    We’ve been using a large fan blowing air on a large wet towel. Additionally, we hang wet towels on “strategically” hot spots and it works quite well.

    So, using this indoors - you will gradually be increasing the temperature and humidity within the house. You are using ice from the fridge to drop temperature. But as you take ice from fridge, the fridge makes more ice which increases the temp of room by more than the chiller lowers it. Secondly, it is adding to the room's humidity.

    • @reviewwriter8352
      @reviewwriter8352 ปีที่แล้ว

      Assuming fridge is in same room.

    • @bigdog8008
      @bigdog8008 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@reviewwriter8352 Most probably still in same house - fridge makes more ice (ice making notoriously inefficient) plus AC must make up for fridge running plus removing humidity from house that was added by the unit.

    • @hazedidit
      @hazedidit ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t have one but adding humidity is part of what it is actually supposed to do, not an adverse consequence of using it… as far as ice goes, that would be with the assumption that your fridge has an ice maker which would make it produce heat to produce ice whereas mine doesn’t have an ice maker and just makes it over time in the freezer in trays…

    • @bigdog8008
      @bigdog8008 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@hazedidit Are you serious?
      1 -- Adding humidity will give you a short term cooling as the moister evaporates from your skin BUT will make conditions worse as time goes on and the humidity gets higher. One of the main functions of Air Conditioning is to REMOVE humidity.
      2 -- Because you don't have an automatic ice maker doesn't make one bit of difference. The act of creating ice in the freezer will still introduce the same amount of heat into the home.

    First rule of reviews, never trust a guy who is selling it himself. Find a review by someone like an engineer who is not hawking it himself. Prepare to be shocked by the difference in their opinion.

    Does it help with humidity?

    • @MezzyReviews
      @MezzyReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      It raises humidity so the front mister likely wont be as effective in humid weather. I live where there is dry heat so they definitely help raise the humidity in the room

    do the misters in the front drip water all all?

    • @Izzy-zb8kl
      @Izzy-zb8kl ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine does a little

    • @MezzyReviews
      @MezzyReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is slight build up on the gray area around them but its never dripped out for me. Even in the 1 hour timelapse there was minimal build up on mine.

    • @MezzyReviews
      @MezzyReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Izzy-zb8kl I guess different conditions and humidity would cause more or less build up on that area. Mine only builds up a little but never drips, even when moving it and shake it it isnt enough to make them drip off the unit
      Do you live in an area that is already humid?
