    Wow that air brushing is great. When I get to 1k subs and can build my rc work shop in the spare room I am going to invest in one. Made a deal with my self, when 1k subs comes I can turn the room into a dedicated studio for my rc videos and such. Your work is amazing. Hope you grow. You do amazing videos. Top notch stuff.

      How do you keep the hairspray from letting the paint come off if it gets scratched an wet bro!

      @TandemCTelevision  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sealed with either matte or gloss clear coats. Also it takes some work and a good bit of soak time to get the paint to chip prior to sealing.

    You must have been a Model Railroader at some point...
    I learned these techniques about 25 years ago. Still awesome and effective!
    It didn't occur to me to use these methods on my Rig too!! 😊
    The great thing about weathering is, the more layers, even messed up ones, just makes it look better!!
    Thanks! This helped me. 👍

      43 years of model making and a lot of messed up paint jobs has been my education. lol

      I was pretty much the same... Starting with plastic Model Kits about 1973 (done BADLY).
      Then many years of reading articles, watching TV shows then Videos, and practice, practice, practice!! 😋
      By now I'm almost good!! 😆 lol

    Hello… can i use tamiya paints for regular lexan oil base for r/c bodies?

  • @TommyMartinMSRRC

    I use the salt be for but not with the clear look good

    • @TandemCTelevision
      @TandemCTelevision  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the salt technique works well for a weathered looking clear coat. I like to use the control of the hairspray technique for body colors.

      @@TandemCTelevision Yep i have used the salt with paint. but never with clear coat or the the hairspray before. I'm planning doing a painting video on my SCX24 body and you just give me a idea on a paint scheme for it. Thanks for the tip and keep up the great work bud. You have to check them out.
