This song legit hurts to listen to because I had the flu when we learned this, and for some reason my brain associates this song with being sick. Such a shame, this song is awesome.
I used to live in wisconsin, I only went there till 9th grade, and I realized after I moved, I missed my old friends, I was in choir and I had older friends in a different choir and we did this and it was absolutely beautiful. Now livin in Colorado, BTW next school year I will be a senior, and I do have some friends leaving this year and had a friend last year who graduated.
Alfred Music Choral The Piano part does work ideal for rehearsal, but if the piano part is played on a Synthesizer set to a Strings patch w/ the choir, it'll sound more orchestral like.
The Piano part can also be played on a Synthesizer set to strings if you wanna have an Orchestral background which reminds me. Can you please make a version for Choir, Concert Band, & Strings in the Original Key? We need Concert Band (Playable on its own), & String Orchestra (Playable on its own too) versions that are in the same key as this version because I think the song gets more interesting with Concert Band, and String Orchestra.
@UCmoIskXa0Xgm0SyIOKo4OSQ Can you please make a version for Choir, Band, & Strings? I've always wanted to do Light In The Hallway for Choir w/ Concert Band, & String Orchestra accompaniment. My High School has Band, Orchestra, & Choir, which made me think "Why not Light In the Hallway for Choir w/ Band, & String Orchestra".
Pentatonix has a very unusual combination of vocal ranges and timbres in the group. This key (higher) means the soprano and alto parts are in a more typical range for choral parts.

Pentatonix made a truly haunting and beautiful version of this.
My choir sings this every year at graduation. being a senior this year, this song brings out so many emotions

Singing a this song my graduation this year I just know I’m going to cry like a baby🥺
The seniors of my choir sang this song together this year at our last concert and omfg I almost died.

Anna Joy That's awesome! I would love to bring this to my group!
Vanessa Smith - The Ultimate Fangirl Start one!
My high school choir decided to sing this the year after I graduated... it made me sad
I'm singing this in just a week. I'm a bass for my school choir, and this is part of our rep for End of Year Concert.
I really hope my choir is gonna sing this one day😍❤️
Someday we'll have a version for choir band and strings.
We should also have more voicings for female and Male choirs, as well as versions for Choir Band and Strings.
If this is last song I hear what I’ll play.
Wish we could sing this for choir!
That voicing should end up on MusicNotes.Com
I played that arrangement on a Bandoneon
this song fye asf
Alfred Music Choral The Rehearsal Piano part could lend itself towards Pianists who want to do an Instrumental Piano version.
i am singing this for solo days

Alfred Music Choral It would be very good if we had optional Concert Band & Strings for a neat sound.
i’m singing this in chior lol

Does anyone know if this is a NYSSMA piece, and if so, what level?
It's a pentatonix piece. What do the letters N and Y mean in choir writing, M is actually a Mezzo.
@@RockStarOscarStern634 pretty sure it means New York State School Music Association
@@Bekklol Now we're rockin.
why would you put it in a different key ugh
to fit the voices of the singers?
It sounds better in this key imo anyway.

@@Vocalinds I can agree on that. My choir is doing the Pentatonix first noel and it's the exact same the sang. Its really weird with the ranges.
@@andieknight3432 Yeah but it's to fit the typical range.
