      I’m a new Jack to the fpv community so what’s the best google for me that’s cheap and good at the same time I just got the Emax transport 2 HD for my tiny hawk 3 HD plus but I just order hummingbird 3v for $89 so I need some analog googles too ?

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Goggles are very subjective.
      EV800D is a good budget boxstyle google.
      Skyzone Cobra X is very good box goggle( a bit more expensive).
      Most advanced pilots use Fatshark Goggles for analog flying(they vary in options and price).
      If you eventually fall in love with FPV, you might want to invest in some Fatshark style goggles with HDMI inputs. This way you can easily upgrade to HDZero or Walksnail digital systems using a simple VRX.

    I’m probably the only one but i love flying fpv with a display on my radio every now and then. Its just fun doing some line of sight, then some fpv. Or handy for line of sight and flying away too far and you can easily get it back by watching on the display. Glad Emax brought this affordable goggle set out.

      Very true.. These are versatile in that sense. I'm glad they are affordable as well. Not everyone can spend 600+ on goggles.

    Great review, I fly a th2 freestyle around my yard my neighbours complained that the 5inch is too loud haha!! I borrowed my daughters goggles off her TH2 micro rtf kit with the detachable screen all stock antennas. The video signal goes all around the house which is brick and metal roofing emax makes some good stuff.

      The TinyhawkIII HDzero is pretty amazing as well. The Transporter2 HD is more of the same, and you can easily upgrade the antennas.

  • @montagdp

    I definitely like that it can be used as a monitor or goggles. What's your glasses prescription, if you don't mind me asking? I'm -5.5 (nearsighted), and usually the diopter adjustment on goggles isn't strong enough for me. This looks potentially promising since it can expand out so much. Assuming that's what the expansion is for.

  • @SunriseWaterMedia

    Great review, Thomas. I'm surprised at the range you were able to get, and penetration flying through buildings. I tried using a patch and CP antenna, with no real noticeable difference in my poor reception and interference.
    Interesting you had videos from the factory on there! Was there an SD card in the goggles already?

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Kris, I just saw your experience on Ready Set Drone. It sucks what you guys experienced. I wonder if it's your environment. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by my reception flying through that newly built house with stock antennas(both linear on the drone and goggles). I did plan to test the upgraded antennas compared to the factory ones. We'll see if I get around to it.

    • @SunriseWaterMedia
      @SunriseWaterMedia ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OneManUnmanned Yeah, our experience was definitely not great. I couldn't even tell the different between 25mW and 200mW. Whereas on the Tiny hawk 3, changing it up from the stock 25mW made a marked difference.
      After seeing yours, I'm wondering if we just got a faulty system.
      If you do get around to testing 3rd party antennas, I don't know if you'll get any better reception -- botgrinder seemed to have a similar experience with his HD Zero system using upgraded antennas.

      I haven't checked out his video yet, but I will this evening. Thanks for the heads up. I'll try some antennas this week.

    Excellent...What kind of diversity is this google have? Is there an option to fast forward/rewind the recorded video...this is helpful when finding a quad after a crash.

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know the exact diversity of the goggles as it wasn't presented at the time of filming, but my guess is probably dual antenna diversity since there are signal strength indicators in top right of the screen. Most HDZERO VRX will have quad-versity since they have 4 antennas. There is an option to fast forward and rewind in the DVR.

    a hard decision ..
    to buy this or the HDzero VRX to work as receiver for spectators..
    I guess, the Transporter2HD doesn't support HDMI over usb-c right? so it's only limited to this small screen.
    thanks for that review!

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are absolutely correct..No Video out. You could get the HDZero goggles and run a cable from the HDMI out port to a monitor. I have a video on this coming soon..Make for you check back.

    Which one do you like better compared to Dji goggles v1?

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are different tools for different needs. The HDzero system is for smooth, low latency flying(optimized for racing and proximity flying). The DJI system is optimized for image resolution, and penetration(good for bando bashing or exploration flights with obstacles/trees in between you and the drone). At this point, I would opt for the DJI goggles V2 over the V1(more capabilities) . And in my case, I would not choose between HDZ and DJI. They are just different tools. It's like taking a Ferrari off-road, when there is a perfectly good pickup truck to do the job.

    I'd be more tempted to buy these, if the screen size was 6"+ and there was HDMI out. As it is, 4.5" ain't that great and no HDMI out is a deal killer. A few inches of difference in screen size is the difference between looking at a rectangular picture image in front of you, and being fully immersed. Me, I can't stand looking at a rectangle in front of me, I have to be fully immersed.
    I have some Cyclops 5" box goggles of the same weight and I just put them on and fired up the screen and I was like... um yeah... best boxed goggles I have but um... no. Just no. I'm looking at a rectangle brick of a screen in front of me out in the distance . And that's .5" bigger!
    I wish these product shills would start telling the truth, that a lot of these products are just going to disappoint you as soon as you open up the box and put them on and your heart just sinks.

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  ปีที่แล้ว

      HDMI out would be great, to feed a large monitor or digital recorder. But it's only 230 dollars and about the price of a HDZero VRX by itself.

  • @16bit_nerd
    @16bit_nerd ปีที่แล้ว +3

    480p is way too low...230 bucks are way too much.

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's all relative... The image is 720, not 480p. The HDZERO VRX by itself cost around 220, so this $230 price is a steal for a goggle/monitor combo.

    • @olichromoly3660
      @olichromoly3660 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@OneManUnmanned The HD zero native max resolution is 1080 so why creep the googles from the start at 720? Budget yes but not for a lesser product.
