30 years working in casinos and am now Director of Surveillance. Yes, errors void all payouts. I have seen it many times. One was a machine that had a top payout of $20,000, but said the lady won a million. She was paid the 20,000. I have also seen voids that the player received nothing at all. Also our casino absolutely puts slots with the highest hold percentage closer to entrances and exits. Also, machines with fancy carousels like Star Wars or others that have a lot of bling usually have higher hold percentages. The hold percentage is how much the casino keeps per dollar wagered. Some machines are as low as a five percent hold, while others are closer to ten..
Good stuff in here - Well said VegasMatt and Crew - One slight clarification: The result of free spin bonus rounds are not pre-determined. There is a separate RNG stop for each spin during the free games bonus.
@@Jawsfan6 Yes, it's true for pretty much all free game bonuses. I can't think of any where it's pre-determined. Not related, but a fun fact, the "virtual reels" often change in free games bonuses - meaning, they aren't the same reels that are in the main game. But, it's still and RNG picking from those for each spin.
@@catdonese The way I understood you to tell is that if, after selection you were shown the results had you picked the other choices then it wasn't predetermined. I once saw a young guy hit a machine for 120k on a progressive. I lived near this very nice casino in Summerlin. The weird thing he didn’t go crazy no emotion I thought that was strange. Then early one morning I went to the spa and noticed the young guy was walking in the spa with one of the owners. Eye opening to say the least.
I worked at a casino for years......we DID have machines set to pay higher near where people walked . I don't know if all casinos do that, but we did that. Most machines can be set to the payout up to 99%. The average is about 89% to the 90's %.
Very true I played for 10 bucks on a high limit machine my friend was playing 30.00 bets we both hit she won 1200.00 I won 2200.00, One definitely set higher😮😮😮😮😮
Video poker definitely has better odds than any random progressive slot like Huff or Buffalo, but that's also why many casinos give you fewer comp points based on poker.
There is a video that was recently released where someone tracked slot payouts on the major strip casino resorts and they all were in sync with each other on their payout percentage swings. Which proves they are changing the payouts en mass. Every two months or so they would increase the payout for a few days than dramatically drop down to the bare legal minimum
Do you know how a slot machine works. If you set it to payout 90%, that balance would only be reached after at least 10 million spins. If they were to reset their machines ever two months, then some machines would be way in the red...aka paid out more than they took in. When you install or reset a machine, the machines is highly unstable. There is absolutely no way to guarantee or influence them to be in profit. The machines are set to make them money. They don/t need to cheat or hack. They leave it & it will make them big money. Further to that, anytime they want to do this, they would need to bring out a gaming control officer to give them the keys, remove the security tape, they have to supervise the changes, then re-seal the machine. Slot techs, supervisors have to be there also & logs have to be recorded. The reason a lot of these big casinos have similar revenue streams is they all have the same types of games with similar payback rates & similar amounts of foot traffic. Imagine 10 million spins on that machine at an RTP of 90%. If they own the machine, they take all that 10% in, if they share it, on a lease deal, they take in 5%. Every machine makes the casino money. They can't hack the slots, nor do they need to.
It is a myth .. .the game is already in the houses favor. They don't need to jack things around. The mathematical probability on how the games payout is very accurate over time. The casinos make their money by getting people in to play
The giant roulette wheel is a good example, but there would be 2,000,000 outcomes, and one of them is the mega win, and 1,000,000 are blanks, etc. Just a lot more chances of low or no wins than the big win.
My favorite slot machines are the 3 by 5 games. Once won $600 on a $1 bet in wizard if oz that had flying monkey & emerald city bonuses. Also like the monopoly space game, quick hit jackpot games, & sex and the city slots with the different bonuses for characters.
I always pictured a flat square plate ( not a dinner plate) On that plate are many, many, micro chips, each programmed to give out different combinations of spins. The Casino can remove the plate, and pop in another plate, with different combinations of plays. The micro chips are more losers than winners. I also feel the Grand might never be on any combinations of some plates. You could play a billion dollars and never get the Grand because that exact combination isn't even able to play. I feel it is programmed on each plate that is popped in or out of said slot machine. That is why its extremely hard for a spin to land on the Grand on that machine. It isn't Random number as they say. The winnings are or not programmed to give out specific winnings. No matter how many times you pay for a spin on the slot machines. The spins are programmed to give out what it spins on. Or else Grands could spin 4 times in a row . But its not programmed to. Just like 4 times in a row could be losing spins. Many, many are. This is just MY take on slot machines.
