    Christ man I love you. I worked my way up from a dish to a kitchen manager. After working manager position for a year I ask myself why would I leave? I run a restaurant in bar harbor Maine and the pay is 22$. ( 6 months of the year ) when we were struggling finding help the boss never told me the new hires were getting paid 28 - 30 an hour. I worked my ass off for years. I now clean air bnb for 40 an hour and have never looked back.

    Don't know how much longer I'm working at Jersey Mike's. Took a look at my pay stub and they lied about being competitive pay and aren't even paying me what we agreed to the day I interviewed.
    Sucks, because it seemed like such a good company to work for until they start doing shady shit...

      You don't clean until the lunch/dinner rush is over or if there's brief slowdown during the rush. Because you'll be too busy making orders, or getting things done. As soon as you get a chance you clean up.

    At Jersey Mike’s there is no need to pay high prices for food when you can pay extremely high prices here. No Joe Biden inflation needed, just high prices. That’s how we do it at Jersey Mike’s.

    You guys constantly change gloves so thats a good thing. But the slicing machine has residue of different meats and cheeses and the knife has residue of everything that is cut. Basically this is not good for those individuals who dont want certain meats or fish residue on their sandwiches or those who are vegans. I know some restaurants rinse out their knives and clean the slicing machines between each use.

      We clean the knife if it does have residue in it . The slicer is cleaned when it gets dirty
