- You ain't never seen glaciers like these! At long last, we've escaped temporary confinement in Smithers and are once again pressing northward. We've linked up with our friends Christian, Andrea & Nacho to do some exploring. Our destination, BC's majestic Salmon Glacier, buried within the majestic coastal mountains. Here, we'll spend a few nights and days basking in the glory of ancient ice, abandoned gold mines ... and doing a little boot and bum skiing! Enjoy the views. Enjoy the laughs.

When a person is breathing their last (and it comes for us all), they don't say stuff like "I should have worked on Sundays." or "I took too many vacations." Great to see you moving again and here is to sending positive vibes for no breaking down for a while. We’re going sailing in a week so let’s hope we don’t have too many problems ourselves. Absolutely stunning videography....Majestic indeed!! Found myself looking at Real estate Close to Hudson Bay Mtn (formerly Smithers ) Coming closer to retirement and not sure yet where I will call home base....but after seeing whats close to Smithers for adventure...its on my radar ( thank you) I am a skier and snowboarder...summer kiteboarder and my idea is to do a truck conversion similar to your friends rig....As for the Narrator....(Top Notch) p.s Glad you had to wait for your new Camera equiment....( lol....) but in all honesty I am NOT alone...Cheers, Warmest of regards 1000 islands Canada

EPIC shots. Often have said before we travel in retirement (8-10 years) i need to get some drone skills, as it greatly enhances travel experience. This vid displays that SO well. Excellent stuff.

These videos are awesome, but I’m wondering if your view metrics might improve if they were a little less long? Just a thought. How does a vlogger choose the ideal video length? Wishing the best ❤
Perhaps, but I think it's more to do with other factors. Every creator needs to figure out how much of what they create is for them and how much is for the audience. I find 15-20 minutes gives me enough time to tell the story I want to tell and I can get enough footage to fill that 20 minutes in the 5 days of shooting that I usually have for each video. If I create an engaging enough video, the time that it takes to tell the story shouldn't be as much of an issue any longer.

I’m from just outside Hazelton in kispiox bc, you would’ve passed through here going to the mitten main on through the 37, if I’m correct I actually saw your van in Smithers when I went to get groceries and told my wife that’s what we need except a bigger van 👍🏾 we have 5 children and are outdoors people 👍🏾

I been following your content for the last year. Definitely can tell a difference with the sharpness of the camera. What canon did you have and what camera did you swap it for? The sharpness of her in front of the snow cave is the sharpest shot I have seen thus far.
I had a Canon R8 and by no means was it a bad camera. I would have continued to shoot with it and been perfectly happy if it wasn’t for the malfunction. That said, Sony seems to be far more geared towards video creators and the autofocus amongst other things have really helped me step up our level of quality on the channel.
As for the shot, really good lighting and a white background will do that. But I certainly don’t disagree. Thanks for watching and following along!🙌🏻
@SlowRoamers The R8 is a good camera my friend shoots with an R7. I currently shoot with a cannon EOS R and Sony a6500. Both are great cameras. The cannon just has a higher max ISO. I've also seen a lot of TH-cam's using the cannon EOS M all around a good camera and inexpensive. The Sony a7 series are great cameras I do more still photography currently so I can't comment on video quality but your videos have always been great quality. Keep it up might join you guys when my express is ready
@@DJZach22 i would have been happy to be blissfully ignorant, but after making the switch I don’t think I’ll be going back unless I bought another 5D mk4, I loved that camera, but sold it to buy the R8. Welcome to the Express club, catch you out there!🙌🏻
Where do you find information on the snow cave you climbed to by the Salmon Glacier?
A friend of ours passed on the information of its rough location. There’s not really any further info. Its likely collapsed at this point, it was melting pretty quick.

You’ll have to hike straight up from the view point. It’s situated behind the power line to the east. We followed a snow trail most of the way up, it might be a challenge to find without it though…🫤

I just wanted to say thanks for not going with the "default setting" of receeding glacier due to cl_____ ch_____. Cant have that discussion without weather weaponization. Anthropomorphic effect? YUP. We have some impact, but cycles, cycle....and it is refreshing to not have soemone go right into "mode" . Regards. R
I certainly do believe in climate change and see the effects of it, but I also try not to delve in political or polarizing topics in our videos. And CC is certainly both of those. What we hope to accomplish with our videos is to inspire people to go and find their own adventure and to show just how much beauty is out here.
