Unfortunately, Textor is the classic American owner who does not care about football or the fans. He has done a dozen transfers between the 4 teams he owns (Lyon, Crystal Palace, Botafogo, Molenbeek). Another example of what’s going on is how the club treated our starting GK for the past 10 years, Anthony Lopes. He was a Lyon ultra growing up and he always gave everything for the team, played really well, but he was very outspoken and rumors said Textor wanted to take power away from the influential players with Lyon origins (nicknamed as the Gang des Lyonnais), as they care deeply about to the team and were not just silent employees. So this summer, they cut him from the team, for no apparent reason. Our new GK is talented, but true Lyon fans didn’t forget what the board did to a club legend who was bleeding red and blue. Alfie with the recent news that MARK ROBINS is to be replaced by FRANK LAMPARD!
It got me thinking, what are the greatest managerial downgrades in history?
Would love to see what you come up with on this front! Is Coventry's change even as bad as I think? Are there some examples where an initial downgrade has actually ended up working out for the better for club and manager?
I put some Lyonnais on my sandwich the other day, it was delicious
I wonder if we're going to get a new what on earth is going at Hull City Vid after the sacking of the manager?
what on earth is going on at boavista youtube boy
thought you were going to do man city, Alfie. Surely that's got to be coming soon, right?
I'm an american tottenham supporter and one thing I know is levy will not allow the club to be in such a video/discussion... just please win a trophy :(
When I grew up Lyon what IT. I even had a Juninho jersey after I saw him score that freekick vs Bayern…. Just said…
Video on the amount of times football fans say “sack the board” and if it’s even successful or not
Could you do a "the Ghanaian national football team gone to shit"
Vincent Lebron
Is this a PSG Video?
Not the first and won't be the last French club to go this way. Bordeaux, Sochaux so far. Now Lyon
31:00 Hi Alfie, you can’t tell us how PSG has screwed league economics, then appear not to understand the need to offload more expensive players.
Everything you explain after that are actions of an Asset Manager. Manoeuvring figures around or off a page. No emotional attachment and a ‘moneyball’ style of thinking without any apparent strategic purpose in football.
At the end of the day (in the view of this owner) this is all about making money, not winning leagues, trophies, et al…
Day 1 asking for a video about Phil Foden and the England NT
Talking about hull city😂😂 my boy mcguinness got you
"When I last talked about them" ❌
"When I last spoke about them" ✅
You talked more about PSG than Lyon
To a Yorkshireman much of this video sounds like you are bemoaning the chronic mismanagement of Lyon FC by your missus
What on earth is going on at Swindon town?
This is literally the French Valencia big city club that was great in the 2000s that now is going to shit because of the lack people in charge
Why I follow EFL. All top 5 league clubs are run like a drunk stripper bar patron. There’s a few that hold their budget, but that’s a very small set of clubs.
Sounds incredibly like KV Ostende, who was also owned by an American investment fund & built a basketball arena & went bust this June!
It is now time for you to talk about the Welsh premier league and prosiect Cymru. recently the 4 Welsh clubs in the efl have presented plans to join the Welsh league cup so that they can achieve European qualification, is this a first step to the big 4 moving to the Welsh league?
