Synopsis: In the finale, the series flash-forwards 10 years, as Bruce is set to return to Gotham for the opening of the new Wayne Tower. Of course. It was never intended to be a Batman series. It's a series about the events leading up to him becoming Batman. It is ending exactly as it should, where it should in the story, and as it was always intended to end.

I've had the pleasure of watching this series from start to end on time the entire time. This is just such a fantastic farewell season of fun.. Although, I do want the cast to reunite in 2029 for a new tv movie. Although a #Netflix series rescue would be fantastic.

I have my own idea for a sequel of Gotham.
It would be called
The Dark Knight Of Gotham
It would have the cast, same crew, Same writers. But it would be centred around Batman of course.
It would be a direct continuation of Gotham, with the first season being a Batman: Year One story.
But instead of Falcone, since he’s dead. It would be Black Mask who runs Gotham, building up to The Riddler, Penguin & Joker being the real big bads of the first series as Jeremiah would finally embrace the name Joker.
By the end of the first series, the bat signal, batmobile & a better batsuit would exist.
I remember the actor who plays Bruce Wayne being in a episode of Criminal Minds where he played a blind kid who used sound move around. When he is explaining it he said: I am the the Batman.

Scarecrow heißt Vogelscheuche. Also wäre ein Satz im englischen "The Scarecrow is comming" bei uns wie "Die Vogelscheuche kommt". Dieser Satz hört sich nicht sonderlich seltsam an weil das Objekt Vogelscheuche personifiziert wird. Und diese Personifikation funktioniert immer, ganz egal welche Sprache. Als würde man einen großen Mann als "der Berg" bezeichnen. Also, nein im englischen hören sich diese Namen vermutlich nicht seltsam an (Auch wenn es bei uns cooler klingt).

is scarecrow a weird name because it doesn't sound like a real name? You mean opposed to say Batman, Catwoman, Penguin, The Riddler, Joker, Mr. Freeze, Superman, Brainiac, Apocalypse, Iron Man, Wolverine...comic book characters are really known for having names that sound like real names.

David is still playing Bruce, but we have a body double in the suit. But they are digitally editing it so Bruce's face will be under the mask. Also the only reason Selena was recasted is because the actress wanted her to be

@@aliceaccess well I'm pretty sure he won't be outside his suit at all this episode and most shots won't show his face or the front of the suit so you honestly won't even notice that he is the same actor, and when they do show the front and his face it will be mostly covered by a mask

Well, this is how you make a great series with a shity finale! They made the Joker look ridiculous show anti-climactic! I mean that is what we all really wanted to see
Jeremiah looks good chill out. Heath ledgers joker wasnt even canon to the comics, hell the way he portrayed him and that hair wasnt joker at all. And his origin wasn't accurate either. No one bitches about heath ledger but everyone criea just because this joker doesnt have hair or looks "different" this is how the joker is supposed to be and closer to comic book canon. Joker is supposed to be terrifying not a pretty boy.

I watched the finale. And I could say they could have extended it for a season. There is a comics of the whole training of Bruce (Samurai Jack Style). Plus, they could mash the ten year flash forward (Arrow style). I have no hate for the finale, I love it. I'm just saying... One last season is still viable. :)

Gotham does not have the rights to the Joker character as weird as this may seem, therefore they are not legally allowed to use his name or color his hair green (Jerome was ginger and Jeremiah's could be passed as black). I believe they made him bald so they wouldn't have to show the "green hair" but let the audience assume they'll eventually grow.
Season 4 was the worst. That ended a truly brilliant series. Crap writing. 1 2 3&5 were great.
Season 3 just ruined it for me, I stopped watching.

They should have had a complete 22 season to end this with the last 10 episodes with adult bruce/Batman! that was the only thing that was missing to this epic series! plus it would have given the villain a little more opportunities to showcase the chaos young Batman would have to face!

honestly, imma bit disappointed that David Mazouz is still playing Bruce at this point, he looks too young. Props to Camren Bicondova for giving up her role in favor of an older looking actress
DC is the one blocking us to get a Batman TV show. They think the iconic characters (Batman, Joker) are reserved for movies.
