    I love that place and I never been there yet… Here I am with an injured ankle watching beautiful trails and I feel I want to cry because I can’t hike yet… but thanks for making this video, I have something to look forward too. ❤

    When did you hike this? Before sourdough fire? Absolutely gorgeous! Added to my list of trail to hike. Thank you for sharing!

      Thank you! Highly worth the climb.
      Yes I hiked this a few weeks before the fire, this will probably be regularly impacted by smoke from Sourdough for the rest of the season sadly.

    I live in BC, Canada but the North Cascades isn't too far away, so I'd love to go there.

    If you only had one day for an epic hike, would you choose Trappers Peak or Cascade Pass to Sahale Arm?

  • @Thornberry2398

    Are you able to camp at the top? It looks like there’s some good space up there!

    • @wanderingwashington
      @wanderingwashington  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is within the bounds of the national park, thus all camping requires a permit, and in this area must take place in designated campsites. There is backcountry camping at Thornton lakes which looks amazing

    What's the condition of gravel road like to get in to the trailhead? Can I do it in my Honda hybrid with low clearance?

    • @wanderingwashington
      @wanderingwashington  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I made it up fine in my sedan. It's a rough road but passable, there are turns with loose gravel with the potential to lose traction on the way up. I would say it's good, but if you've never driven on any forest gravel roads before I wouldn't recommend it to a first-timer. No major potholes or anything, but there are some rocks and ruts to look out for that would scrape(but they are avoidable so long as you pay attention)
      Use a lower gear going back down.
