I remember how mind blowing David's original documentary was that revealed all of this secret material. There is a big satisfaction in doing this kind of detective work where you realise that only you and the people you show your work to actually understand what was really going on.

Another fantastic episode brought to us by WW2TV. David O'Keefe is very, very persuasive in his case. He answered something here that has been bugging me for years; why the crate(s) of handcuffs, as these were not only illegal, but as you mentioned contributed to the infamous Kommandobefehl (Commando Order). Now for Part 3 to see how he develops his case further.

@@WW2TV I'm convinced. I think Part 3 will put this beyond dispute.

I'm always play catch up because there's more shows than time it seems. I followed the advice between Part 1 and this episode to read the book first. And wow, the book is fantastic!!! I read the kindle edition and I couldn't wait to get back to it each day. Highly recommended and these 2 episodes on the raid have been great. Looks like I also have a Part 3 to this I need to catch up on so I look forward to that. As always, absolutely great effort and channel. Thanks.

A few episodes covering the Geneva Conventions (how to treat POWs) and the Hague Conventions (the Rules of War) and how each side dealt with these would be fantastic eye-openers.

Maybe focus should be on capture of radar station rather than Dieppe town. Good presentation

Lovely stuff again. Two nuggets: about 2010 X Cdo was remade as the information exploitation unit. Aussie infiltration/encirclement tactics in 1917/18 were called "cutting out" (and I thought) after the drill from sheep farming.

It sound like Market Garden. Those who create these plan's. Should lead those forces from the front lines and not 30 or more miles behind the lines.

You asked David about recommendations for further reading. I would suggest this from something The AceDestroyer uploaded to TH-cam a few years ago - th-cam.com/video/dHcBEwhwV9g/w-d-xo.html This covers what each Churchill managed to do, and its not as bad as often portrayed. Combine this with what David O'Keefe has just said and things make a lot more sense.
