Ok so on the subject of Bears: the original name for the bear was lost on purpose, due to the superstition that invoking its name would summon it. Instead, various cultures developed euphemisms for it including "the Brown One", "Wild Beast" and Beowulf (literally meaning "Bee-Wolf", or the honey eater)
The English term for "bear" comes from a Proto-Germanic term that meant "brown one." Ancient Germanic speakers believed that by saying bears's name you might draw their attention so the term became taboo requiring an alternative word to be used. English is a language that is descended from Proto-Germanic.

05:58 Actually, from what I've read, most of the animals around Chernobyl are just bigger and more radiation resistant. The ecosystem has recovered quite nicely. The huge 9'-15' long catfish, in the near by lake getting picked up and eaten by the local eagle population, was particularly interesting. Both the water, and bone of other local catfish, were radioactive enough to kill a human dead, but the birds appeared to be fine.
Fun fact, the weirdest thing to come out of Chernobyl are leaves with slightly different patterns. Most every genetically complex creature died off, what was left was genetically simple things
If you do Space Wolves, I hope you do them justice instead of just cracking furry joke for an hour. I will recommend the audio books Blood of Asaheim, Stormcaller, and Hellwinters Gate, and of course the ragnar blackmane series.
If I remember correctly, the Aphrael ones have a Lamenters style curse/fckery, where they can crush it on the battlefield, but the second combat stops, everything goes to sh*t and they get injured or killed from non stop random accidents
Ulrik The Slayer Space Wolves Wolf priest Interesting side note Lions King of the jungle are not actually found in the jungle but the despite this fact people still call them king of the jungle to this day lol.
Note on Beastmen: In Warhammer Fantasy/Sigmar, Beastmen are represented through, basically, Satyrs, Minotaurs, and Centaurs and were explicitly Chaos-aligned. They despised civilization and wanted to tear it all down. The physical appearance of Beastmen remains the same in 40k (at least in models). So they're not furries, just half-man half-goat.
Honestly don’t care who wins the next poll, I’d just love to see a video on the alternate heresies. Either a broad video of all of them, or an in depth video of the dornian heresy
There are the voidborn. They're humans that grew up generation-after-generation-after-generation etc...on orbital platforms, space stations and void ships. They've become perfectly adapted to living in the access tunnels, crawl spaces and whatnot in the orbital platforms, space stations and void craft. In the larger platforms, stations and ships, there will be entire clans and tribes who live only in the specific regions of a platform, station or ship and only know how to repair the machinery there. Sometimes these clans and tribes wage war against one another. If a voidborn clan or tribe goes extinct, then the surrounding clans and tribes have to figure out how to repair the machinery in that section, machinery that might not exist in any other part.
That was a big thing in the Fabius bile books and seemingly on chaos ships generally, all kinds of tribes of mutants evolved to their particular part of the ship, bent and seeded with warp juice and Fabius biles genetic byblows. Super cool stuff, there were devolved space monkies in his wraithbone grove living alongside noise marines, war mutants in the armory, role inheritor tribes living around the various mechanisms of the ship.
5:49 Chernobyl animals are normal looking, they just rend towards darker pigmentation to combat radiation and have much much shorter lifespans. (Chernobyl dogs live an average of 4-5 years. Long enough to reproduce, but not near as long as dogs elsewhere. Same with insects and amphibians. Large herbivores seem to be fine, but they tend to have higher ranges and are able to mix genes from non-irradiated specimens.) Obvious mutations do happen, but they’re usually fatal so don’t get passed on.
Like you said Lysander I don't want to see abbadon now. I want him to fail again and again and then pull it out in the 13th time he's up. Now I'd love to see your take on the genestealers

THIS IS THE ONE TIME EVER VOTED AND ONE OF THE FEW TIMES I HAVE EVER COMMENTED, I ABSOLUTELY NEED A SPACE WOLVES EPISODE!!!!!!!!!
I did it I joined my forst patreon lol I love the content you guys make
Overthrow The Armless Failure!
Cultist-chan for Warmaster!
