November 29, 2024. Just came here after watching today's vid on TheDailyWoo channel. Had never watched this. Crazy to see how far you've come. Congrats on all of your success Adam, and thanks for bringing us along on your adventures. I indeed, shall join you. 👍
Adam is what the American dream used to be all about. Work hard, dream big, and you may just succeed. It's always nice to see good people like Adam prospering.
The million van life people now on TH-cam this the OG. He did it when it was so much harder too, batteries and other innovations have made this so much easier
It’s December 2024 and this popped up on my feed. It’s crazy to see how much of Adam’s life has changed! He said he was paying 550$ in rent and between 100$ - 150$ in utilities. In today’s world, that would be a dream come true!!
Adam is an example of success not by wishing, but from hard work, bravely done. If i could do a Back to the Future time travel, I would tell this Adam to keep the faith. That his gamble would pay off. And it would all work out like a Disney movie.
I've been watching your videos for years and now i'm 35 and in the same place you were during this video. I paid off my vehicle, i'm single, no attachments and i'm living in a camper. I only have the necessities. I'm lovin it! I'm saving to open my own barbershop
Adam, since I am commenting 12 years later… I can confidently say your decision yielded benefits you couldn’t have imagined in 2010. Congratulations & I wish all the best in your creator business on TH-cam!
I came here from your 10 year to the day anniversary video you just posted ,I found you about 3-4 years ago it's awesome you were brave enough to live you're dream of traveling ,I was able to for 2 years made it to 44 states saw some beautiful things thank you for all that you do and the places I haven't been that you have and have showed me
Just finished watching your tour of your old employment spots 10 years later....definately had to search for this video....the beginning of your great life adventure! Thanks for a decade of awesomeness!
I lived in a travel trailer for 8 years, not a van, mind you, but I lived on the road. It saved me a lot of money, and I have great stories and memories to go with that time in my life. 👍🏻
And nearly a decade later still living and loving life doing what you want on your terms. Good for you Adam. Keep up the great content, always look forward to my Daily Woo notification!
hey Woo, going back, doing a Woo-a-thon if u will. I subscribed to TDW a few weeks before you left CA this time last year. then I got my brother hip to TDW and we watching every day at lunch time. wanted to tell u that your channel has brought an otherwise boring 45 min lunch, to a, 'let's Woo', as soon as I walk though the door thing. keep on trucking man, we have put a little Goodie bag for you when u come through MD again come by ,hang, w/ good eats!!! don't worry about parking. holler!!
Here after watching your recent reminiscing video on Thanksgiving... Have to chuckle while watching this.. kudos to having the fortitude to pulling this off in spite of those telling you to not do it. Cheers! Looking forward to watching the international content. While i don't watch every day, i do check in from time to time. I stayed watching you about 4 years ago after moving to Central Florida and having a video of yours show up in my suggestions.
Litterally square one for Adam the woo. Popped up in my feed randomly tonight. Pretty cool to see how you got your start. I have been a long time follower of the daily woo and it’s cool to see your humble beginnings.
Adam I came across this video while watching your other hilarious vids. All I can say is WOW!! It takes a ton of courage to do what you've done. I'm completely hooked on your videos, they give me a laugh every day :) Thanks for doing what you do.
I had to live in my car it wasn't a choice. I was renting a roomI had a gym membership to take showers and went to the laundromat. The worst part was that it was so cold. It was winter when I started.
Wait how come you had to live in your car if you were renting a room ? Or did you mean you couldn't afford the room anymore so you moved into your car when you stopped renting the room ? Either way there was a period of time when I couldn't afford to pay rent any longer and I had to live in my car too and let me tell you it was the WORST !! Nothing more boring than being stuck inside your car all and night. Especially when you can't drive anywhere cause you have no gas money lol. I do not miss those days at all. ;)
@@JNC1973 They had a huge snake. They fed it mice and rats. It got lose in the house. Turns out it was in the room that I rented. It almost attacked me. And if that wasn't enough they got a Rottweiler and Pit Bull without introducing me to them. The pit was used for fighting, before taking him in. Don't get me wrong I love Rotties and Pits. But these were dangerous. And clearly were gonna attack me when I got home if it wasn't for another roommate. So I got to my room and moved out. By the way of my room window. My roommate came outside, I gave him my keys told him to give them to the couple who rented the room to me and never went back again. But yea it sucked living in my 95 haundi Excel hatchback. I'll never forget how cold it was, all I had was a handmade wool blanket my mom made. Which was made with gapping holes. It was in northern NJ in the mountains. I'm glad we are both out of that situation.
I hope you keep living your dream and it gives you want you want in return. Too many of us, me included, end up stuck in the rat race unhappy and lonely. You are proof that it doesn't have to be that way. We might all not be able to follow you physically but following you vicariously gives us hope and sharing your adventures helps us to 'live' too in a small way I hope you continue to live your life and remain happy Best wishes and happy travels
That van has noooo idea of all the adventures to be had! I accidentally found this video whilst trying to find the infamous sunglasses that you don. I admire you. You took your dream and made it real. So many of us keep saying, " someday." Your "someday" turned into reality in Dec of 2010. Much respect Adam.
Exactly right. How long are you going to be dead? FOREVER! It's your life. You can either do what other people want you to do with it, or you can do what YOU want to do with it!
Adam is a role model. Live the life you want ,not what others want you to live. Adam has way better stories and has lived a better life than those people
I just watched the documentary that Kenny Johnson did and here I thought I couldn't love Adam any more. Can't wait to show my husband later. He and I have been following for quite some time and just dig all of what you do. Sir, you are an artist and an inspiration (and even a little insane ;) I mean that with the UPMOST respect. You are living life with intention: loud and generous, and I only hope that we can raise our kids to have the same love for life. This entire story of yours really resonated with us, as a close friend of ours sold and donated all of his possessions (and gave up his apartment) last year to leave Canada and travel the world solo at age 38. One day he just decided that there had to be "more" for him out there. He has experienced so much and even met and followed (I swear it's not as creepy as it sounds) a girl he met in South America to Germany! They are now dating and live in Russia (where she is originally from) and they continue to have adventures together. Keep up the amazing work, Adam!
