All treatment guidelines are same for marasmus and kwashiorkor ( with edema) except that
Instead of giving 130 ml/kg/d of F75, give 100 ml/kg/d if the child has severe oedema.
Means 80%of total daily requirement.

If mild to moderate hypokalemia ( serum potassium between 2.5-3.5 mEq/Lt) and patient is able to take orally then syp potchlor should be started.

Ma, for mild dehydration in SAM, the ORS that is given is it the WHO ORS or ReSoMal that is given
Prefer Resomal solution

We add 90 ml milk, 7.5 gm sugar, 2 ml vegetable oil then add water to make it upto 100 ml

Diluted F-100 formula by adding 35 ml water to 100 ml F-100 ( will become 135 ml) can be given to less than 6 months infant

It's not available seperately, only as a combination of multivitamins and minerals syrups.

In first 2 days of admision - F-75 formula 11ml /kg every 2 hourly
On 3-5th days- F-75 formula 16 ml /kg every 3 hourly
On 6-7th day-F-75 formula 22 ml /kg every 4 hourly
Then shift to F100 formula of same amount. Slowly increase 10 ml of F100 daily upto Maximum 200 ml/kg/ day.
