Valerie Coleman plays Fanmi Imèn at 2018 Convention NFA Gala Concert

A new work, commissioned by the National Flute Association for its High School Soloist Competition, as performed by the composer herself with Cameron Hoffman on piano. The video catches only the end of Alexa Still's brilliant reading of Maya Angelou's poem, "Human Family", for which the piece is named.