id live like that too but no van....only a car & no way to stretch out to sleep! Plus I'm a bit older than Adam....I did sleep in my '54 Panel truck in 1977 & '78 but I was younger & it was freakin cold in the winter. I had a home electric heater and would pull up to an apartment bldg. and plug into a tenent's outside plug to keep the heater going. When it got too hot, my dog would tip the heater over & the safety switch would turn it off! damn dog. Good for you Adam. Keep doin what you love to do.
You can tell you shot this so unscripted, and all from the heart. I've shared this video many times on my Facebook page. I have your channel on my homepage as channels I love. You were so nice to my son, and I at the back to the future mall. My son has been playing baseball since he was 5, and just started his first year of high school, and made the high school baseball team. We know how much you love baseball. When my son met you he was 12, and said how nice you were to him at the meet up. Thank you Adam!!!
That's the exact thought I have (when revisiting videos from a time gone by). This was Dec 11, 2010-----and I know exactly what I was doing and who I was with. It goes without saying that I'd rather be there. To get all of that time back...and right some wrongs. If I had known that they'd one day be regarded as "the good ole days"----I would've slowed down and savored them a bit more (as opposed to rushing on through them so as to get to the future). Well, I'm in that future.... and I want to go back to the past. Yes, the very same past that I couldn't wait to get on through.
Love going back and watching this and seeing how far you have come 🖤 your living my dream life I always said when I was a kid I want a campervan so I can just travel around with all my dogs 😂 didn't need no friends or family just my dogs and I would be happy 🤣
wow loved ur other videos an now van dwelling cant get better ,mixing the two is great, travelling looking for places to visit and living in ur van, what a great life, being free
The Keys are so expensive and with perspective and preparation this can be a great spring board towards ones life goals. I did this but lost my perspective and got a bit desperate at the end of the six months that I did it. I have a full time job and a life time membership at a national gym. The heat is my only buggaboo, sleeping hot is tough, cold is OK with the right bag. I wish you had talked about staying clean, maybe I missed it or it's in another video. I really liked this one. Thank you
Adam was stuck in a rut. Moving from job to job no direction in life just scraping by. And now look at him. Taking that leap into the unknown. That took balls. I definitely think a book should be in order!
Good luck Adam . I spent quite a few years living in a big van in the UK working for various employment agencies. I'd sleep in laybys and pull ins at night or outside the factories where I worked. I joined a gym for the showers and had a chemical toilet and a gas stove . Great life in the summer not so hot (literally) in the fall and winter.
go man and enjoy your life. as soon as I get a kidney transplant. I. going to start living my life. life is short. go and enjoy yourself. be safe. God bless you your friend linda
The mosquito Coast, what a superb movie...motivating film, haven't watched in years...now I gotta go find it and watch. Just started watching your videos, found out about you while watching Nomadic Fanatic. Cheers and safe travels!
WOW totally impressed. Your band actually played House of Blues Hall, we missed a local band from home (supporting) whilst we were out there - one day hope my son's band will be playing there - who knows
You can only do what is right for you! Just live your life as you see fit. Forget the adversity, which it seems you have! Bravo! Some people go to Europe and back pack for years, with only what they carry on their backs! you are doing the same thing, except here in the states! Color me Jealous! I know this was 3 years ago, how are you getting along now in 2013? is it still what you want to do? I think it is time for a Part 2! Keep doing your thing Adam, it makes a lot of people happy!
01/18/2017................Man it's been a long time. Amazing how things have worked out my friend . Only wish I could have gotten my hands on the Woo Van when you sold it. It would look good beside the General Lee and the Bat Mobile in some roadside museum. Rock on buddy. Keep making your daddy proud.
Looking back on this 8 years later, it's especially interesting that one of his DVDs is the Truman Show. Relates to him for very different reasons now then it did then.
When I get older...I'm gonna be like Adam! Its amazing what he does and I idolize the guy. Most people say not to be nozy(my dad) but curiosity gets the best of me 100% of the time and thats why Ive been grounded numerous times!!! But I mean that seems like an amazing and fun thing to do so when I graduate I'm gonna hit the road
Wow, I'm watching this in October 2024, you have come a long way, put a lot of work in. 👍👍👍 You were 37. Time flies. Pink Floyd Time "Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain And you are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today And then one day you find ten years have got behind you"
A long time ago i lived on the road for a couple of years..I didnt really think so at the time but looking back, those were a couple of the best years of my life..Potty and showers are sometimes an issue but you learn to work it out..Might want to get a good CB and antenna.Sometimes you can get a trucker to let you use a fuel receipt for a free shower.
Great video dude I'm doing the same thing out of my car g though and I'm loving every minute, i got lest than two years before i get my roadtrek anf live life in it . Stay strong
I would love to do this, but right its impossible due to not having a big enough vehicle and the money to do so. If I had good credit, (which I don't) a nice RV with a bed, a toilet and a kitchenette would work nicely. I'd travel everywhere and enjoy everything. Oh and for the record you could have kept most or all of your DVD's just by tossing the case and keeping the disc in a CD holder. Its what I do with all of mine.
I'm in high school and I'm thinking of taking this route. Except i'd like to live in something roomier and more comfortable, like an RV. It's my dream to travel the country, and the world. doing this plus starting a TH-cam channel (another big dream) would really make me happy in life. They say live life how you want to live it... You truly inspired me to do that. Thank You.
I would buy one of those little TVs that flip down like you see in family vans a lot and figure out a way to wire it and mount it so you could watch movie in the back.
AHHHH! ADAM the WOO! I remember meeting u back in the day.. u used to be in a 10 new toes right???? Thats crazy im looking into van dwelling now and here u are!

