Wow! Impressive, at 20 years old and to have a shop and set up,like that. #jealous I’ll get to that point. This year was my first year in lawn care. I’m definitely interested in eventually getting a Dumper Dog dump insert.
Yeah dump trailer setup, and can you ask Alex to do a walk around of his whole shop both outside and inside? I know he's a busy man but that would be cool to see
Dump inserts seem like an expensive option when you can just get a trailer for a little more. This guy apparently makes good use of his even though he has a massive dump trailer.
U guys are AWESOME!! I appreciate all the info! I had my own Lawn care business from the time I was 10 until 21. Got out of it until I turned 47. Im now 54 and have been full time the last 7 years.
Nice to see all of you guys coming together to help those in the community. Another great video, Brian. Happy to hear how great the dump insert has been.
For those that are not quite ready to invest into a dump trailer or insert, the Brute trash cans are an option to fill, slide into the truck, and dump out quickly at the city dump, or a dump site. I keep my cans stacked in my enclosed trailer and I pull them out as needed. I have a "Bak-Flip" bed cover that folds up to the rear window for when I need to use the truck bed. If you have to hall cans for a distance from the truck, a two-wheel dolly is also a plus to have on hand.
Big shout to you for giving the younger guys some exposure!!! It speaks mounds for your character, not needing the spot light even though it's your own channel!!! That kid's going places!!! God bless you guys, and Dirty Jersey out!!!
I started a landscaping company because of you but i cant go full time because i have a pizza shop that i own with my brother im doing the landscaping 3 days a week, i hope i can slowly build it so when i sell my other buisness i can go full time in lawn care its something ive always wanted to do
Nice video Brian and Alex, I went the more expensive way and I got a Chevy dump truck with a steel, but than after I bought it I went right away and had it power coated to stop rust! It is inside the shop at night but it is exposed to the elements when it is in use and its first winter.
Great video. Only one I have seen on TH-cam finally. I have been eyeballing these 4 years now. Every year I say I am going to get one. Concerned a bit about the extra weight but it still may pay off in time savings. You need to show whats hanging around in his shop omg someone is set up!
Great rundown of equipment! It makes a difference to have someone to work with in the same field! Help one another out, and what goes around certainly comes around . Where's all the snow?
Okay I'm about to go buy one in the end of next month but I'm going to get the full packet the rollout netting everything. Thanks for the Novi lunch in it was good to catch up with everyone before I take up out of town on the Georgia
Here there is a local compost facility where you can dump everyrhing from leaves to logs for free. They make compost, mulch, wood chips etc out of it and sell it back to the community. You may want to check around and see if you have anything like that.
I spent 6,500 $ on my dump trailer 5x8 full custom built with lesco 16 hp it’s a beast love it And got a 6x12 tandem axle open trailer it’s really nice it has a toolbox side and trimmer racks on front I’m 18 and we have one car garage and 8x10 shed I do all maintenance on all equitment my truck get all mantice in house got a 05 1500 crew cab that’s a shovel truck in winter and mow truck summer 2500 hd extended cab hardscape truck / tree truck and that one goes out with dump trailer and plows driveways and lots
I'm curious if that is the highest your dump goes? The very first video you made of it you ran it up about that high too and brought it back down. It doesn't seem high enough.
You guys up there in the north had ought to think about rino-lining the undercarriage, especially with plowing and dealing with salt. It would likely be a worthy investment so that your undercarriage doesn't kill the truck before it is ready to 'go to pasture'. Obviously mileage and such has a factor in things. One should want there engine and all to give out at about the same time when having to pull the trigger and be forced to buy an expensive new truck.---My two cents. (I grew up in SD, so I do remember!)
Great video admire both you guys. I don’t know if I missed it or not did you mention the name of the dump insert that was aluminum? If one was truly better than the other.
Chris McDowell Totally agree, but I wouldn’t want to spend so much on tires for how much I drive. 50,000 miles a year, and I’m lucky to get 65,000 out of a set of tires on all my vehicles.
Nicholas K I’d love one, but first I’d need to upgrade to a 3/4 ton! Have a 08’ Dodge 1500 4.7 v8 that is my daily driver and work truck. Looking to upgrade to a regular cab 6.2 Ford F250.
@@BriansLawnMaintenance Havent had any real rust show up? That's my only concern spending less for the steel. $1700 less so it's a pretty big factor lol
That guy is 20 and owns all that equipment? Does he get help from his parents buying all that? At 20 I was had nothing close to that kind of money to buy all that stuff. Props to him, seems like a hard working guy anyway.
Why did you get a short bed truck? I had a short bed f150 and I don’t plan to ever buy a truck with a short bed. 8ft bed or flat bed all the way. In my opinion 6ft pick up beds are worthless. Lol
I think a cab guard and tarp kit being an upgrade is a bit of a cheat seeing as who can survive without a tarp? as far as I know, it wouldn't even be legal to hall debris without it being tarped.
I love having the backup camera that I installed on my truck. It makes hookups a breeze! A couple minutes here, a couple minutes there, that time all adds up. (Before all of the wise comments on not being able to hookup without a camera, the original reason I installed one was because my regular work has assigned parking with me having a 'visitor' parking spot behind mine. If someone is already parked in it, it makes it hard to gage how close I am to back up to someone's front bumper without getting out to check. With having an extended cab & 8' bed, I need to get as close as possible so as not to stick out too far.)---Nothing like keeping things simple.
Lots of liability thinking that adding leaf springs for increasing load capacity is "safe" or legal if the gross weight rating by Ford is exceeded. Be careful out there.
@@BriansLawnMaintenance never underestimate the value of a 21 mower in this biz-it should be of the highest quality just as all your other equiptment. buying a pos from home depot is false economy. a 1200$ comm toro will outlast a home depot one bt 20/1 at least. I have 1990,s toros still working.
He fixes and repairs tons of equipment. No customer ever has asked me what kind of equipment we use in a decade. They want results. If he uses a 1,200 mower or a $30 tuned up mower, what does it matter? Add something constructive. Don’t just complain to nitpick, you look like a hater.
Would you guys like to see a video on Lica’s debris loader and dump trailer setup?!
Sure...
Yeah for sure!
Obviously!
Yes
Yes!

