First, The Rooki needs more love as it’s so underrated. Second: u have to be like blind as a bat to not see the chemistry they share. They from the start have this link that can’t be ignored. Yes he pushes her to be her best as he knows that she can be the best.

This is the first police tv series that i really enjoyed watching after THE MENTALIST, my new favorite character after Patrick Jane...Tim Bradford and Lucy Chen.
I love this show so much I haven’t stopped watching it in 3 days after school is all done of course but I was still able to watch ten episodes everyday
I'd pray for a T.O. like Bradford if I were a Boot. As they say in the Fire Department "You can't train enough for a job that can kill you." He's a walking reality check, and you either understand he's training you this way because he cares about wether *you* care enough about the job to learn how to do it the right way or you're getting washed out. If you do understand and give him the effort he demands, he'll protect you like a son or a daughter. Eric Winter and Melissa O'Neil just have that special chemistry.
To add, only officer Chen on this show wears the uniform how a REAL LAPD officer would (female) if you all noticed. She looks blocky and frumpy, betraying her real figure. The other female officers on this show wear their 'custom tailored' uniforms ALA Hollyweird..
