I've had the originals and definitely the 2nd version is much better especially with meta. I wear these almost every day but I took the lenses off bc I literally just walk around with them like normal glasses.. Yep, ko lenses. Yep I've had transitions but I felt like they blocked my view when I'm indoors/stores so I took them off.. I have 3-4 other colored lenses for aftermarket (apex lenses/revant) and I usually just put them on if I'm really outdoors for a long time.. In any case love the new speakers on these more than before and yes a quick shot is what they're for. Sometimes capturing moments of my daughter in that quick instant..

hey there! so there's an app and you can view ALL the media via that but you can click an option where content gets auto-saved to your camera roll. You just have to adjust a setting to AUTO IMPORT and it's like magic, you shoot and content gets on your phone. easy!
Thanks for a fun punchy review. I ordered mine to do maybe a dozen or so clips of the jobs I do and then just stitch them together into one file maybe trimming a few of them and then post to TH-cam. No other editing. Can you suggest something that might be good for that on Android or Mac?
Hey! Thanks dude! I really only edit on Adobe Premiere on my mac. If you're only editing on your phone, I'm pretty sure you could take the clips into IG, make a reel then export it out without posting... You could do that or use CapCut (I hear good things!). let me know if you have any other questions!
hey there! I think in recent updates it can automatically get uploaded to your photo roll. however the importing process is VERY quick and pretty seamless. hope this helps!
Mate, the sound is very poor when you are in the gym, public transport, on a plane - anywhere where there is a little bit of noise. Its a pity you cannot have a clip on the arm to allow the speakers to bounce the noise into your ears. Mic is excellent though, and seems to block out all the noise other than you talking. Battery life is terrible (1 hour with music at max level, 4 hours if unused at all) and no doubt they have withheld the best version and are going to upgrade it progressively with each new issue over next few years. I would wait to buy therefore, or until Samsung, Apple or whoever enters the market
Ray Ban thinks the world should know what I'm doing with my camera. It lets the public know every time I switch it on. No other camera in the world does this other than stage cameras which let you know which is on so you can turn toward them. Only RayBan puts the needs of others ahead of the needs of it's owner. Ray Ban has woke optics that work against you not for you.
Just won a pair - pretty amazing - they also translated whatever I was looking at (English/Italian/Spanish/French/German) - was able to answer a math problem I wrote down - was able to answer a multiple choice question - hear/respond to txt msgs - make/receive calls - listen to all music apps since is basically a BT headset as well - v6 update now allows 3min vids 😎

A new update allows you to capture up to 3 minutes now however if you're a serious filmmaker and are shooting for a client, I would actually probably do GoPro with a proper mount instead. Although the Ray-Ban's can hang, I think for a PRO option, you go with the golden standard. If you're shooting for quick social moments, sure, use the glasses. Hope this helps!

Solid, smooth review! Zukman, love it! I own the transitions and was pissed when I drove in them with no sunglass effect. I found some clip on shades (Amazon-Caxman Polarized clip on, XL) fixed that issue, don’t look like crap, and will still work with pics and videos! I have two pairs of ray ban wayfarer, and I feel kind of stupid that I didn't know what these really did. Seriously for some reason I legit thought these actually did something. If you’re only able to record for 60 seconds and live stream for up to 30 minutes, why not offer a way to remotely record? Come for the camera, stay for the speakers. They are alright. Perfect for biking. Great charging case.... douno how long theyll last though about that last con.... its not gonna get fixed; it's very basic Bluetooth- they always do that and raybans activate when the right temple is folded on. Either you can kil the connection prior or just live woth it and go in your phone and set the music back to the first stereo

Can you trigger the AI with a touch rather than with voice "Hey Meta"? If so, how. Is there an integration with iPhone that will allow you to send an image/video via text? WOO! Thanks dude! Yes, you can trigger it by HOLDING the trackpad (I think you need to change this in settings)... this is VERY helpful as I use this very often. For your second question, no integration with iPhone other than in the meta app, you can see logs of questions asked (but not responses from the AI). As for realtime translation, I don't believe so, however what you COULD do is use the glasses to listen and use ChatGPT voice and prompt it to give you real time translation ... that could be a solution : )
Today I was at the dentist office listening to my Spotify playlist on my Meta glasses. I have prescription, transition lenses, which work well, going from inside to outside and vice versa. After I was seated in the dentist chair, I switched over to my Quizlet app to start studying vocabulary for my upcoming language class. I had brought some Bluetooth headphones for that, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the audio was still connected from my phone to my glasses, so I could use the Quizlet App without needing to use headphones. Most people who have these glasses probably already know that it works that way, but I didn't and was happy to find out that it did. The other thing that I found out but didn't quite like is that when I had my phone plugged into my car and was using the Android for Auto App, when I tried to play Spotify on my glasses, it started playing it on my car speakers.

There is an option in settings to select when off your head they will come off.

You just need to fold them closed. To keep it from playing on your glasses when they are off your face.

As for realtime translation, I don't believe so, however what you COULD do is use the glasses to listen and use ChatGPT voice and prompt it to give you real time translation ... that could be a solution : )

Today I was at the dentist office listening to my Spotify playlist on my Meta glasses. I have prescription, transition lenses, which work well, going from inside to outside and vice versa. After I was seated in the dentist chair, I switched over to my Quizlet app to start studying vocabulary for my upcoming language class. I had brought some Bluetooth headphones for that, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the audio was still connected from my phone to my glasses, so I could use the Quizlet App without needing to use headphones. Most people who have these glasses probably already know that it works that way, but I didn't and was happy to find out that it did.
The other thing that I found out but didn't quite like is that when I had my phone plugged into my car and was using the Android for Auto App, when I tried to play Spotify on my glasses, it started playing it on my car speakers.

Good question. I don’t think it’s possible as WHEN you stream, you’re streaming compressed video. That’s my take.

@@stevencarrier5060 hah! yeah! I mean, again I would prefer the option to go horizontal as well, but a workaround would be to just crop in post and then up-res the footage OR do the crop than add grain, stylize it and make it look funky 🙃

I was using the standard size ones. I tried them both on and the size difference is negligible. I wouldn’t overthink it, standard is fine 😎
The rayban web site has only xl available, I really want to order. There isn't much of a difference in the size in the two?

Ha! Thanks so much! What a compliment! Yeah! I think they could work for that, just keep in mind you’ll have to break your clips up into one minute segments (unless your going live with it)
