  • Many people wonder what the best time to exercise is. It really depends on your goals. One recent study showed that morning exercise contributes more to fat loss than other times of the day. Another recent study showed that afternoon exercise appears to best increase your lifespan and decrease your risk of death from heart disease and other causes. Here's the thing. You don't have to exercise at 4 in the morning, like I am now, or lift weights at lunchtime like I do almost every day. Pick whatever time you're most likely to exercise at all.
