Cheers for the Video clip! Excuse me for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you thought about - Millawdon Future Ticket Trick (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a great exclusive guide for teaching children to read minus the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my old buddy Taylor after many years got cool success with it.

Melissa Leyva Melissa, please please please get a second opinion about speech therapy from a speech therapist who does an evaluation on your child. Research supports that it is NEVER too early to begin speech therapy, I have seen as young as 6 month olds for speech therapy early intervention and most of the kids I see are between 1 and 3 years old. If you are in the U.S., every state has an early intervention program that serves birth to 3 year olds. If you look up "early intervention speech therapy (and your state)" in google, you will find how to contact them. You can refer your own child for services and they will take it from there. It is normally free or they may bill your insurance. Please let me know what you decide to do, but as a speech therapist who has seen AMAZING progress in early intervention, it is never too early to start. Honestly, I recommend that you call today and get the ball rolling so that you can get services by the end of this calendar year. You could have a therapist like me come to your home and give suggestions that are tailored to your child specifically.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us!!! My son is 2 1/2 and he still can’t say sentences. His pediatrician says he’s mentally fine that he doesn’t have any disabilities but I’m his mom and I’m with him 24/7 and he’s my second child so right away I knew he was going to have speech problems... it’s so hard trying to get him to sit down and read or participate in something that has to do with learning

I used a lot of these tips by the time she was 1. I started reading from birth, but found these tips really helpful. I feel like she picked up words a lot faster from these tips.My daughter is now 26 months old. She now speaks in complete sentences and has started "reading" books by mimicking exactly how I read multiple books that she has memorized. So, I wanted to thanks for the tips!

I would encourage new mums who don't find the time to read books for a toddler and of course because they don't really make it easy, just teach them as you doing your everyday things like dressing up the child you can name every item as you dressing him or her up, and if you are in the kitchen cooking you give them pot and spoon and the vegetables or the fruits that you have in your fridge and you start teaching the child the name of the veggies and the fruits, I tried that with my both boys and they have learned so much plus it does keep them busy playing, by the way when I started doing it with my first kid, I was new mum everything was new for me I was just trying anything I had no idea what it will work but every body was so amazed how much my children learn from a such little age ,they picked up so much.

Thank you so much for this video! I’ve tried it with my 9 months old and we finished 2 books albeit they were small/short pic books! But it works to make the little sounds and be excited while telling them what’s in the book.

This is a great video. Thank you so much for sharing this. My daughter goes to speech therapy. She is in the spectrum and has linguistic oddities. I used a lot of methods that are in the videos, and they worked! It requires tonnes of creativity but definitely beneficial to help the child improve his/her speech.

Really enjoy your ideas. I do feel using ASL signs for the words, particularly for hearing impaired children would be a tremendous improvement.

You are so welcome Michelle! Do you have other questions about your 16 month old? At my website, you can get my speech milestones checklist sent to you, that may help you figure out what skills your child has accomplished and what skills are coming up next. www.learnwithadrienne.com. Hope that helps!
