Has to be my favorite episode of the whole series. Every bit of it is gold. Aunt Gladys's funeral... Homer's expired sandwich... the entire Duff Gardens storyline... the Erotic Adventure's of Hercules... PURE FIRE.
They didn't. The water was probably so contaminated with discarded drugs from park patrons and park workers, as well as the usual chemicals needed to keep the water clean (or maybe the water was never cleaned at all) that anyone who drinks it will experience an LSD-like trip.
I like to think it’s runoff from the brewery. Grains are used in the production of beer, and there’s a hallucinogenic fungi called ergot (best known for possibly causing the Salem witch incident) that grows in grain when it goes bad. Lisa here is exhibiting several symptoms of ergot poisoning. Yeast is also a fungus, and is also used in the production of beer.
And before people worried about imaginary microaggressions and having safe spaces and being triggered and that having accents done by a person who was white wasn't absolutely forbidden....

I remember this Simpsons episode really well. Lisa drinks the water 💦 but it turns out that water is actually made out of alcohol and Lisa becomes mad and drunk. "I Am The Lizard Queen!", "Thank you, Doctor." and "Oh I'm not a doctor." are probably ones of the best memorable quotes in the Simpsons of all time. This is one of my favourite Simpsons episodes of all time as well. I'd say older episodes of The Simpsons like from the 90s and the early 2000s are way better than the newer ones. The newer ones are absolute shite so I don't find them entertaining anymore.

I'd say older episodes of The Simpsons like from the 90s and the early 2000s are way better than the newer ones. The newer ones are absolute shite so I don't find them entertaining anymore.

Lisa really messed up after drinking that LSD water. This still one of my faves, these old Simpsons eps are still awesome, I like Selma in this one.
