Flex is actually giving back 7x points on dining, you get an additional 4 for the rotating category and an additional 2 for the 3x category, hence 1+4+2 = 7
I love these types of videos! For my setup I have a Capital One duo (regular Venture + got approved for the SavorOne last week) and I'm working toward a Chase Trifecta (I have the Freedom Unlimited, and just got approved for the Sapphire Preferred last week too, now I just need the Freedom Flex). For gas and groceries I have the AmEx BCE, and for my catch all I have the Citi Double Cash. The only thing left that I want after I get the Flex is the BILT card.
The spend multipliers on the flex work like this. All purchases earn: 1% Restaraunts: additional 2% Q2 restaraunts: additional 4% Hotels and Amazon would be 4+1=5% Restaraunts ends up being 4+2+1=7%
Id rate it a 7.5 out of 10 Currently i have the 1. CFF for amazon and restaurants 2. BILT on the 1st of the month + rent and all bills also on the 1st of the month for double points 3. WOH for everything else until i hit the $15k spend for the free night certificate.
Solid setup Mark! For Q2 I got the Chase Freedom Flex for their categories AND 5x on gas and grocery welcome offer, the Citi Custom Cash for my gym membership and personal training costs, the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday for Sam’s Club and Walmart purchases, and the Chase Prime Visa as my catch all thanks to a checking bonus. Also I plan on opening the Chase Sapphire Preferred in May
Groceries has been my only CCC spend from the beginning. Why every TH-camr pushes gas for the CCC is beyond me. The Chase Flex gives 7% on dining Q2, confirmed. Check your statement. It's always 2% over the base 1% (3% total). With 5% (+2%) this quarter, the CFF gives 7% on dining. You are 10/10.
Everything sounds good except Marriott. Those points are so devalued. That 5 free night offer is terrible too, couldn't use it at the bottom tier places in my region.
I got the 5 night offer. I'm using 2 in Utah to see some national parks, but I'm using the other 3 for the new JW Marriott Clearwater. I had to throw in some points for the JW, but I found a lot of value from my FNAs.
I always enjoy this type of video.
Thanks so much for your support it’s very much appreciated!!

Better than I thought!
nice setup, my current setup is CFF for dining 7x, custom card for groceries and my catch all card is my CFU.
I didn’t realize it was 7x instead of 5x until some commenters let me know and now I’m even more pumped haha 7x is so solid!
@@markplymale 7x is the best, and yw
Great vid like usual Mark. Hope u make investment advising vids one day, I'm trying 2 learn how that game works now.

That Charles schwab debit card is a beast; It is the first card in my wallet .
Actually the CFF is earning 7% back this quarter on dining. 3%+5% =7% with the 1% base spend figured in.
I saw that from a few other commenters that’s awesome! Even better than I thought!
I thought chase freedom flex is earning 7% this quarter. Normal 3% plus 5% quarter 2 up to $1500.
The spend multipliers on the flex work like this.
All purchases earn: 1%
Restaraunts: additional 2%
Q2 restaraunts: additional 4%
Hotels and Amazon would be 4+1=5%
Restaraunts ends up being 4+2+1=7%
1% normal spend, 4% quarterly bonus and 2% dining
I think it’s actually 7%. Another commenter pointed that out and I checked my “pending points” and that appears the case. Even better than I thought!
@@markplymale 7% is still insane.
7, not 8.
Gas stations sell amazon cards !!!!!
Id rate it a 7.5 out of 10

I’ll take that score! Also you’ve got a solid setup

Solid setup man! I want the CSP too I’m holding off until there’s another 80k offer. Hasn’t been one in almost a full year so hopefully it comes soon

Nice! I just checked and you’re correct that’s so sick. Might need to add a 3rd freedom for this quarter 😂
Solid setup. Nice job Mark👍
Thanks Jake!

Dang that sucks! Yeah I had a few issues using my 3 50k FNCs as well

8:30 I’m with you that also my catch all card too.
Tough to beat the CFU it’s such a great card
@@markplymale plus Chase ultimate rewards are so valuable.
😊
That Flex should be earning you 7x on dining. 1x base + 2x category + 4x bonus
Yeah it’s better than I thought!
😊
10/10!
Thank you!
