Malaysia not only have KL. But also there are more plenty interesting places other than KL like Penang, Langkawi, Terengganu, Pahang, Johor, Sabah, Sarawak
ive travelled Asia extensively for months at a time in each country and im still addicted to KL and people are always confused as to why i like KL so much lol, i just feel so good there and especially before the pandemic it felt like a meltion pot as its a major airline hub so it had an exciting energy vibe as a lot of people there are an stop overs on their trips.
I know what you mean , I did my undergrad there 30 years ago and that time it was not so modern,it was a nice place.People are nyc without being overbeairing. They are modern yet traditional in their ways, nature is beautiful and yet it one of the most modern cities in Asia . For me it is one of the best in the world.

6:02 the terminals are differentiated by airline type…not about domestic or international
KLIA is the terminal for most airlines unless you’re flying budget/Lowcost carrier such as AirAsia then it will be at klia2.

I was born and raised in KL but now I hate going into KL because of the traffic. My family moved away from KL to the neighbouring state about 20 years ago.
Langkawi is one of my favourite islands in Malaysia. I don’t like islands because of the heat and humidity but Langkawi is different because it has duty free shops so it’s a shopping heaven.
Wow! Definitely will consider Langkawi if I ever visit Malaysia. Another great vid.

KL is nice and all but it doesn't give you the peace in mind especially if you intend to live in Malaysia, if you get what I mean. The noise always gets me. KL is beautiful no doubt about that but I visit that place only if I had to. Best of luck in Langkawi.

Should have taken free shuttle or the inter terminal train to transit from KLIA 2 to KLIA 1..the train only costs RM2 for 4 mins ride

It's better to fly / go to Penang from Langkawi before you head back to KL. Penang is developed and authentic.
Hi Dany & Bianca , glad you really like our KL city ! There are plenty to discover especially the food ! I seldom follows travel videos but you guys are doing a great job ( I like your presentations and the video shots are fantastic), maybe I am biased ha ha because I am born in KL and currently undertaking some construction work itself at the building you like so much in your videos ha ha ! You know the second tallest building in the world ?
Anyway I have subscribed to your channel and would like to see how you think about other places in our country.
As I know you are currently in Langkawi , I am confident you won't be disappointed!
If is not too late , I strongly recommend you guys to check out two restaurants there.
First : an interesting little Malay restaurant overlooking padi fields and mountain named Nasi Dagang Pak Malau ( Jln Makam Mahsuri ) , go there for breakfast ( try the nasi dagang of course) and the beautiful scenery!
Next : dinner at a little Chinese restaurant named Weng Fung Seafood Restaurant frequented more by the locals as opposed to tourists. The food is definitely better here (at least for me ) compared to those big glittering restaurants that you find in Pantai Cenang !

From klia2 to klia1 is only rm2 if you take ERL train
Train service is every half an hour. Just take the free bus for the transfer (every 10 min).

This, is exactly why I am not considering KL as my semi-retirement spot. I mind as well stay in San Francisco then if I wanted concrete jungle. Go to Penang. I stayed for a month while doing my MM2H finish up and I loved it. Think a cheap Oahu, Hawaii with way better food.
VW Chan, I live in Berkeley and you and I agree re Penang. But I think KL, though not charming like Penang, is a far better Big City to live in compared to the SF Bay Area. Superior in every way. That includes traffic! But yes, I would choose Penang.

Agent was obviously well worth it. Did you hear Sabah is issuing its own MM2H program soon? Yes, may be even better (fingers crossed). See you in Penang!!!!!
