This is a very informative video on a very delicate subject. I only have 1 qualm. I would love to have my email as the primary method of communication, but when I brought this up to my atty, she told me this is a bad idea because if an emergency happens, you will not know until the end of the day, thus making you look REALLY bad in court (I'm a single man in a bible belt conservative region that heavily favors mothers, so if I even breathe the wrong way, I face the risk of losing rights, even though my record is spotless and have never been in trouble.) Because lets face it. If your ex who is a narcissist, they will look and sometimes even create chaos that will be solely aimed to create the opportunity for you to make a mistake that they can use for ammo. If an emergency happens and you don't know about it until hours later, they will crucify you. Also, NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THEM. It hurts worse to your child and you if you do.
That's a really good point. I would recommend having some type of back up person that would be willing to communicate in the event of an emergency. Inform schools or any childcare institutions of the situation so if an emergency happens they are aware of the situation and know they need to contact both parents. This is what I do, personally, so if something happens at school the school knows to contact both of us.
