I'm not too much into weathering, but that's only because there are so many weathered rigs out there where the creator overexhagerated. This body weathering came out really good and you have shown it very well and comprehensible - thanks!
@@DirelectRC1 Question - If i paint the body a base color first then do this process what will happen ? will it ruin the body ? Or will it make it look like it is just Old & Weathered ? Thanks & Subscribed.
I have used this solution in my copper etching so i already have it in my workshop , ill give this a try , just starting out with the RC,s , thank you for the video & ya have a new subscriber .
Thanks for the sub! Subbed back. This method has worked pretty good for me. Its nice because you can do it multiple time until you get it to look how you want.
Haven't tried it on a lexan body yet...I would suggest trying it on a small piece of lexan before doing a whole body just to be sure. Thanks for watching!!
Yes i am aware of this. If i would have known how many people would have commented the same thing, i wouldn't have made this vid though...i didn't have another hard shell to demonstrate this on, so i used this one.
I didn't realize your from Ontario! Im going to try this on my tf2, looks like an easy cheap way to weather a body. I'm in Ontario also, check out my channel
Clever how you have made the aluminium body turn rusty.
Which part is aluminum?

@@thewolf3889 The body that was used in the vid has a few coats of grey on it. It should not effect the paint as long as it is already cured.
Ah yes, so thats how it's done! Fantastic how to vid there buddy. The end result looks really great too.
Sweet vid bro (-:

Aloha sir.
what kind of spray is that in German? I can't find this.
please help me.
best regards from Germany.
1 Teil weißer Essig
2 Teile Wasserstoffperoxid
Getan durch Google Übersetzer, meine Entschuldigung, wenn es nicht richtig ist
Can you translate solution into English. Please
What's in the bottle?
Peroxyacetic acid. Made it myself. Mixture in the video description.
@@DirelectRC1 Great, thank's for the answer. I'm gonna try it out :)
Good technique but it doesn't fit for a D90. Only the bulkhead and door skins are steel. The rest is burmabrite so won't rust.
Yup. I'm aware. Just showing the technique :)
Nice work... but land rover is made on aluminium.
Thanks! I know that it wouldn't rust, but this was the only body i had to demonstrate on.
You do know Land Rovers are made of aluminium and the body doesn't rust, the bullhead will and the door hinges always show a run of rust staining.

Wircklich Klasse-Sau Gut .

Cool stuff man! Thanks for the comment. This method works pretty good. Done it on a few bodies now with some nice results. Threw you a sub :)
Sorry, this is not weathering, go see Jose de Brito modeling and you see what i mean
Thank you sir
What color fir this stock body?
This was a while ago. Pretty sure it was white when I put it together.