Thanks for the time explaining the choices and reasons you went with your dump bodys. Love that garage.
Would love to see Lica’s full shop tour!
so so happy to see y'all out crushing it !! every day above the grass is a good day !!
Thank you Alex!

We have an aluminum and a steel insert we put 4 foot sides and a top on when it needs to be a chip truck. Never had a problem dumping after 5 years.

I second the debris loader and dump trailer idea Brian. I’m gonna bet there’s a few people looking for a setup like that(hmmm🤔).

Haha for sure man. I never saw any good reviews on these. No one ever took the time to film them but here ya go!
Those dump inserts are awesome! We've been considering getting one....sure would speed things up for us!
Hey that is a really nice setup you got there Alex
I wired my light bar into the cargo light wiring so when you hit that button bam! Did take the bulbs out though.
Great rundown of equipment!
It makes a difference to have someone to work with in the same field!

Where's all the snow?
To the south lol
Have you thought about a 2 camera backup camera system and mount one on headache rack for cargo visibility?
Nahh no second monitor 🤷♂️

Great video! If you can please do a pick up truck with lawn care bed setup (trailerless) thanks!
Yes leaf vac vid i own a 7x14 dump with huge walls an vacuam
Whole saw lights through each side of bumper. Clean and out of the way
That's a nice looking shop. I'm curious how he is get those plows up and down from those shelving units?
They have an on-site hilo
Dump trailer setup please
Very impressive all around. Assuming Alex learned right away to charge correctly to build a business versus just enough to make a few bucks.
I really enjoyed this video! Keep up the great work!👍👍👍
It takes a lot hard work & luck to be successful in this industry, so many people in this industry don't know what there doing at all.
Couldn’t agree more
I would do the flush mount pod lights on the bumper
Brian, thanks for the video. Do you know if the light bar bracket is in production yet? I need one!
You bet pal. Check with Buyers I’m not 100% sure, but probably!
I'm curious if that is the highest your dump goes? The very first video you made of it you ran it up about that high too and brought it back down. It doesn't seem high enough.
Tell Lica paint that bed underneath. It will stop the rust!

Hey Brian, when you getting a shop like this?
Hopefully I can build a pole barn and have one of my own.
If you were to jack knife the trailer. Would you be able to dump a load with the trailer still hooked up?
Never thought of that. It takes 60 seconds to unhook so I probably wouldn’t try it. But that’s an interesting thought.

great video, would like to meet you guys someday.

Alex is crushing it at 20!!!
Two Questions:
Does Alex have a plow truck?
Are you going to buy the Toro 518?
Yes and yes haha
@@joshslawnmaintenancellc1012 I counted 5 plows. Looks like 3 Boss on the floor and 2 Fisher's in the rack.
I'm thinking of getting the e z dump for my truck

Nice rigs but a dually would help w payload options

Nah he’s has a couple guys working for him too
Oh cool. Is Brandon that young too?
Hey does anyone know the lower width of the insert in between the wheel wells?
Great video

Quite smashing the wings they’ll come back

loved the content. I am not watching further because i got motion sick from the filming
Brian ur videos are helpi g me big time ma im tryj g to start my own lawn care and snow removal business hear in hasti gs michigan keep um co.ing man
How long does it take for them to install it and could you put a leaf box in the dump insert
It was a half day for mine
Can you add a spreader for sand and salt!
I installed plows on 2 of my 3 trucks it’s not that bad but Alex had to cut his old mounts off and I can’t say for how hard that would be
DOPE INTRO!!
Thanks bud
hockey puck stops 🤔 _nice._
Yes.
Great vid . thanks
Love the license plate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha!
Yes
Is that workshop the workshop of a larger company than yours that you work for?
Nope this is his shop.
I mounted my reverse lights to the trailer hitch/frame underneath the bed and the never got hit.
like it from cla lawncare&snow removed from dearborn mi

Same! I can't decide if I want to buy an older dedicated dump truck or buy a new chevy 2500HD and make it my daily driver with dump insert.

What happened to the backrack brian?
In the shed for now. Not sure what I’m gonna do with it
only thing I don't like about this inserts is the weight that you gotta be carry even when is empty.
you should have a truck craft alum. its the best. don't waste your time with dumpster dog
Haha that’s why the caps just smoked you guys!! I do lawn care in the Maryland area go caps
Michael valencia Lol..
Adding more leaf springs does not Legally allow you to haul more weight, it just makes your truck not squat carrying the weight.
