I moved to Texas almost 20 years ago to get away from the cold. When I first moved here it was warm most of the winter but not anymore! I am a sixty year-old disabled senior that travels in my wheelchair 2010 dodge grand caravan with my four Chihuahuas for suicide awareness. I would love to visit Canada but I could never live there. I would love to meet chrome, cruise bear and Jeffie Bear❤
Hello Renee! I just saw one of your videos on Tik Tok and thought that you have a great perspective on vanlife. I binge watched all of your TH-cam videos and thought they were great! I live on Vancouver Island and have been living nomadicly since May 7th, 2021. I, too, am 57 and love this way of life. You have some great ideas and may use some of them. Thank you for sharing your journey 😊
Nice to meet you and a big thanks for watching all the videos I so do appreciate that. I was hopeful in summer and thought I might be down on Vancouver Island for this winter but life had its way with me again. I am very content as well. Maybe our paths shall cross one of these days. 😊
@Be you vanLife I'm originally from the Cariboo but loved in Kamloops when my kids were very young. I'm a retired rancher/ranch hand. I figured life was way too short, so I got into the nomad life. There are bumps in the road like sticks and bricks, but I wouldn't trade this lifestyle for anything.
Great video!! As you know I live in a window van. On the west coast. Lots of condensation on them. Pretty much can't prevent it. 3 winters in Big Blue.. 4th winter got inspired from Priscilla Haskin from alberta to double up the reflectix on the windows. Still condensate..and by condensate I mean water.. but a huge difference in insulation. I hope we can meet when I leave the Island in April for my road trip to alberta.
The outside humidity is generally between 50% to 85% on a given winter day. I my believe having windows is a huge factor in humidity in a van. I blocked my windows off in hopes it would help with that. So far it is looking promising, but you are very right it has to do with al lot of factors. Each living space can be very different with heating, venting, window, holes etc….. Of course it might be very different for me down at the coast and then next weeks weather could prove me wrong. Everyone’s journey is so very unique. Take care Loreen love your journey and most of all that we are sisters in van life. We will most definitely meet one day.
Hi Renee good video but loreen is right living this lifestyle most everybody deals with condensation but your on the track to keeping on top of it…Kev c
Reflectics didn’t work for me on my wheel wells. I have never tried them on my windows. I have only used the quilted magnetic window coverings that I made. I am sure reflectics do work for somethingS. They just don’t work for wheel wells in -30 °F . I may give it a try on one of my windows could use some more light in the back of my van. Kev I am sure my day is coming, I just have not had that problem yet. We have a whole week of rain so this might be my week.
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺

We shall meet for sure Loreen. I keep waiting for condensation, I also keep it quite warm and maybe that dries it out.
@@beyouvanlife what is the outside humidity where you are? And with dry heat I doubt you'll ever have a problem.
Opposite here!
