How to Install 4Runner Bumper onto 89-95 Toyota Pickup and Bumper Light Mod

- Finally found a replacement for my beat up front bumper. The 92-95 4Runner bumper is a complete bolt up to the 89-95 Toyota pickup. The original bumper light sockets will not fit the 4Runner sockets so you will need to solder on the new sockets. You can use the 4Runner sockets, or do as I did and turn the bumper lights into running lights using a front corner bulb socket front any 96-00 Honda Civic.
The bumper will stick out on the ends to match the 4Runner and 4wd pickups flared fenders. Do not forget to grab some of the bumper/fender brackets on the corners of the bumper.
Pretty easy install, and my truck looks much cleaner now.

You can use the front clip fenders ,bumper and brackets ,marker lights from 89 to 95 pickups or 4 runner thats 4wheel drive also the front 4x4 fenders are also wider so making it look stanced is real easy plus you can fit bigger rims and tires

Bro thank you so much. Bought a 94 and the bumper is a horrible shape. I’ll be replacing it with an eBay one for about 100 bucks. Then replacing the fender eventually

since you went with the 4runner bumper you needed to go with 4x4 fenders so the bumper lines up. right now you have the 2wd fenders.

I just did the swap yesterday to my 93 4wd pickup..It was hard to find the 4wd valance so I changed out for a 4runner bumper and valance

+Federico Alinovi It refers to the chassis of the 88-91 Honda Civic and CRX. An EF is actually a Japanese model but the term is loosely used to define these civics and crx's.

Will that stock bumper bumper connect to the 4Runner fenders and brackets? I was able to pick up the fenders and brackets but haven’t came across the bumper yet.
I'm not sure. Might as well go outside and try it. They are easy to mess with.

Hi Jon. I wanted to ask you for some advice. I am a pool guy looking for a small truck. Friends and family have mention I should look at older Toyota's. I found a small truck like yours it's a 94 V6 however every truck I have found so far the mileage are so crazy high. 200,000-300,000's. I wanted to know even though they are high in mileage is it still worth looking into a truck with that much mileage?
Definitely! These older Toyota's are known for getting up into the 3, 4, and even 500,000 miles. Try to find one at a reasonable price to begin with and possibly someone who has owned it for a lengthy amount of time. That way you can see what kind of general upkeep and maintenance has been performed on it. Staying on top of regular maintenance will easily put these trucks up there in mileage, and even if your motor blows you can still sell the shell for a bit of the money you bought it for.
Are the two center brackets different from the Toyota pickups and the Toyota 4Runner??
I don't recall. All the info I remember is in this video. I sold the truck January 2018. It's the only one I've ever worked on.

Also I’m wanting to switch my headlights from insert to sealed beam style, all I need is the other grille,side marker lights, and led sealed beam style headlights right?

I haven't a clue, sorry. I only ever researched this truck when I had it and found the 4runner parts to fit perfectly on this chassis. I sold this truck in January 2018.

@@GarageBuiltHondas Thanks I am in the process of doing some work on my 1990 Pickup. I want to add a condenser fan in the front but there is not enough room. I have seen some people say you can put on 4 runner grill etc.. to get it to work but I am having a hard time finding a lot of info.
I'd just get out there and try it, I don't really listen to "info" online a lot. I've realized a lot of "info" is skewed depending on the effort and experience of the individual.

That bumper will not work on 79 thru 88 trucks it only fits 89 thru 95 pickups it will work on 86 thru 88s but its not the right contour also it wont work on tacomas because the frame is wider

I really don't think this particular bumper will fit easily, but with mods I'm sure it can. Maybe the pathfinder bumper off of similar years will fit? I don't really know much about the Nissans.

Why the FUCK did you paint it? It would have looked cool but now it looks like ass (but that's just my opinion) BTW, that bumper will match a set a 4x4 fenders and not have the gap on each side.
Lol, I wasn't feeling it chromed out with my rear bumper all black too. It just flowed better to me. I could always strip it with some aircraft remover when I'm tired of this look though. I want the 4x4 fenders too! Been trying to find a used set in the same color but no luck yet. I'll buy some new ones eventually!