Same!
Adam is what the American dream used to be all about. Work hard, dream big, and you may just succeed. It's always nice to see good people like Adam prospering.

The million van life people now on TH-cam this the OG. He did it when it was so much harder too, batteries and other innovations have made this so much easier
Popped up in my TH-cam feed. Glad I watched it. Gave me more insight into Adam’s way of thinking.

To those on the internet take notice. This is the original van life.
Yes, he is the OG van dweller
Adam truly is a pioneer
I came here after hearing you talking about this on your daily channel! 13 years ago Adam! Great vid!
You know Adam, you've come so far from this video. Extremely interesting my friend! My hat off to you.
Adam is an example of success not by wishing, but from hard work, bravely done. If i could do a Back to the Future time travel, I would tell this Adam to keep the faith. That his gamble would pay off. And it would all work out like a Disney movie.

Coming back to watch Adams old adventure videos brings back great memories.
Adam, since I am commenting 12 years later… I can confidently say your decision yielded benefits you couldn’t have imagined in 2010. Congratulations & I wish all the best in your creator business on TH-cam!
Mister B
I remember watching this video 14 years ago and thinking, this guy is so brave and totally cool.
It's been a while boss.
Thank you for being you. 💕
Adam sure has come a long way...
Watching this as a recommendation from your 2024 Thanksgiving video. You've come a long, long way. Much respect.
Checking this one out after watching your latest video! You’ve come a long way man!

