Today I was at the dentist office listening to my Spotify playlist on my Meta glasses. I have prescription, transition lenses, which work well, going from inside to outside and vice versa. After I was seated in the dentist chair, I switched over to my Quizlet app to start studying vocabulary for my upcoming language class. I had brought some Bluetooth headphones for that, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the audio was still connected from my phone to my glasses, so I could use the Quizlet App without needing to use headphones. Most people who have these glasses probably already know that it works that way, but I didn't and was happy to find out that it did. The other thing that I found out but didn't quite like is that when I had my phone plugged into my car and was using the Android for Auto App, when I tried to play Spotify on my glasses, it started playing it on my car speakers.
Solid, smooth review! Zukman, love it! I own the transitions and was pissed when I drove in them with no sunglass effect. I found some clip on shades (Amazon-Caxman Polarized clip on, XL) fixed that issue, don’t look like crap, and will still work with pics and videos! Totally happy with them now, except for the few cons you mentioned! Subscribed!

A new update allows you to capture up to 3 minutes now however if you're a serious filmmaker and are shooting for a client, I would actually probably do GoPro with a proper mount instead. Although the Ray-Ban's can hang, I think for a PRO option, you go with the golden standard. If you're shooting for quick social moments, sure, use the glasses. Hope this helps!

If you're only editing on your phone, I'm pretty sure you could take the clips into IG, make a reel then export it out without posting... You could do that or use CapCut (I hear good things!). let me know if you have any other questions!

I have had both the Gen 1 and now Gen 2 and they are worth the money. They are great for impromptu videos , listening to music when out and about as well as taking phone calls. Could they be better ? Absolutely, but I wouldn't be without them.

Can you trigger the AI with a touch rather than with voice "Hey Meta"? If so, how. Is there an integration with iPhone that will allow you to send an image/video via text? WOO! Thanks dude! Yes, you can trigger it by HOLDING the trackpad (I think you need to change this in settings)... this is VERY helpful as I use this very often. For your second question, no integration with iPhone other than in the meta app, you can see logs of questions asked (but not responses from the AI). As for realtime translation, I don't believe so, however what you COULD do is use the glasses to listen and use ChatGPT voice and prompt it to give you real time translation ... that could be a solution : )
Dan, did you also notice the horrible frame skips sometimes? I mean 30fps would be fine. But suddenly 1-3 frames are missing and that really kills the first person immersion.
absolutely, I recently noticed this... usually happens when you're recording 1 min+ ... this is something that NEEDS to be fixed as it's pretty brutal. Whenever it happens I'm like "COME ONNNN!"

hey there! so there's an app and you can view ALL the media via that but you can click an option where content gets auto-saved to your camera roll. You just have to adjust a setting to AUTO IMPORT and it's like magic, you shoot and content gets on your phone. easy!

I have the version before these and that music switching is a pain. I wear the glasses with air pods. When I get a call, it goes to the glasses. I have to squeeze the AP to re-direct. Sometimes, I have to go into the audio settings on the iPhone and re-route the audio.

Hey there! I would say yes (but would love more context to answer this with confidence). I will say this, there has been times when I'm doing yardwork and my hands are dirty so to pick up a call or skip a track, I've used the side of my wrist to use the touchpad... but thinking about it, I use the voice assistant often so if i HAD to use it hands-free, yes I would still get it. On Android, I don't have any issues placing calls or sending messages. In fact, you say to call someone by their first name and it knows your most commonly used contact. I wonder if iOS makes it difficult. When taking your glasses off, fold the arms and that should kill the Bluetooth connection. There is an option in settings to select when off your head they will come off.
Got covers to hide the lens light blinking and still be able to video record at the sametime
Glasses don't have the ability to replace my phone since 1/2 my time being entertained is content on places like TH-cam!

@abrahamromero3910 Do you own any pair of Ray Bam models currently whether Headliners (the model that I really wanted but would have had to wait an extra week while on order because the retailer did not have them in store available at the time that I wanted them and there was already a 3 week wait as it was) or the Wayfarer's?
I have had my Ray Ban for over 6 months, and I primarily use the camera feature for security reports...
Oh, I forgot to mention that my Ray Bans are prescription ordered...

I would really like a pair of smart glasses, and I want to know If this type of glasses has any HUD displays or anything like that? If I'm looking at something, does it actually tell me things about it and accurate way? Can other people hear the voice of the glasses?

ok so my hands don't function properly and I was super excited when i found out about the voice assistance but now im not so sure. if your hands didn't work, would you still get the glasses?
Hey there! I would say yes (but would love more context to answer this with confidence). I will say this, there has been times when I'm doing yardwork and my hands are dirty so to pick up a call or skip a track, I've used the side of my wrist to use the touchpad... but thinking about it, I use the voice assistant often so if i HAD to use it hands-free, yes I would still get it. On Android, I don't have any issues placing calls or sending messages. In fact, you say to call someone by their first name and it knows your most commonly used contact. I wonder if iOS makes it difficult. When taking your glasses off, fold the arms and that should kill the Bluetooth connection. You mean like shooting? I think it’s great for POV content. If ya mean for safety, the glasses don’t “show” you anything, everything is done via audio so using while driving is totally safe! No different than regular glasses! 😎
Eh. Dont expect transitions to work well- switch to regular polarized for that.

Hey quick question. When you take photos do they load instantly to your device or do you have to wait to be on WiFi before it loads to your phone.
hey there! I think in recent updates it can automatically get uploaded to your photo roll. however the importing process is VERY quick and pretty seamless. hope this helps!

these features are blocked outside of the US? is that confirmed? I know the AI is still in closed beta, but I'm SURE once it's public, you'll be able to use it everywhere, as long as you're tethered to your phone.