If you do Space Wolves, I hope you do them justice instead of just cracking furry joke for an hour. I will recommend the audio books Blood of Asaheim, Stormcaller, and Hellwinters Gate, and of course the ragnar blackmane series.
We need the episode for that one kid we had in our class at school who thought they were a wolf, give us the imperium sanctioned wolf kids! 😂
If I remember correctly, the Aphrael ones have a Lamenters style curse/fckery, where they can crush it on the battlefield, but the second combat stops, everything goes to sh*t and they get injured or killed from non stop random accidents
Ulrik The Slayer Space Wolves Wolf priest
Interesting side note Lions King of the jungle are not actually found in the jungle but the despite this fact people still call them king of the jungle to this day lol.
Big vote for genestealers and massive vote against the aspect warriors
Would love the wolves, but let’s toss Abbadon to the losers bracket too.
It seems we’re all in agreements that Abbadon is winning the 13th poll?
Note on Beastmen:
In Warhammer Fantasy/Sigmar, Beastmen are represented through, basically, Satyrs, Minotaurs, and Centaurs and were explicitly Chaos-aligned.
SPACEWOLVES MENTIONED! WHAT THE HELL IS A PSYKER 🗣️🗣️🗣️🐺🐺🐺🪓🪓🪓🔥🔥🔥
Go Gene-Stealers!
0:46 that's a cat-boy thank you very much.
I'd love to see an Episode on the space wolves.
Gene stealers DO IT
I really wanna see the space wolves, but I really don’t wanna see abbadon yet because having him be the 13th poll WOULD be very fun
Listening to this to fall asleep to at work. Keep it up guys
I genuinely want to see more about the intricacies of the eldar, they get so little spotlight in general.
Large herbivores seem to be fine, but they tend to have higher ranges and are able to mix genes from non-irradiated specimens.)
Obvious mutations do happen, but they’re usually fatal so don’t get passed on.
The ogryn dont "need" to lock shields they do it to protect the lil uns
Like you said Lysander I don't want to see abbadon now.
I want him to fail again and again and then pull it out in the 13th time he's up.
Now I'd love to see your take on the genestealers
Let’s go wolf boys. Holding out on abandon until the 13th poll
I'm so glad abhumans won, I've been wanting to learn about them for so long.
OK, let's see the space wolves, abadon will have his day soon enough
Love the lovecraftian aspects of the Genstealer Cults so it would cool to hear more about them
Space Wolves would be oddly appropriate for the next choice, since as you know, there are no wolves on Fenris.
Space Puppies and jean stealers please
Space Wolves episode would be awesome. The wolves of fenris must bark once more
Awooooo! 🐺 the wolves of Fenris need an episode. *wags tail excitedly*
I hear one "uwu" outta you, and I'm callin' in the flamers.
The HEAVY flamers.
No abandon, we want spacewolves up in here
Everyone be thinking Felinids look like anime cat girls but in reality they probably look like Weasel from Suicide Squad.
If I can't have my Krieg episodes then I'll take space pullies
eldar pls? also thank you guys so much ! keep up the good work guys!!!
Abaddon HAS to be the 13th so count me against
Space Wolves baby! Time to fight for the All father!
In case you wonder - I'm that one guy who stays instill credits ends just sitting here and vibing to the music I really enjoy.
If you guys really like plant people you should check out guild wars 2.
Also I am voting against Abadon
25:01 New York has Skaven, not Croc men. I love it
The day that GW takes a stance on Felinids, the heavens will *part* ! And the fallout will be Bethesda levels …
I vote for the space wolves because it's a nice continuity to talk about the furries right after the abhumans
The picture at 22:19 is from a game called Planeside 2. The armor is called Legion Armor, and it has many helmets.
Do Space Wolves next!!!
I do want to see a video about Abigail the disaster. But it would be funny to watch him lose for the 13th...
I'm a fan of Space Wolves, but I'd honestly like to hear how you lads describe the Genestealers.
Gav and Bob! I'd be interested in the Gene boys. Give those wackos a go.
