it looks like a few stadiums are going to be rebuilt for the upcoming World Cup or Euro. Bologna and Fiorentina for example. The rendering of those were looking outstanding. There's also Milan & Inter who in the near future will have a new stadium.
hopefully the new stadiums will revive the glory of the italian football.

Apologies but how on earth have you made this video and failed to mention Atalanta? Atalanta purchased the Stadio from the local council, parts of the stadio were rebuilt incredibly quickly, bought in American Co-Owner Stephen Pagluica who also owns the Boston Celtics, and won the Europa League. You literally mention local councils, development time, American ownership and the potential success that could bring. Overall your right, the rest of the league is way behind and for the reasons you outlined, but to not even mention Atalanta once in this is criminal.

I like the diversity of Italian stadium, absolutely hate the ones with the running track, but essentially all the stadiums are unique, somehow, whereas we keep getting more and more of the same "industrial" stadiums, like Everton's new stadium, if you look at the stands you couldn't figure out if it's Everton or Hoffenheim or Heerenven. Italian stadiums, even tho outdated, all have something a little bit unique about them

You video doesn't mention the actual major roadblock: for the national cultural commission every facility that is 60 years old or more has the same cultural significance as a monument. In practice it means that the very shape/design of a stadium of at least 60 years old or more cannot be altered.
This creates absurd renovations like the Stadio Franchi's ongoing renovation project, that will essentially build a new stadium inside the old, preserved stadium (see the videos here on TH-cam about it).
There are also few more renovation projects in the approval phase right now: AS Roma rebooted their project for a new stadium in a different part of the city, and SS Lazio just a few weeks ago started the bureaucratic procedure to grant permissions to proceed with the renovation of the now abandoned Stadio Flaminio located just a few kilometers away from the Stadio Olimpico.
Atalanta also already owns their stadium.
Also the grammar at 2:12 is not italian: Estadio dela roma -> Stadio della Roma

@@TheFarPostYT i like the gewiss getting the ends closer to the goal lines, however they perhaps could have kept some of the original curvature at the corners (not make it a bowl, just not have it look so disjointed), and specially they should have kept a more traditional façade in the newer areas as it clashes with the older one (or somehow blend in both). Still, way ahead of most of Italy.

It can’t be only bureaucracy, lacks of funds, logistical issues, bad politics, unfortunate events and so on so on.
The main reason behind this circus is the typical Italian mentality based on “Yes, whatever. It’s not important now, we’ll fix that later. I mean, later later, very later”, or: “Oh, but that’s not my responsibility. That’s his fault, not mine”.
Bureaucracy , money missing and political changes can delay a project for how long? 3 years? 5 years?
But if we’re talking about DECADES, that can only mean one thing: whoever is in charge of paperwork, authorizations, organization, doesn’t give a flying shit about what he’s supposed to do as a job.
That peculiarity of Italian public employees being careless, ignorant, average, slow, pretending - to - be - slick and smarter than the others is one of the major cancers devouring that joke of a nation that Italy is becoming.

Italia 90 world cup stadiums were more or less the best or "ideal" stadiums for that era. They were designed and built during the 80s when football in television was almost non existent, stadiums were always full despite the poor view, distance from the pitch or no covered tiers and when even in Germany and Britain there were stadiums with athletic tracks (like the old Stamford Bridge or most of the german stadiums). Unfortunately, we are stuck in that era also because municipalities own the stadiums. Exceptions are Atalanta, Bergamo, Juventus, Udinese. It's time to accelerate this renovation process.

There are 3 big problems: one that Italy is very outdated and that they make everything very historic. For example they made the San siro a historical site and can’t be destroyed. Two that it takes soo much time to acquire the stadium from the government or just get the permits and stuff to build a new one. And three that there’s a requirement that to get to the new stadium 50% of the capacity has to be able to be reached by public transport, and this means that the government has to build infrastructure to accommodate and obviously they don’t want to spend money. Plus you also need to build a green area next to it because of environmental reasons. The best example is the new Venezia stadium. It’s all green and they’re building a basketball court as well

Italian fans view the importance of games differently from most European fans. I remember playing Juventus in a champions league group game in Italy and their stadium seemed empty. I was told that their fans don't care about the group stage as the expect to qualify. So most fans won't go out their way on a weekday night to watch a game against a smaller club. They only start filling the stadium when they are in the knockouts. It was like the group stage was simply a qualifier

I belive we can trace similarities with other countries, Brasil for example should be one on pair with the Premier league, but it isn't. Some Big 12 clubs don't own their own stadiums, and one of them has a huge debt because of the stadium. Things are changing though, clubs are building their own stadiums and earning from festival rents, but fans are complaining of gourmetization of Football and tickets prices. So is always a double edged sword, if clubs want sucess, fans must pay more and clubs must gave them proper infrastructure, but to do it the must have a better administration, as example look at Botafogo and Palmeiras cases.

"Sleek modern arenas of the Pemier League" 😂😂 Tottenham stadium is litetally the only one that falls under such a definifion 🤣 Then you proceed with "historic yet polished La Liga stadiums" - which is how you actually should refer to the EPL stadiums.
As for La Liga, they have Metrapolitano, Bernabeu, San Mames and Anoeta + the New Camp Nou will be completed by 2026. This chatacterizes "sleek modern" way better. I think you mixed up the definitions.

Well Arsenal and City also have modern bowl spaceship completely new stadiums. There's no trace of Highbury nor of Maine Road left in them.
And the LaLiga modernized stadiums are still in the same footprint as they were before, and with several of the same stands, just modified. This is a good approach.

@carlosnn8150 Arsenal's and City's stadiums were built in mid 00's and thus are pretty outdated. The best thing you can say about them is that they look decent. Definitely not "sleek modern". The approach to design and construction of stadiums has changed fairly notably thoughtout the last two decades and you can say without any doubt that Emirates and Eitihad belong to the previous era.
On the other hand, Metrapolitano and Anoeta were comissioned in 2017, Bernabeu in 2023 and San Mames in 2013. Camp Nou will be completed by summer 2026. Let's be honest, these stadiums present a whole new generation and look way more modern. In England only Tothenham Stadium belongs to this generation, which is the point I'm making.

@Rainmakeroffire they do look a bit outdated compared to 10s to today yes, but compared to 20th century they are modern, specially to 20th century English, and most specially compared to Highbury and Maine Road. NWHL is not that different btw, aside from façade and single tier end, it's almost the same universal modern Estadio Da Luz bowl.
As for the LaLiga stadiums, all of them but San Mames are modernizations of existing structures, even Metropolitano which was a modification of the abandoned Peineta project that was contingent on Spain getting the 08 or 12 olympics. And you can see that clearly, of the LaLiga stadiums mentioned, only San Mames (and to lesser degree Metropolitano) is yet another carbon copy of Estadio Da Luz - only difference is the façade. (As always façade the only difference between these newbuilds aside from maybe a couple more/less degrees of inclination in some, and maybe some different concourse/hospitality arrangements; and people dare say it is a whole new design, seriously how ridiculous.)

i love Serie A stadiums, they look so much better than the cookie cutter generic stadiums of Germany and England, also, a stadium shouldnt have a roof and ill die on this hill

I do like some aspects of Italian stadiums that I hope they keep, however also hope they can modernize some parts (some have terrible views to the pitch), plus roof simply means more attendance money bc less people will fear getting rained on, so yeah it will happen to all eventually

It is one of the reasons why I don't watch Serie A. I can't bare looking at those stadiums,so old, ugly and super outdated. The running tracks on many of those stadiums 🤢🤮. The municipal councils needs to sell them to private investors or the clubs.
