- We developed this intake for the 5.7L HEMI engine found in the Durango R/T and the Jeep Grand Cherokee. If you're looking for more horsepower, you're in the right place!

Good video, thanks. I appreciate the format and explanations as well as informational content.
Glad it was helpful!
Awesome thanks for the clear cut compare!
Glad to see parts locally here in VA. Definitely gonna check out one of these for my '14 R/T.
nice gains
Great video, have your catch can on my trx. Will be ordering this kit for my 21 Durango.... I will be also ordering a Durango Hahaha. This will arrive first!
Sound just about right
I need this done to my durango.
Great product--what about 2021 Durango models?
Excellent
To pull more power: Would you suggest long tube headers and a pcm tune?
Damn this intake with a diablo tune on my 14' Gemi Durango would gain around 30 hp. That's a decent bump for a tune and a new intake
Nice, been waiting for these since last summer. Would the plate cover for the newer models come or separate purchase?
It will be included in the kit
So I just received my JLT for the Durango 5.7 and it needs 2 modifications. 1 the power steering reservoir bottle is in the way where u connect the driver 13mm bolt and there's a pic at the bottom not allowing new air box to sit in position. Your email return not in service.
One question. What part number is the right for my dodge Durango rt 2020 cold intek ?
I wounder what my K.N air intake gain is on my stock 06 charger rt..my but dino is telling me I gain about 5 to 8 more power
Any issues with the box cover And the newer R/T hoods with the scoops and vents?
Rain guard for the vent is included in the kit
I own a 2012 Dodge Durango RT which I know is all wheel drive I’m assuming the model you did your test with is all wheel drive as well how are you able to disassemble the front drive so the front wheels didn’t spin
Ran in 2 wheel drive
You can pull a fuse.. make from awd to 2 wheel drive
So when you convert your wheel horsepower it comes out that you're making a little over 400 hp at the crank. Is that accurate?
No, the only way to know engine HP is on an engine dyno
When would this be available for purchase? It’s not listed online
This one have 8 speed auto?
What did you guys do to run it rear wheel drive only?
Keep it in 2wd
Does this require an aftermarket tune as well? (like from a Diablo or ACT unit) or is it literally a bolt-on and you are good to go?
Exactly as shown, no tune required
Would like to see what all comes in the kit
All shown in this very video
@@JLTPERFORMANCE the piece for the heat vent was not
@@sbeast1216 heat vent? There is a link to the product page in the description with all info and install instructions. If you have any questions let us know.
Do you have a intake available for the 21 durango 5.7? Thanks
Best to call or email directly
I need one for my 22 Durango Rt. Where can I find one?
I want one too. Any luck?
@@Alwaysbeclosing1774 sadly no
Should be the same as the 2020/2021 model as the Durango is the same. I called myself for the 2021 Grand Cherokee as their website hadn't been updated and there was confusion on the newer generation being sold at the same year as the previous generation WK2s.
No tuning required?
Correct
I thought they were all wheel drive why front tires aren’t spinning
Pulled a fuse
Some are RWD. Mostly down south where it rarely snows.
Didnt know it was possible to run a Durango rt in rwd
It's 4wd not AWD
@@JLTPERFORMANCE not according to dodge. Or anyone else. The RTs came as either RWD, or AWD. You can do the "Fuse trick" for the AWD to be RWD. But the Durango is not a 4wd unit. Just an FYI.
@@crxh2dvtec You see it running in rear wheel drive ;)
@@JLTPERFORMANCE yes. I am not sure how pertinent that response is. I was clarifying the 4wd vs AWD comment. I am fully aware they also come RWD, and that this one is operating in rwd. Haha!
I muted the "muzic"... sheesh.
Wont feel that in a heavy truck, been there done it, waste of money for tiny increase
CAI lays the ground work for a better exhaust. I'm super glad I did an intake and exhaust on my 5.7 durango, definitely noticed a difference in power and throttle response and felt it was worth every penny for a better performing, healthier engine. And I get better MPG's highway cruising too.
2017 or 2018?
17... as it doesnt have the new front fascia which was done in 18
@@MattySRT I have a 16, would these numbers apply and is this intake an option?
@@michaelseneca7125 yes it’s the same car
hood open will majorly benefit this open top design. the stock box takes air from lower down so gains no benefit. im slightly sceptical about the rational for keeping the hood open. i bet on the street you see higher intake temps with the aftermarket setup.
Exactly. Heat soak. Otherwise why not do both tests hood down as well?
Make with the hp runs allready and forget the tech temp info..
Huh?
@@JLTPERFORMANCE i was watching more to see the hp and tq in real time than the temperature differences thats all i meant. Good info tho. Are u gonna do an exhaust video?
We like educate the customer on how we get the gains we do so they have a better understanding of how this works. Most companies make a claim without backing it up. No plans on exhaust, just our products
this guy gets bent over by snake oil salesmen, because he wants to see the pretty graphs without explanation. haha
So now it’s pushing 327hp? The v8 Durango is already 350 hp
That actually start off 360 hp so why it’s down to 327hp ???
HP ratings are at the crank, not rear wheels.
Realistically it made no difference. I discovered years ago a stock air intake is usually the best choice. Does anybody really think the engineers at dodge didn't think this stuff through.
I mean, it quite literally made a difference... And 10+ hp for a simple intake set-up isnt little.
Also, very often the engineering will have an ideal option, but the administration will require a completely different option, which comes with compromise. Stock is rarely best.
@@crxh2dvtec you could lose the same ten running a few more…… 10hp, if it really did it, ain’t shit
@@crxh2dvtec well said it stock was best there'd be no aftermarket.
not bad but not the best, impressive for a almost 20 year old engine
