Italian stadiums, even tho outdated, all have something a little bit unique about them
You video doesn't mention the actual major roadblock: for the national cultural commission every facility that is 60 years old or more has the same cultural significance as a monument. In practice it means that the very shape/design of a stadium of at least 60 years old or more cannot be altered. This creates absurd renovations like the Stadio Franchi's ongoing renovation project, that will essentially build a new stadium inside the old, preserved stadium (see the videos here on TH-cam about it). There are also few more renovation projects in the approval phase right now: AS Roma rebooted their project for a new stadium in a different part of the city, and SS Lazio just a few weeks ago started the bureaucratic procedure to grant permissions to proceed with the renovation of the now abandoned Stadio Flaminio located just a few kilometers away from the Stadio Olimpico. Atalanta also already owns their stadium. Also the grammar at 2:12 is not italian: Estadio dela roma -> Stadio della Roma

Well Arsenal and City also have modern bowl spaceship completely new stadiums. There's no trace of Highbury nor of Maine Road left in them. And the LaLiga modernized stadiums are still in the same footprint as they were before, and with several of the same stands, just modified. This is a good approach.
@carlosnn8150 Arsenal's and City's stadiums were built in mid 00's and thus are pretty outdated. The best thing you can say about them is that they look decent. Definitely not "sleek modern". The approach to design and construction of stadiums has changed fairly notably thoughtout the last two decades and you can say without any doubt that Emirates and Eitihad belong to the previous era. On the other hand, Metrapolitano and Anoeta were comissioned in 2017, Bernabeu in 2023 and San Mames in 2013. Camp Nou will be completed by summer 2026. Let's be honest, these stadiums present a whole new generation and look way more modern. In England only Tothenham Stadium belongs to this generation, which is the point I'm making.
@Rainmakeroffire they do look a bit outdated compared to 10s to today yes, but compared to 20th century they are modern, specially to 20th century English, and most specially compared to Highbury and Maine Road. NWHL is not that different btw, aside from façade and single tier end, it's almost the same universal modern Estadio Da Luz bowl. As for the LaLiga stadiums, all of them but San Mames are modernizations of existing structures, even Metropolitano which was a modification of the abandoned Peineta project that was contingent on Spain getting the 08 or 12 olympics. And you can see that clearly, of the LaLiga stadiums mentioned, only San Mames (and to lesser degree Metropolitano) is yet another carbon copy of Estadio Da Luz - only difference is the façade. (As always façade the only difference between these newbuilds aside from maybe a couple more/less degrees of inclination in some, and maybe some different concourse/hospitality arrangements; and people dare say it is a whole new design, seriously how ridiculous.)
@wt4555 yeah that's very true cause take Madrid for example if the anthem is being sung the stand where everyone is on white that is the only place you hear few noise and the stadium is mostly quiet says @fiago
i love Serie A stadiums, they look so much better than the cookie cutter generic stadiums of Germany and England, also, a stadium shouldnt have a roof and ill die on this hill
I do like some aspects of Italian stadiums that I hope they keep, however also hope they can modernize some parts (some have terrible views to the pitch), plus roof simply means more attendance money bc less people will fear getting rained on, so yeah it will happen to all eventually

You call that bad? *Laughs in Balkans*
Laliga has the best stadiums
It is mostly fine
Bundesliga clubs also has proper stadium, also more fans than tourist.
@wt4555 yeah that's very true cause take Madrid for example if the anthem is being sung the stand where everyone is on white that is the only place you hear few noise and the stadium is mostly quiet says @fiago
serie a stadiums are extreme garbage 😂😂😂
Canciopoli scandal
The mafia own yhem thru the local council.
It’s pronounced “Serie Ah”
Pk in italia siamo alla frutta
i love Serie A stadiums, they look so much better than the cookie cutter generic stadiums of Germany and England, also, a stadium shouldnt have a roof and ill die on this hill
I do like some aspects of Italian stadiums that I hope they keep, however also hope they can modernize some parts (some have terrible views to the pitch), plus roof simply means more attendance money bc less people will fear getting rained on, so yeah it will happen to all eventually
serie AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ffs!
It is one of the reasons why I don't watch Serie A. I can't bare looking at those stadiums,so old, ugly and super outdated. The running tracks on many of those stadiums 🤢🤮. The municipal councils needs to sell them to private investors or the clubs.
Those "ugly" stadiums are still better than whatever stadia are in your neck of the woods 😂😂😂😂
Serie A is just bad. It's everything wrong in football.
Serie A is the best league in the world
Love them this way, hope they don t turn them all in Malls
