This song is the BOMB, this was my song in the 70's. That BASS is BAD ASS. Parliament rules - Excellent dance music. Instead of this SHIT we have now. You all got it going on. THANX.
I remember when this came out...they would come out with an album every November. Good times, aaah, good times. Now this is funk. Playing real instruments. People today will be looking at their instruments like Marvin Berry did in Back to the Future saying wow, I didnt know instruments could do this...lol! Famous line: Could this be me immersed in funk so deep...lovin' it!
The masterpiece of the funk era. George Clinton, Bernie Worrell, Bootsy and Catfish Collins unleashed the funk and we will never be the same ever again.
George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic bands lifted the spirits of a whole generation of teens in the black community of the 1970s, which took the edge off the difficulties that generation was facing. Thanks George!
This song reminds me of my baby brother Micheal...he used to blast this on our stereo speakers at home when our mom was out of town and the whole neighborhood would break out and dance...RIP MICHEAL...POETRY777
I've been funkin with this Jam since it's release in September of '79. I was 16 years old then I'm 54 now & I'm still rollin' with da funk P-Funk never gets old, because Funk is always ready to roll!😎
Another odd thing about this song. Phillipe Wynn just happened to stop by the studio as they were recording this(Him and Bootsy were old friends and He almost joined Funkadelic back in 1973, but went to the Spinners instead. And the rest is history........
Had the privilege of catching a showing inside a beer garden, back in early 90's in Ybor, Fl... True funk never goes away.😁👍🏻 Get down with the funk, everybody loves the funk.
One of the greatest songs of all time. RIP Bernie Worrel! This song from 1979 influenced and even created thousands of new genres and musicians. Something about their music is truly magical. Good to your earhole.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHHAAA she's the freak of the week! man I'm only 27 but I was raised listening to funk. I was on of those kids that would pull out my grandfather's records and sit in front of the big tower speakers and vibe . this is my all time favorite song.
1979 Late summer, early fall. We use to rock this song in Frankfurt & Aschaffenburg Germany, where I was stationed. This was a last dance Club closer. Sweat n Wet!! Youngin's today don't know about that type of having fun partying.
Oh man when I heard this come on while watching straight outta Compton instantly thought of all those loonies dancing in good burger and almost busted out laughing in the theater
+Gerardo Reyes if u can scream over the movie I wanna watch it too it was pretty good tamed it down and made em all out to be good guys though not saying they weren't but they made all of em real goody goody but hey that's Hollywood oh man after the movie saw a janitor and I was like oh shit it's Jerry
this is so fantastic!!! I feel so sorry for this generation because unless you or your parents grew up with this kind of music, they will never truly know good music. Thank you so much!!!!
Seen the man himself perform this live in his underwear in Malibu back in 08 brother still has it. I recall leaving the show at around 1:30 cu. I just figured this shit won't stop any time soon lol I want to be his age and still going hard. Rock on Gerorge!
I MISSED THIS TIME ITS TO BAD I COULDNT CLEAN TO THIS MUSIC BUT I HAVE THE PRIVILEGE TO HEAR IT AS A LITTLE GIRL! I CAN TELL PARENTS TODAY ,PLAY THIS TO THEIR KIDS SO THEY CAN KNOW WHAT GOOD MUSIC IS!

Andrew VanWyngarden (of MGMT) was randomly asked by an interviewer on the streets who he wanted to play the halftime show and Andrew said George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic and the interviewer was like "I don't know who that is." haha
Just seen George Clinton/Parliment in his farewell concert here in Detroit on 7/22/18 at Freedon Hill. I will always remember it. Lit from the moment he stepped that stage and until he left. Knee Deep will be my fave we had the 12” and this was the only song we played at my birthday when i turned 5!!!!! Funk on GC 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I was a 8 year old, this music liberated me from the other music kids in England were listening to. Got me dancing something my teenage self was forever grateful for.

I'm old enough to remember the first car entertainment system. You could place 5 or 6 45 inch records in the box start your engine and off with favorite date!😂 pain through replacing after one meet everybody predicted we were lose, we won. We had enough money after that to buy a 6 pack of Olympic Beer and a fifth that cheap rot gut Booms farm apple wine our discussion not about girls and Graduation, but would George Clinton get mad if we just called all his bands "george clinton bands" You know he had four bands: Parliament-Funkadelic, Parliament, The Parliaments and Funkadelic. It was deep. By the finish of the 6 pack Olympic, especially the Boone's Don't think we ever came out with an answer. But good times at 65, seems like yesterday
every cookout, old head gathering, family reunions. good times. love the 15 minute version.