I think the losing story line is much more enjoyable. There's authenticity in it and it matches the normal casino experience. Gambling feels like you're swimming against a current that's a little too fast for you. So you bring an amount that's meaningless and find the joy in slowly losing it. This is only slightly fun for me, so I might partake once a year with a very small amount of money. I don't know how gamblers enjoy it more often.

the casino and their member card, i won alot more and i mean alot more when my status was single diamond and double diamond, now my status is elite on my card and my winnings has vanished .
One thing Matt got wrong, mostly because he is such a high level player. If youre gambling for comp points, play low volatility slots. Most programs give twice the points for the same coin in for slots vs VP. Also, VP payout on the strip is awful, even with perfect play. PLUS, players who play slots appear to be more valuable to the house than VP players. I started running a couple hundred bucks through Double Diamond and the like and my comps went from almost nothing to free rooms at least once a month. And my total budget for a 3 day weekend trip is only about $1200 all-in.
Such an impressive amount of disinformation. First: the strip has plenty of 99% payback video poker. You can easily google this. Second, if you’re losing 8% of your coin in playing slots as opposed to 1% playing video poker because slots comps at 2x the rate (which is true), you’re the living embodiment of gamblers being terrible at math.
They don’t believe a slot malfunction can happen, until it might happen to them. 🤣. Getting your Merch in the El Cortez Casino shop is a big deal. I don’t see other Gamblers getting that. Brian Christopher has the Plaza slot machine, but I haven’t seen his merch at the casino.
Seem the machines only malfunction when the player wins.... have you ever heard of a casino refunding money to a player that lost because the machine "malfunctioned"?
Everything you see visually on a slot machine is there purely for your visual entertainment. In other words, the balloons getting larger or the pots getting fuller have absolutely no bearing or input as to the actual chance of a win. These visuals are there for your eyes only. As far as the RNG (Random Number Generator) is concerned, just remember that you're playing against a computer. Need I say more?
I watch them regularly for entertainment- but the last minute of your interview is the most important- they dont really know the answers to questions you ask. Their take on the setting for % of wins is misleading. Some game are absolutely set (albeit minuscule) to pay less than others. But there are calculated differences between casinos and each slot.
It does make me wonder how much regulation these machines have. There’s obvious financial incentive to restrict payouts, so I would be impressed if money hadn’t tainted the regulatory boards for this.
They don't need to do it the RTP takes care of everything.. the machines are weighted Wich means doesn't matter how much you play or win the house will win more even paying out the grand jackpots in a weekly basis.. and the huge jackpots are actually set and payout by the manufacturer not the casino

Video poker is way more entertaining than regular slots. Sit at the bar, get comped drinks, and have something to keep you entertained. We always do that in our hotel bar and get to know the bartender and by the end of the trip we spend 20$ and leave wasted.
Live poker games are the best game. Youre not playing the house. They get a rake per hand. Just learn how to play poker. behind that is blackjack. But get too good.and they wont let you play. Poker is best.
How can the standard payout on a slot machine be calculated to be 85-95% if the slot machine wins are created by a random generator? If they were truly random, then you couldn't calculate that the house would make a 5-15% profit on their machines. You would have to program or set the machine for that to be predictable.
It’s just that simple. Don’t gamble. These martians 👽 don’t care about the value of money….., zero. They never get tired of losing. There main objective is to get some sort of win of any kind . But never want to come to remember the losses. They will NEVER recoup the money they lost
@ You must be in La La Land like them if you think they can actually cover the beatings they take? Dump millions into a slot machine to see super expensive cartoons ?
I have to disagree with you. They do set the machines. Some days they tighten some days they pay out more so I just think they just or you just saying something. Don't discredit you from the casinos or something
Not true my friend, it is very involved to reset the payback % on slots and it is not needed. The RTP takes millions of spins to reach that level and it does not make sense for a casino to do that. It already has a house edge... set and forget is all that is needed. If a payback % is changed it is a requirement to have gaming commission on site and is a pretty lengthy process.
What you are describing is randomness and variance. That is not the same as casinos loosening or tightening machines. They simply don't do that (they don't need to).
Online, NG is given that money to play He also is contracted to certain casinos, and some m, not all, but some of his videos are sponsored by and the budget is provided by the casino And he doesn’t necessarily get to keep those big wins
Just remember that all these slot machine videos has a huge subliminal message here. And that is to influence you into thinking that there are ways to make easy fast money by playing these machines. The minute you set foot in the casino you are in their traps and everything in that place is designed to lure you in and to relieve you of all your money. I've seen it destroy too many lives and families Including people committed suicide from having the casino wreck their lives.
