If I become a toddler again, I'd thrill to sit with you and learn. Your voice and tune attracts me... Now I have some clues about how to use the books I have. Thanks a bunch

My 3yo loves Thunder Trucks. I highly recommend it if your sons love trucks. Another one that my truck loving daughter loved when she was younger was Search and Find Things That Go (great book for repetition & speech development too).
My 10mo has trouble focusing on books, but the three books she likes and is able to sit for are: Where does Pig Live? (she’ll sit for this one anytime) and for bedtime: If My Love Were a Fire Truck and Don’t Push the Button, Let’s Say Goodnight.
Also, I love your channel and am definitely going to use these strategies to encourage my baby to like books more. Thank you!

Hi, Adrienne! Thank you for introducing how to help kids read books. I love this content and I will recommend your channel to my 2 years old nephew. And I really agree that young kids are difficult to sit down and concentrate on the books. So I feel like repetition is really effective because kids would be familiar to the meaning and sounds unconsciously. And parents can increase the level and number of words depends on the kids' learning.

Hi, Adrienne! I am so glad that you are back and making videos again! I love all the content from your channel and I find it so useful, as I am a mama of a 17 months little boy. Please, can you make a video of how to read a book to a toddler before bedtime on evenings? Thank you so much!

Thanks for sharing. Am a parent with twins of 3years with delayed speech. I have learnt a lot from your videos on how to help my kids pick up with speech and language. May God bless you dear.

    Dear Adrienne,
It is so nostalgic for me to watch your videos. I found you when my elder daughter was a baby and I used some of your strategies when I was reading to her. She is 3 now, her language skills are excellent. Her favourite book these days is Bramby Hedge (mine too 🙈). I truly believe that reading to your baby/toddler every single day makes a massive difference.
I also have a six-month-old baby girl, so your video was a wonderful reminder of how to start. With her we are reading The hungry little caterpillar.
Thank You for sharing your knowledge and experience 💕

I couldn't have put it better myself. Nostalgic. My eldest is 2.5 now and her language skills were very much informed by all of Adrienne's videos and now I have an 8 month old baby and am rewatching videos and excited about the new ones coming out.

Thank you for the new videos! My daughter is 2 and half and our favorites are books with good rhymes like Abracazebra, The Knight who Wouldn't Fight (storybook Knight), The Gruffalo and If I Built a House. And now that I have a 8 month baby, we are going back to board book favourites like brown bear, brown bear, my friends, five little monkeys and sometimes I like to curl up in a ball.

That was very helpful. I like the idea of building from just 1 word, then 2 words, etc. Thank you!

Yes! You got it!! 🤩 Stay one word ahead of where they are currently successful. It gives them a great model and is more attainable for them to imitate than a huge long sentence 🤍

Hi Adrienne! I love your channel, I find it very useful! I would like to ask you a suggestion about repetition.
We are Italian but I am also trying to speak English to my 15 month old baby so that he can learn this second language. When we read the books indicating the names, you suggest saying the name in Italian and then immediately in English (for example: gatto-cat, palla-ball, girasole-sunflower, etc) or to separate the two readings in Italian and English in different moments?

Hi, Adrienne! i love your videos! It gives me a lot of thinking. if I read books when my little one is eating or occupied with something, would it distract them? let's say he is sitting still and playing with his favorite toy
if a baby cannot sit with us. that means he is not looking at the picture. that led to another problem what we said was not quite easy for them to understand since they are not looking at the pictures. how can they make the connection in this way? thanks!

I meant to respond to you sooner! This video of mine explains why it is totally fine if a child doesn't sit still while reading. Hope this helps! th-cam.com/video/MHYtoxgM6zI/w-d-xo.html

So glad it is helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting, Dee Dee! (P.S. when we were little, my brother couldn’t pronounce Adrienne, so he called me “Dee Dee” for years). So whenever I see your name, it brings back great memories of childhood ☺️🤍

@@LearnWithAdrienne aww that's very sweet! yes, dee dee is easy to say for a toddler.. I am an SLP and my real name, Deanna, was difficult for my kiddos, but dee dee is reduplication, right ! ;) so it's super simple, and now they all say dd quickly! I am planning to take your course. It helps me so much as an addition to what I already know and teach, and I share your wonderful pintables to all my families to support what I am teaching! TY for being so wonderful!

Do you have any tips on teaching kids how to read? My toddler just turned 4 and she can read most of the alphabets but mostly capitals and not small letters. I’m not sure where to start. Thank you! I love your videos!!