So glad that you decided to follow your dreams...

Not sure why this came back into my feed after all this time. I almost forgot how Adam was back then. Still enjoying him today.
Crazy how far you have came

beautiful reply - 4 yrs ago, but still rings true.

how did you deal with the Florida heat living in your van, sleeping at night, etc ? @theDailyWoo
You've come a long way brother. God bless you and everything you do.
This is the first adamthewoo video I watched and subscribed. Can't believe it's been 9 years!
8 Years ago! Wow!... Your the man Adam 👍🏼
Wow! Adam I had no Idea you lived the van life. I've been watching your videos for about a year no just now saw this one. Cool bro!
I wish I could go back 10 years ago.
Old school Adam . Love the old day videos. Wow have you come a long way my friend.
All these years and no one has mentioned the title of the song by The New Threat? It's called "The Days" in case anyone was wondering...

Looking back on this 8 years later, it's especially interesting that one of his DVDs is the Truman Show. Relates to him for very different reasons now then it did then.
Watching the elaborate builds that people are making now doesn’t compare to the simplicity of Adam’s van.

Most people say not to be nozy(my dad) but curiosity gets the best of me 100% of the time and thats why Ive been grounded numerous times!!! But I mean that seems like an amazing and fun thing to do so when I graduate I'm gonna hit the road
W O W!!!!!!! Awesome! Today is August 17 Mr Deniros birthday 2021. You are a you tube legend! (In case we go back to the past) 👍
And now, 7 years later, he lives in Large Marge...
Ian V. Raybeck and NOW... Hollywood??? sheer rebellion.
@@zulumagoo1 And now 2019 in Orange County California and still traveling but now jet setting around the U.S 😁 Congrats Adam!
I loved large marge
Wow, I'm watching this in October 2024, you have come a long way, put a lot of work in. 👍👍👍 You were 37. Time flies. Pink Floyd Time "Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you"
Nice setup Adam. I like what you have done with it. Love your videos man.
Awesome way cool adam been watching your videos 2014 to 2024
A long time ago i lived on the road for a couple of years..I didnt really think so at the time but looking back, those were a couple of the best years of my life..Potty and showers are sometimes an issue but you learn to work it out..Might want to get a good CB and antenna.Sometimes you can get a trucker to let you use a fuel receipt for a free shower.
I'm glad you kept big the foot over the years, even without the bagpipes !!
Adam the woo you have come along way since then
Great video dude I'm doing the same thing out of my car g though and I'm loving every minute, i got lest than two years before i get my roadtrek anf live life in it . Stay strong
After seeing this I have even more respect. Your a humble guy. That's cool to see.
Wow, this was nice to see your first Vlog🌴🌺
I would love to do this, but right its impossible due to not having a big enough vehicle and the money to do so. If I had good credit, (which I don't) a nice RV with a bed, a toilet and a kitchenette would work nicely. I'd travel everywhere and enjoy everything. Oh and for the record you could have kept most or all of your DVD's just by tossing the case and keeping the disc in a CD holder. Its what I do with all of mine.
Rip, miss this dude
I'm in high school and I'm thinking of taking this route. Except i'd like to live in something roomier and more comfortable, like an RV. It's my dream to travel the country, and the world. doing this plus starting a TH-cam channel (another big dream) would really make me happy in life. They say live life how you want to live it... You truly inspired me to do that. Thank You.
I know it's a day premature but happy Birthday Adam the woo love your videos brother
You've come a long way Adam!
You are awesome bro. I am also thinking of buying a van and fixing it up with a bed and such and traveling all around the U.S
Go for it buddy! As long as you don't have commitments to anyone your free do it while you can💪☺🙏
@@ambersemona9676 thanx ✌🏻✌🏻
I would buy one of those little TVs that flip down like you see in family vans a lot and figure out a way to wire it and mount it so you could watch movie in the back.
AHHHH! ADAM the WOO! I remember meeting u back in the day.. u used to be in a 10 new toes right???? Thats crazy im looking into van dwelling now and here u are!
This video delivers the most amazing life advice I have ever gotten.
