After getting x^(x²-2x-1)=1 at 6:07 we can recall that a^b=1 means that: • a=1 regardless of b --> x=1 • b=0 regardless of a≠0 x²-2x-1=0 --> x=½[-2±sqrt(8)] =-1±sqrt(2) • a=-1 for even b If x=-1, x²-2x-1=1+2-1 =2 --> Thus x=-1 Therefore x={±1,1±sqrt(2)}
I really appreciate U due to Ur Understand about others ❤ brother from Haiti U're Man of World ❤ I have trouble about this exercice a^b + b^a = 17, calculate a and b Rewind for me please Sr
thank you, very nice and instructive video, important to find three roots rsp three solutions - could you do me the favour to write your name on the board, my hearing ability is not so well
x^(x²-2x-1)=1 means that: • x=1 regardless of the power • the x²-2x-1=0 regardless of x≠0, yielding 2 solutions because it is a quadratic equation. • x=-1 and the power is even. For x=-1 the power=(-1)²-2(-1)+1=2. As the power is even, 2 in this case, then x=-1 is also a solution, the 4th one. He misses the 3rd possibility
Tres tres bien
I appreciate your passion my friend Jakes! Keep rocking haha

Nice Master.
Well done!
The solution even though long,was interesting, it was wonderful to see it inching towards the final answer.
Thankyou Sir!
Nice problem. A little tricky. Love your channel!

There are 4 roots. I believe you missed the 4th root which is x = -1

I think there are 4 roots
+1; -1; 1 + sqrt(2); 1 - sqrt(2)
I have a doubt sir. Why can't we write
X*2=2X+1
x^(x²-2x-1)=1 means that:
• x=1 regardless of the power
• the x²-2x-1=0 regardless of x≠0, yielding 2 solutions because it is a quadratic equation.

Identite remarquable
x=-1 is also the solution
-1 is also a solution of Your equation
x= 1 cannot be true for the equation sir. Input it into the equation it wont be equal
Non tu as oublier_1
I think -1 is not a solution, because x^2-x-1 is not divided by x+1
That statement makes no sense. Try again.
Awesome trick man. Thanks for the great job @onlinemathsTV.
x=1
wrong answer
Your step is too long. From the original equation, you can take logarithm of both sides, and you will still land to your final results.

0 is impossible
