The car crusher was made to be interactive from day one, the animations are already in the game files we just didn’t have time for the programming to implement it before release. Breaks my heart seeing people try to press the button when the animations are already there waiting to be used 💔 lol. Expect the car crusher to be working in a future patch :)

Hey Kevin! My question was going to be if it was possible to patch in the crusher animation in and I'm glad to hear the answer is yes :) That shinny red button is just begging to be pressed! I'll make sure and come back to this area in my playthrough when it has been patched to let everyone see the animation. How ironic that even the cut content had cut content xD P.S. Great job on the models for the Salvage Yard, they look very retro, it must have been fun working with a very low poly budget.

I’m used to modeling in much higher polycount so it was definitely a challenge at first gutting my high detail models down into low poly but it was all very fun once I got used to it. You may notice Marco has a new revolver and even revolver sounds Tim made instead of a Deagle. Not sure anyone noticed that yet :P That revolver was really fun to make too

I was the one (or maybe one of the ones) to suggest going to some of the fives on daytime but I missed that secret at 20:17 ! I'm quite ahead in my game but always watch back your clips to see if I missed something. :) I just hope it'll be still accessible in night time. I did the eclipser since but haven't returned here yet. Also want to say that this was one of my fave games back in '99. I expected the remaster to be a nice nostalgia romp, but Nightdive put this on my current top ten list of ever. And I do play modern games, not a "retro guy". I even stopped playing Cyberpunk 2077 to finish this one first.
That distance out of the cage is something you don't even have to jump from that first dark soul. Often just walking out he will reach and grab the ledge but jumping you can hit your head and it causes a miss. There are few open areas outside in the jail level and Jacks level there is no outside that I recall, or if it is it is minor. Milton's level you can only get so far as it requires underwater and his underwater ability as Mike Leroi is very short but it looked different day and night at the start
I also want to mention you said something about being able to press the levers in the junkyard to be able to crush the car you actually can if you press the action button, the machine goes down and crutches the cars. I’m not sure if it wasn’t available in your version of the game oryou just weren’t aware of the action button, on PlayStation, the triangle button is the action button

Hey Blade, the remaster is a lot harder than the original so I am dying plenty too! Wait until the Blade Runner Remaster, I plan to be all over that with a full playthrough too but I guess you will want to experience that one for yourself :)
@@PP7Silenced If the Blade Runner remaster launch is anything like Shadow Man and Turok you won't be able to play it on console at launch. NightDive release the PC version first and then port it.
@@PP7Silenced it makes sense to release it that way because it gives them a few months to fix the bugs and then the console version is much more robust. I will probably buy the console version of Shadow Man and Blade Runner as well as having them on PC. It will be interesting playing Blade Runner with a controller xD

Okay on the Playstation version you can use the car crushers by pressing triangle which is to do an action, not sure what it is on PC, but I just used both car crushers.
One of my all time favourite games. I was disappointed with the badly explained early footage and commentary, your review has changed that. I hope this excellent review gets more views from die hard fans. I can’t wait for the console port and well done for the hard work to the devs for treating this wonderful game with the respect it deserves.When they finish the valiant retro please consider a remaster of the darkness.
If your interested if you press the title key next to 1 on your keypad you can bring up the console and use the command freecam to look around the map at area's you where never meant to see
Are there more then 2 helicopters in the prison level? if not i think the *no fly zone* achievement for steam might be glitched. love the music in that salvage yard level :)
I know I’m pretty late to this and you probably already know, but for anybody that doesn’t know you can actually get the weapon Tête de Mort back in your sixth play through you missed that weapon completely. I’m surprised you didn’t grab it. You literally walked by it, maybe it’s not in the early bills because I don’t think I even saw it on the pedestal when you went in there, but in the full release that weapon is on the pedestal, in the same room with the cross and glass window where you can look down into the area, you have to enter before fighting that boss
I’m pretty sure to get a Secret/Cheat to activate, you have to turn it on and then use the bear to warp levels. I think once you warp and the level resets, you should see the change.
@@JMMREVIEW The Area 51 cheat didn't work for me either and the music it brings is super obnoxious. Glad I acquired the first person mode cheat, though, started a new game immediately after getting it so I could use it from the start. Big head mode is also great and the only way to fly

@@charoleawood It's called being a completionist. A lot of people care about that stuff. Achievements are like little trophies an athlete might put up on their shelf. People take pride in them because they can be pretty difficult to get. No clipping through the whole game though kind of beats the entire purpose of it. That kind of stuff is better saved for after beating everything and you want to just fuck around and see what oddities the devs left outside of the map, like the debug shotgun under the village in RE4.

After all, what's the difference between discovering the location yourself using freecam and asking where it is from other commenters on youtube? It's possible to use freecam, discover the location of an object, close out the game and Steam without saving and then reload it and you'll gather the object and your achievement. If it is indeed the 666th cadeau. Otherwise you've got more work ahead of you for that useless shelf trophy which you never received back in the day anyhow for doing these mindless fetch tasks, it's like receiving a trophy for having the worst case of OCD --- like, bravo! I'd rather use those hours hunting for cadeaux to explore my backlog of games or else to start a new game of Shadow Man and just enjoy going through the game again.

If you collect all of the souls and cadeaux then you can get the newly introduced light soul, which makes your gun always fully charged.

Nice one! By the way you can duck (crouch) with the C button. So it's easier to avoid the collision with the cages.

You can press the button too and flatten a car. They may have added that after cos it works now
