    All cheese down first , could’ve got this done earlier & get a cutting board 1 row of vinegar 2 rows of oil & NEVER cut towards yourself …..also keep you knuckles down on table while cutting bread you’ll cut it even everytime 💯 but great flowering & good color on the bread & don’t push down on subs after being made we build them up to stay as high as possible but great evenly cuts 👍 overall presentation for customer should be good

    Im actually getting an interview for a job at Jersey mikes on friday. Part of me want to go on the other part back out. Im actually scared because this is a new profession for me. I usually work at grocery store or warehouses. How hard is working here? And also just out of curiosity, what state you work at?

      CA. It’s just like anything else in life. A little difficult at first but you learn and grow into it and it becomes a piece of cake, u got this!

    Damn in Canada this all is a health code violation with the meat drawer and using the slicer for different meats and cheeses without cleaning in between use…

    • @JMJX10
      @JMJX10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      what’s the procedure in canada

    • @sinomen2013
      @sinomen2013 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You have to keep every meat wrapped in separate containers, and you have to clean the slicer everytime you use a new ingredient as it could be cross contamination as different meats grow different bacterias and can either settle on the outside or the inside depending on the meat so you need to clean the slicer after every use especially if you’re cutting cheese on it as-well

      @chargeentertainment2981 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sinomen2013 ready to eat meats don't contain any harmful bacteria dude. Everything is pre cooked(for obvious reasons like you said) And that isn't cross contamination, that's cross contact. If the meats contained bacteria like you said then It wouldn't be safe no matter how you stored it.

    • @chargeentertainment2981
      @chargeentertainment2981 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sinomen2013 kinda like if I went to the store and bought pre cooked ham and sliced cheese, I wouldn't worry about combing the 2 together dude. That's called a sandwich. It's ok if meat comes into contact with cheese. Everything we have is safe to eat unless allergies

    • @sinomen2013
      @sinomen2013 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chargeentertainment2981 you don’t get it. Meat and cheese have different bacterias bro. Bacteria can not penetrate Beef but when it’s ground up it’s throughout the meat as in cold cuts. When you then slice the cheese after using meats you run the risk of cross contamination which is a BIG thing in Canada. What you do at home is your own hygiene. Kitchens and work is different

    Things are set up weird to me. What is your average bread/day?

  • @Retromags

    I wish Jersey Mikes did travel wraps for their subs. By the time people get to eat catering, they are so soggy from the liquids. A piece of wax paper between the roll and everything else, plus containers of oil and vinegar would make sure they make it fresh to people.

      Its called ordering it Mikes Way dry with Oil and vinegar on the side. Simple fix

    • @EDandAJ
      @EDandAJ  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      in my opinion, all to go orders should come dry and have the juice on the side. Game changer.

    • @Retromags
      @Retromags ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rudy3071 If the subs sit for an hour or more, the bread takes on the moisture from the lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Just easier to wax paper the wets away from the bread.

      @Retromags ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rudy3071 I get that, I am just saying the veggies (lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, sweet peppers) transfer their moisture to the bread if not travel wrapped or eaten right away. I wont even Door Dash Jersey Mikes, because by the time the driver gets it to me 35-45 minutes later, its a soggy mess.

    At least line the box w cold wrap ..its made to fit perfectly inside the box.

  • @Cooper-Lawson

    Question… why cut the bread that way and not leave it to where to toppings can fit and not fall out? That’s always my issue eating there and half the stuff always ends up as a salad in the end… maybe change that up!

    so it's basically 4 giant subs. but buying 4 giant subs is cheaper. what's up with that? the box is $75 and 4 giant #13s is just under $60 where I live.

    • @EDandAJ
      @EDandAJ  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ya it’s cheaper and faster for us to make 4 giants. Your pretty much paying for the box and presentation when you get it catering style
