Fantastic video… these are my favorite 2 characters in the show… The characters were strong, clear and consistent. The acts executed a very entertaining, mature and great at their craft .
At the time, one of the Murdoch employees was the then Prime Minister’s press man, office in Downing Street etc. He would be jailed for his part in the phone hacking. The PM, Cameron, promised a further investigation as more illegal activities became apparent. The Murdoch press being staunch supporters of his party so of course that never happens. But it and the court cases have not gone away.

Great show, and great dialogue, but the final season plot is just nonsensical to anyone in finance. They were selling a problematic company at a huge premium. They decided to undermine that deal and keep the company. But to lose that battle means they lose the company but get cashed out at a huge premium (ok a lot was in equity). I know the show is called Succession and the idea is who wins the big job but how upset can they really be when “losing” is actually winning financially?
Kendall, Shiv and Roman were never focused on the money. In a highly competitive family, winning (even if you're actually losing) is all that matters. For those three, winning meant becoming the King/President/CEO of Waystar/Royco. I'm not wealthy, but I understand.
Why would they care about the premium? They've always had enough money to do whatever they wanted. It's clear from the past four seasons all they want is to live up to what they think their dad wanted.
I mean yeah it was very clear that they're making financially unsound decisions due to their own sentiments and desire for validation/power. The kids have never been especially wise characters lol.
