Playing in the Sugar Bowl at 8-4 seems wild for some reason. Imagine looking at their season as an outsider where they finished 8-5 and someone tells you they played in an NY6 game.
With Alabama in the playoff, the Sugar Bowl had to select the next best SEC team due to conference obligations. Georgia wasnt good yet and LSU/ UF both had 4 losses as well.
@@TheEnglishDictonary there is no obligation on the particular team unless its the champion and the champ isn’t competing in the playoff. at that point they could pick from the three 4 loss teams.
I remember that 2016 Houston team They beat OU and Lamar’s Louisville and were close to if not in the top four halfway through the year and would have made it if they ended up unbeaten
Bowl games were bad enough when you had all the draft talent sitting out, the transfer portal has made them even worse. I’m surprised they haven’t started losing money on these games due to lack of interest.
@@scotttildyou don’t think nostalgia will keep them around? One thing I could see putting final nails in the coffin is starting an under-bracket tournament among the next 16-24 teams beyond the main 12 (like lower divisions do)
@@conservatronbowl games will still be around. It has become, and only will continue to be, a glorified exhibition match. Nah you are mistaking that 2016 Auburn team for the 2017 Auburn team who lost against Georgia in the SECCG and came out with a lackluster performance vs UCF who beat them.
Auburn being ranked 14th with an 8-4 record is wild

@lilboypeep wouldn't UF make it as a 9-4 vs an 8-4. Auburn would go 8-5 is they played CCG vs alabama in all likelihood

They are all going to end in a couple years when the playoffs get going. Anything not in the playoffs is just not happening any more.

You should do a video where you take all of your content/scripts from
Grayson McCall was crazy in 2020-2021 kind of sad he fell off hopefully he comes back strong
how do you not include the 2022 citrus bowl when LSU won 63-7?
clearly you remember that game which contradicts the established purpose of the video
You should do a video on 10 things you’d do if you were the commissioner of CFB to fix the sport.

Honorable mention: Texas beating Georgia 28-21 in the all state sugar bowl
i remember that. georgia had like 60% of their starters held out & that one texas QB said texas is back in the interview haha

Missed the 2016 orange bowl fsu vs Michigan. Great game that no one remembers
Bro, OSU in the Rose bowl the year we missed the playoff was a classic. Bad miss dawg
As an oklahoma fan I remember every single one of them games and was in attendance to all 3 of them lol
something else about that oregon oklahoma game is that bob stoops was the interim in that game

Yeah I was at that Pitt-Miami game as a Miami die hard.. not the best of times to think back on
when we were 10-0? … that was tough
UCF was so close to going 26-0 😭
My favorite was the Tangerine Bowl
Minnesota vs Penn State game still kills me
Casey Thompson is a Mystery 😂 he fooled Texas fans
Man i think UCF could've beaten LSU if McKenzie Milton didn't get injured
Believe me I didn’t forget about CCU vs Liberty. How did we sell that hard? And now they got our coach smh
liberty was a 15-14 L @ NC State from being unbeaten entering that matchup. 2-1 vs ACC that year.
Ohio state has never missed a new year six bowl? God damn
2015 Fiesta Bowl Ohio State beats Notre Dame 44-28
The new playoffs gonna suck… 12 team playoffs all the good schools are in mega conference and u can actually see a team play each other 3x that year
McCall is just 22 so not surprising he’s still in school.
Big 12 no defense
Can u make a part 2 of this
