You are right to not collect every cadaeux. These videos are top notch. Best around imo for when you're stuck. I stopped playing for about 6 months and it was hard to remember what the hell i had to do. Your videos have got me back on track and loving the hell out this game. I’m loving the remaster💗 you can get lost in this game because it’s so wide open and I have a tendency to get ahead of myself. Your play throughs help enormously. In original game I remember I had to purchase so many storage cards to play game. It was so annoying! Glad I can save at anytime 🤣

It's pretty much just one big maze and when you add back tracking it gets even more confusing! It might take me a while to upload each episode I have a pretty busy work schedule and a young family.
In the playstation 1 version, you needed Jack's Journal. In it are some pretty awesome designs of the mechanics within the Asylum, including the 'failsafe shutdown' combonations for the pistons. You had to turn the pressure gauges up or down in a particular order. It made it much more fun than just 'overloading' them all. 😂 One change i don't agree with.
how did you get the a dark soul behind the cross or coffin doors in asylum experimentation rooms i have other 3 souls but can't get one behind the coffin or cross doors

These videos are the perfect length and done exactly right. We get everything sign posted and directed through the game. All the extra collecting and exploring we can do at our leisure should we choose. It would be like pulling teeth tryna follow along to every collectable ect. Wouldnt make sense.

Shadow man is awesome I was 19 when I first played it, my so called mate at the time I was flatting with when he left he stole this game from me so I never was able to finish it, I was so ruddy angry too, but I have alot of good and bad memories tied to this game, there's also a few soul reaver mechanics too I've noticed I can't wait to buy this for my switch and ps5, unsure if it's going to be on PS4 but I most def will be buying this again, I think they said it'll be released on the 13th for switch, could be sooner for other consoles, be curious to see the trophy list they'll add to it, so far I've watched all your vids on shadow man and I love your information and commentary, thanks man this is the 2nd thing I've watched in 2022, first thing I watched in 2022 was the complete history of legacy of Kain and that was an awesome watch, those two titles are quite dear to me, anyway I'm ranting, but see ya later and thanks again for what your doing 👍
I hope you have nothing but good memories when you do play the remaster, I know I do! I'm 99% sure it will be on the PS4. It's funny to me how often Soul Reaver comes up when people are talking about, I have never played it but they must be similar considering how often it comes up!
@@JMMREVIEW you've never played it, oooh even if you play no other, soul reaver 1 + 2 are phenomenal some time in your own time, play it for yourself, you won't have your mind blown, your soul will be rocked to its core, it's story transcends any other story you know, its incredibly deep and is better than most story's even to this day, you won't be disappointed, it is why every legacy of Kain fan is screaming and clamouring for another be it sequel or remake, truth be told only thing that needs changing is a tidy up of the controls and that beautiful unreal 5 graphics game engine to alter anything else it would be heresy
13:37 from this position you can jump on the rail and, while keeping your speed, jump again on the cage to get to the dark soul. I did it this way. Similar to the secret in the temple of fire where I think this is the only way to do it.
14:27 you can jump on the rope in a way that the cage is behind you and going in the same direction, you climb faster so that way it wont knock you down
Hi, does anyone know where the fifth retractor is? I've got 4 from experiment rooms, cageways, playrooms and fog undercity but I just can't find the last one been running round for ages looking.
Then the 5th and new location for it is in LavaDucts or level 7 of Deadside. It is where you have the platform up and there should be spinning blades once you're up there. But instead of going through, look to your right... right before you are about to go through the spinning blades for a big hole.

Hello, I am watching with interest your passage of this game. Can I offer you an idea? In this location, you can collect all the dark souls without being able to walk on the lava. After the train, you entered a room that has lava in it. There you can also jump on the cage (which moves) to get to the second door in this room, and collect all the dark souls in this location.
you talked about the cadeaux, I didn't go out of my way to collect cadeaux, but I had 520+ before the end of the game. and you only need 500 to get all the health upgrades. Also, the achievement for collecting every cadeaux isn't working on steam yet. Use F5 to quicksave, and F7 to quickload, it'll save you a lot of crap not failing the tricky jumps. a murderer and his victim are walking toward a dark scary forest. the victim looks up to the murderer and says "I'm scared of that dark scary forest" the murderer replies "how the hell do you think I feel? I have to walk out of there alone"

A friend of mine upgraded to xbox, so he gave me his N64 and a big box of games, Shadowman was among them. the first time I put it in and started playing it, my mother heard the opening cutscene between Legion and Jack The Ripper and immediately took it away from me. By the time she gave it back to me, I had upgraded to xbox as well, so I didn't bother going back to it. When is saw it on Steam it brought that memory back and I finally got a chance to sit down and play it. Plus the better version without the best stuff censored out.

As of yesterday, gotten all 120 dark souls and for the first time, all 666 cadeaux. Will do another playthrough for an achievement but not now.

@@Sussy-Baka776 there is one where the big drill is, drop down into the lava and you will find a door you can walk to.

It's on one of the books, i believe the one you pick in Jack office, the one you see at the intro. Idk if they changed it on the remastered
