This piece was commissioned in memory of Briggs Anderson. He was a class mate of mine and we premiered this piece this last winter because it would have been Briggs"s senior year. Every time I here this song It brings me to tears. I love Andy Beck's work. He did a wonderful job writing such a beautiful piece in memory of Briggs.

My 13-year-old daughter Norah passed away in October. At her school's spring concert they sang this song for her. It really meant a lot. Sending love to your classmates and Briggs' family.

I’m a substitute teacher at my old high school and the chorus just started learning this song. I just lost my nana yesterday too, it felt like I was supposed to hear this song. So beautiful
Every time I hear this, it reminds me of my boyfriend and how much I love him and when I heard them sing it at his graduation I broke down.. every time I heard this song this year I was with him: my all county concert, my winter concert, and now graduation. And now I must endure four years without him. But I’d do anything for him.
this song gets me sad a little, last year all choirs at my school sang this as a combined piece and that was the first concert of the year and she ended up going, ended up breaking up 3 months later but it just reminds me of all the memories we had.
Hey only two years left without him!
Only one year left! Are you guys still together (if you don’t mind me asking)?
@@heyyitsjenna yes! We are still together! We actually live together now and are coming up on our 4 year anniversary :) I’ve never been happier in my life before and he remains my best friend.
@@heyyitsjenna forgot to mention I originally said we would be apart because he was going to college, he went for 3 semesters and became very depressed and moved back home, after I graduated we were able to move in :)
I did this for 8th grade choir. I love this piece so much. Every chord, every single note blends incredibly well in this piece. This is one of my very favorite pieces of music.
Omg what school...!?

@@rosemarytolbert1764 almost. I haven't really been working on it like I should be. It'll be done at the end of the year (✿^‿^)
@@kinzie7434 have you finished the book yet? Also did you end up getting your choir teacher to have you sing this song? Our concert’s tomorrow and we’re singing it and this song gets to me every time
@@heyyitsjenna hi! Yes, I've finished it, but i don't think ill be releasing it. We never sang this song in choir, but it's a beautiful song.
The song is so sophisticated and calming, great work on making the video.

I've always loved this song. We sang it in my 7th grade chorale class and we all loved it so much that we got together and sang it again. We used this song to help us through tough times, kind of like a Glee moment