I know that they say you don’t have better odds the first time you play. Or you don’t have better odds on your birthday. But I know tons of people who have won loads of money (including me) the first time they play. And I have won a lot of money on my birthday

They all have the exact same odds
They do not. Open a slot machine. You can literally set it up
@TexTheMaster yes but in a venue, they are all set at the same odds in favour of the house
Who listens to a guy that isn’t able to do simple math.
Anyone else rub the screen of the slot machine for good luck lmaoo
Not since the last time I rubbed the screen and felt dried up who-knows-what on it.
The best games are the ones you understand how to play.. No?
There isn't any truth near the ends etc
Hey everyone, Alemio’s presale process has been smooth, and their bonuses are a nice incentive.
MY WIFE WON $17,220.00 ON A .50 GET AT THE GOLDEN NUGGET.
Give your money to me and I’ll tell you if you won or not
How can the standard payout on a slot machine be calculated to be 85-95% if the slot machine wins are created by a random generator? If they were truly random, then you couldn't calculate that the house would make a 5-15% profit on their machines. You would have to program or set the machine for that to be predictable.
It’s all luck period right place right time. End machines and ones played a lot seem to hit the best.
Really? Discussing the best slot machines? How ignorant do you have to be to gamble in the slot machine zone?
It’s just that simple. Don’t gamble. These martians 👽 don’t care about the value of money….., zero. They never get tired of losing. There main objective is to get some sort of win of any kind . But never want to come to remember the losses. They will NEVER recoup the money they lost
They make tons of money filming themselves gambling. Only way to make money gambling
@ You must be in La La Land like them if you think they can actually cover the beatings they take? Dump millions into a slot machine to see super expensive cartoons ?
@@jeffmccullough7341 Yeah much more than the amount they loss.
The best odds are ALWAYS in the high limit room. But Baccarat and BJ are nearly 50/50
Computer Random Numbers
I have to disagree with you. They do set the machines. Some days they tighten some days they pay out more so I just think they just or you just saying something. Don't discredit you from the casinos or something
Not true my friend, it is very involved to reset the payback % on slots and it is not needed. The RTP takes millions of spins to reach that level and it does not make sense for a casino to do that. It already has a house edge... set and forget is all that is needed. If a payback % is changed it is a requirement to have gaming commission on site and is a pretty lengthy process.
... "just" (x3) ... "something" (x2)
What you are describing is randomness and variance. That is not the same as casinos loosening or tightening machines. They simply don't do that (they don't need to).
Folks, Alemio’s focus on scalable DeFi solutions caught my attention. Got in today to see how it evolves.
do you really believe that RNG can be set to a certain payback percentage and still call it random ??
Yes, that's exactly how it works.
Sorry, i disagree with VM. The first person to show REAL wins and losses was NAREK, aka NG Slot.
Online, NG is given that money to play
He also is contracted to certain casinos, and some m, not all, but some of his videos are sponsored by and the budget is provided by the casino
And he doesn’t necessarily get to keep those big wins
@@authentik2008wow I didn’t know that …
Just remember that all these slot machine videos has a huge subliminal message here.
And that is to influence you into thinking that there are ways to make easy fast money by playing these machines.
The minute you set foot in the casino you are in their traps and everything in that place is designed to lure you in and to relieve you of all your money.
I've seen it destroy too many lives and families
Including people committed suicide from having the casino wreck their lives.
I know that they say you don’t have better odds the first time you play. Or you don’t have better odds on your birthday. But I know tons of people who have won loads of money (including me) the first time they play. And I have won a lot of money on my birthday
You're kidding... right?
They talk like they’re on the side of the casino… wild
I call BS on El Cortez knowing any numbers. Theyre in the back banging rocks together hoping people come in. Thats why they embrace influencers like they do.
These two guys are stooges for the casinos, don't give them any more oxygen
They are all carnival games learn how to sports bet or play poker or up your hold em game…,slots are for fun and are hilariously dumb +ev long and short term,.
mind you these are people that get paid from Casinos... so don't listen to a word they say
They basically said don't gamble. DIAF bot. Down vote this, please.
Vegas Matt is entertaining, but his remarks are off often and he doesn't have knowledge or facts backing his statements.. Pay backs on machines can vary and be changed or order/built with different paybacks
Vegas Matt is a nice guy, and he stumbled onto this gig...but they do have very limited knowledge of the actual mechanics of how slots work.
They should also tac on another charge for being in AMERICA... 🇺🇸
And not knowing how to speak ENGLISH...
You always lose in the long run. Dont kid yourself.
Two schills for the casinos.
