I agree it is a very solid game and very smooth to play. Why oh why did it have to be set in the time period that it is!!! A little more theme or different setting would have been nice, but that's all I can really complain about. Very easy to teach to inexperienced gamers too who maybe haven't played many heavier games. They could grasp this pretty easily. Whether they do well or not is a different question :)
Where can I buy this Deluxe version? I just see Essen, and there's no way I can get there, and can't even begin to imagine how much shipping would cost.

Wish I could have swung the deluxe edition when it was on KS, but money was quite tight at the time. It does look good.

You can order a upgrade kit online from the original publishers. It's a little different from the tasty minstrel one, but still very nice.

No big screens in the delux edition? It's a good game but the simultaneous planning phase is stupid.
It looks great, but if you need all that shit to play a board game, then just do something else.
