Beginner here, I have a stupid question if I may. doesn't adding a zipper this way leave a small hole in the ends of the zipper/pouch? Or we don't worry about that.

It kind of does but not big enough for anything to fall out ☺️. And doing it this way makes it smoother on the ends and polished looking IMO.

Actually, if your zipper is shorter than the top, it won’t. The difference between the tab and the outside seam should be taken up when you sew the outside seams.
