- I present all models for sale in 1968. I received this gift from a friend from Kentucky. In Poland in the 1960s-1970s it was completely impossible to get it. Please note the prices in those days.
Feel free to subscribe to the channel - if you want to receive immediate notification of a new movie. I upload movies with Matchbox to youtube on on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Dzień dobry, mój drogi Paul. Świetny sposób na rozpoczęcie weekendu. Świetna prezentacja i wiele wspaniałych wspomnień z dzieciństwa. 😁👍🏼😁👍🏼 Dziękuję za podzielenie się, miłego weekendu dla ciebie i twojej rodziny i najlepsze pozdrowienia od Cuxhaven. Paul 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Good morning, my dear Paul. A great way to start the weekend. Great presentation and a whole lot of great childhood memories. 😁👍🏼😁👍🏼 Thank you for sharing, a nice weekend to you and your family and best regards from Cuxhaven. Paul 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Guten Morgen. Auch ich wünsche Paul allen Ihren Lieben ein schönes Wochenende zu Hause wie allen anderen. Beste Wünsche
I still have a Matchbox R1 and R3 roadway playmats packed away in he loft. Had them since 1972.
you are a lucky person. Best regards
Thanks for sharing the catalogue. Great to see the many I had when I was a child. I still have a lot of them .
Thank you very much
Had so many of these, and the Matchbox motorway set, which I won in a competition in 1971 with two cases of Matchbox cars. The Motorway used motor driven springs, & was more fun than a scalextric I reckoned. Having seen your videos and how well you can restore these cars, wish now I hadn't donated it all to a charity shop
thank you and best regards
I had the Motorway - I remember the springs made a hell of a racket. You could convert almost any Matchbox car to run on it by fixing a "drive pin" underneath to engage with the spring.
Wow the best castings ever thanks for sharing my friend! I'm so blessed to have had these as a kid ! I was 1 Haha
Thank you very much
I used to get a Matchbox car every year round about Bonfire night as I didn't like fireworks. Looking at the 1968 catalogue, I'm shouting out, "I had that one, and that, and that" everytime I saw a model I owned. Like your other viewers, I wish I hadn't given mine to my nephew's.
I also gave my cousin once and now I'm making up for the losses. Best wishes
Thank You Paul, very enjoyable video, a walk through history, stay safe 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻☮️
Hi matchbox guys. Do you already have face masks? No sewing machine needed. The mask can be sewn by hand from a paper towel or non-woven fabric. Instructions for me - welcome.
Thank you wery much
Thanks for sharing Paul😁
Thank you very much
Nice one. These catalogues are a treasure trove. The colourful artwork is superb too. 1968: the last year of Regular Wheels? Some of the colours in the catalog art are different from the models as sold. eg: the 58 DAF girder truck is gold, as sold was white. And the what would become the 47 DAF container truck has a blue container, as sold it was yellow. I have repainted a few models in catalogue colours. Adds a variation, if not "official".
It seems to me that the last year of production of regular Wheels was 69. Of course, you are right I have not encountered such color versions of the models as presented in the catalog. Best wishes
@@PaulRestorer Matchbox took their time to change over to the full range being Superfast. I have a 1971 catalogue of the 1/75 range. The 42 Iron Fairy crane, and 68 Combine Harvester still have Regular Wheels.
Cool. I have never seen this catalog. Best wishes
Lovely piece of matchbox history 😉
Thank you very much
The glory days of Matchbox. Personally, I prefer the original wheels to the Superfast counterparts.
Thank you very much
I think just about everyone does; Superfast wheels was the beginning of the end of Matchbox.
Great upload dear friend, take care your self please, have a blessed day!!!
Thank you vwery much
Nice condition that little booklet cool time warp video cheers KC Tassie
Thank you very much
Thanks for sharing this Paul....this was even more nostalgic for me than your restorations. Loved these catalogues as a kid...I've still got the 1968 catalogue but it isn't in a very good condition. Keep up the good work mate...love your videos. All the best and stay safe in these uncertain times 👍
Thank you very much. Take care too. Greetings from Poland

Thanks Paul, you brought me back to my child self.
Toys were real good and challenged a kids imagination.
I'm restoring some Corgis and I did a pair of Matchbox K6 Benz Binz Ambulances with the steering racks.
Tommy☘️😁
I am very happy and greetings
Cool catalog , Mike Espo..
Thank you very much Mike
nostalgic. As a child, I received Japanese catalogs from 1968 and 1969 at a nearby toy store.
Many matchboxes have been imported to Japan.
memories are the most important. Best wishes

I wonder if any of the build a roads are still around?
Yes they are Marty. I actually got one for Christmas last year. really cool.
@@johnnyvscustomsgaragetassie. that good to know they where fun to play with.
Any of the accessories are worth alot now. The garages go for $300 plus, if complete and boxed.
@@railtrolley wow
@@railtrolley can get them on line or creige list?
Good book Paul just looking which vehicles I have got to restore.
Thank you very much
Ach te ceny... W tamtych czasach najdroższe Ferrari, czyli model 365 GTB/4, zwany potocznie Daytona, kosztował...ok. 22000 $. Oczywiście chyba każda firma zabawkowa miała go w swojej ofercie, w dowolnej skali. Pozdrawiam.
Hallo Paul
Wow da hab es ja schon sehr schöne Modelle 😀👍🏼
Ich wünsche dir ein schönes Wochenende.
LG Michael
Vielen Dank
Lovely
Thank you very much
1968 the prices were very expensive.
On that the average income was in around 6/7 k per year.
And some in the UK were on a lot less.
Thank you very much
So many lovely boyhood memories brought back. Have to say though, when they started doing the Superfast wheels I started losing interest in Matchbox
Memories are the most important. I agree with you that matchbox in the 70s did too futuristic models which was not approved by the fans. Best wishes
Εξαιρετικο το καναλι σου Φιλε, Μπραβο!!!
Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ
Spoko film
Dzięki
Paul, I think you have the talent to replicate some gift sets. I would buy them...after the virus thing. 🍾🔮
great David, have a nice weekend
I have the same catalog! My mission is to have a Matchbox, Corgi store one day. So please research the early gift set boxes and restore the cars that match. 🔮
I'm slowly collecting photos of these gift sets and getting ready for it
Kciuk w górę ode mnie
Dziękuję bardzo
Cześć. Kciuk w górę ode mnie ☺️ 👍
dzięki
Is there a page where I can buy some restored cars? I am sure I have a box somewhere in the UK house - how best, if rediscovered, to consider restoring ?
The page is gone. However, if you are interested in something, I give you my email. Some models are double. Best wishes
