Gelli printing with leaves | Experimenting at play

- Today is all experimentation. Gelli plate printing with leaves from the garden. I just picked some random leaves that I thought might create an interesting shape. And I'm just playing. Play is important to learning what you like and don't like and helps your art grow.
When making collage papers even the fails can create great texture as a background within a collage. I limited my colors until the last print to mostly blues, greens and yellow.

The Gelli plate really lends itself to printing leaves doesn't it? I love using ferns as you can see the tiny dots on the underside of the leaf so clearly.
Yes. I didn't have access to thinner leaves that have lots of veining. I think they would have worked better.
