It's interesting that both Arrow and Gotham started out with more procedural, "grounded" first seasons that avoided being too comic booky. To then throw that all out the window in their second seasons and go full comic book wacky.
The number of times the GCPD is defeated, overwhelmed, or lose control of the Police Station is astonishing. Why is this city not under martial law and the police supported by the military? Surely the governor is informed about the trouble going on in the city and asking the mayor, "Does crime own the city, or the law?!" Not to mention all the monsterous criminals that come later makes me wonder, why don't they just level the city while secretly moving the innocent people out?
Ronald Denzer: "HELP ME HELP HELP HELP!!!! The reporters: "Quick roll the camera's, he barely is off the ground so instead of popping the balloon lets just report the news!"
The show really did a great job of showing what Gotham was like before all the super villains, it was already a hot bed for crime but then penguin became the catalyst for the change in who ran the city
11:01 it’s both amazing and cleaver amazing cause Jim know it’s a explosive not cause of seeing it but the final countdown was playing and cleaver cause of butch to put the final countdown song for the explosion I know that it was dumb cause more could of died if he didn’t put it in there but it is cleaver like you gotta respect that part man I’m surprised Jerome or Jeremiah didn’t do that for their explosions

Now there needs to be a prequel showing James Gordon's & Alfred Pennyworth's training. Gordon & Alfred are kicking multiple Talon's asses in hand to hand combat, Batman has a extremely difficult time defeating one Talon. Gotham would not even need Batman until Gordon was in Gordon's 40's, plus Gordon has no issues pulling the trigger to kill, less villains.
@@moonman473 A little bit, however, it would have been nice to see Gruber, Marks, Díaz, Flass, Flamingo die given the innocent victims they made. Especially Flamingo.

Well the Army is actually called in several times and in the Final season the government basically blows all the bridges and leaves the city to rot.

@worldofdoom995 leaves them but then comes back
Lets not forget that half of the ppl that dies in this serie just comes back one episode later
In your opinion, is it possible that Larissa was killed by the Court of Owls, or, in any case, by her boss, for failing in her assignment?

I like this show’s version of Zsasz. He’s a hitman who adores his bodycount
This show is basically the TV adaptation of Grand Theft Auto
No, Is the TV version of the batman comics, but when batman was a child
