fade away to flesh out some other more interesting ones that existed before the culling games or vice versa.

Naruto had some many good moments that was actually amazing story telling, itachi vs sasuke and how that unfolded, kakashi vs obito and their history, sasuke vs naruto, naruto's parents backstory, whom since the beginning was a fundamental challenge to naruto's development, so many good shit

And Madara will forever be goated for how he caused most of the event that transpired in the story his end almost sours the story to the point that it makes Naruto almost unreadable. And what I mean by that is the pay for for us getting to the point where Naruto and Sasuke can get there payback for all the things Madara put them through is taken away because Kishimoto didn’t know how to take out Madara; for he felt that he was to powerful…

I'm just hoping that there'd be no hyping around Miguel. No character interviews talking about how awesome he is. Because all of that was just wasted with Kusakabe. This feels repetitive cause of the weekly release. In reality not a whole lot of chapters exist of Sukuna running the gauntlet with the main cast. Not only that but each fight has definitely been unique, each with their own gimmicks and the like. Not only that but the fight with Yuta and Yuji both set up multiple win conditions for Yuji and gave us some major plot development. And tbh, the fight betweeen Hakari and Uraume should def be off screen because seeing that fight would only slow down the story as Hakari and Uraume are not important enough characters to the plot to get most people interested.
Also I love Miguel… and I think the fact that we’re going to see what foreign sorcery does is really cool
He is not writing himself into a story it would be absolutely stupid to do that how could he actually do that after making such incredible awe-inspiring fights there's zero way that he would just forget how to write it's clearly just throwing us for a loop

Sure, this very much can be a Naruto situation of writing into a corner, but Gege is being absolutely intentional with his statements, because he's not confused as this is how he is moving his story and view of the audience and it's working. You got a whole new group of fans watching videos back and forth on the story to figure out what is going on and forming opinions all because of a fight and you think this video isn't proof of how many people want to have an opinion on this "popular" series. This guy is probably gonna have something to say later since he obviously hasn't dropped the series.
