Thank you. Mines an 1989. Can't believe I spent 20 mins trying to unscrew the spare under the truck. Didn't think of the keyhole to lower spare til I saw your video
Helpful, when I bought my 93 Toyota it didn't have a spare mounted and wasn't sure how to attach it, pretty sure I am missing pieces and Toyota doesn't sell replacement parts. Thanks for taking the time to make this video
Is the spare tire wiggly around down there a little since theres no brackets on the sides to hold it my 96 has nothing to hold it on the side and when i touch it with my hand it wiggles is this normal? Im scared if its bad for cable if its shaking while I drive also when tightening it how many times do you go around when wheel touches the top please let me know 🙏🏼
Should not be moving around. Not sure how they did it in 96. If it is the same as this on, you could try flipping the tire over and see if it pulls up better.
tubejim101 so it should not move at all not moving alot just only when I push on it with my hand to the side of wheel its stuck for sure just slightly paddles when pushing it idk if thats normal I know i tighten it really hard went like 3-4 times when was all the way to top already Ill make a video of it tomorrow
@@henryanaya8459 This is the wrong one, but I would look for a kit like this that has the correct specs. Something like this should work, if the lug wrench will fit the wheel nuts: amzn.to/3cWva80

Thank you Jim. I just bought a '92 Hilux, and how to drop the spare was one of the questions I had in my mind. This is just the answer I needed.
Your welcome.

Thank you.
Thank you for the video.

You could’ve put the spare tire up with the face facing downwards so you can air it up.
Great explanation, +1 for dog :)
Come on man, thank you sir!

Do you know where I could get this tool kit? My 91 didn’t come with one
I do not. They seem hard to find. If you find anyone selling new kits let me know.
I want to buy one for my 1990 pickup but they are over 100 where I live, do you know if other models work as well?
Did u ever find a tire tool kit . Need one fr 95 Toyota truck
Do you know what other kits I can use ? The one for my year is like 100 bucks or more.
What year make and model are you working on? What kind of kit are you looking for?
tubejim101 I have a 1990 pickup and I am looking for something like this where I can perform a tire change in case of an emergency

tubejim101 Fortunately for me, I have the lug wrench, was mostly asking about the device that elongates to lower the spare. Thanks
I made one out of the handle for a threaded scissor jack, just had to bend the end 90*.
