I was a Buffalo teenager in the 70's. OJ, what a disappointment. Not to make excuses for a double murderer, but if they do an autopsy, there will be frontal lobe issues!
Arguably his best year ever. Sure, 1973 had a historic 2,000 yard season, which is incredible, but this was the full package. OJ could run wild, and be a threat in the passing game. He scored something like 25 tds that year
Jim Brown Walter Payton Barry Sanders OJ Simpson Emmett Smith *Gayle Sayers I don't care as much about stats as most folks. Walter, Gayle & OJ had no OL, QB or a deep threat WR to back off the safeties. At least Barry had Herman Moore. Emmett had it all, but he kept his body in shape, he stayed hungry. Jim Brown was a freaking monster lol he was bigger than the LBs but think of all the other sports he played like lacrosse.
I could watch this all day, he's just such a beautiful runner. I always thought Tony Dorsett had the most graceful running style, but OJ might be even more refined.
Juice gained 2243 yards from scrimmage in this season; 1817 yds rushing along with 426 receiving yds and 23 total touchdowns. Arguably even more impressive than his 2003 yd rushing season.
Hate him or love him, but you have to admit he was one of the best to ever do it at the running back position. Rest in peace 🪦 Orenthal James Simpson. Long live the Juice!
I cannot believe how the NFL has abandoned this type of offense! This style of football is exciting to watch. On many of his long runs, the "Electric Company" had both guards pulling. Beautiful execution and design by the o-coordinator. OJ had excellent vision and easily found the seam.
I agree… but part of it is better front 7 athletes on defense forced the change. The offense is great when it works but it also creates many tackles for losses when not executed properly
The Juice would be the GOAT easily if he had not played in Buffalo. He played in the worst stadium turf and weather in the league and he had one playoff appearance in the divisional round against the steel curtain in 1974. Also the Defense know that oj was going to be running the ball 90+% of the time.
What's most incredible is that the 88 yard touchdown against the Steelers in this video, was against the eventual Super Bowl champions for that 1975 season....their second consecutive Super Bowl title. OJ made the best players/defenses look ordinary. And his speed was absolutely INCREDIBLE! My Top 6 running backs- Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders, O.J. Simpson, Emmitt Smith, Adrian Peterson, Eric Dickerson, Marcus Allen, Tony Dorsett, Gayle Sayers.
I counted 6 rec TDs (in 1975??) which in today's standard is an All Pro RB with the requisite rushing yards. His gift was his full speed hesitation shift while in a forward motion. Somewhat hard to explain but no other RB I've seen has that style. Adrian Peterson had a "mini" version of it but nothing like OJ.
I will always remember OJ as one of the greatest college and pro running backs in history. Also a great track sprinter who set a world record in the 4 X 100 relay. The trial is for the haters and negative people.
New evidence suggests OJ didn’t kill anyone- points to his son Jason and or the serial kill Roger. If true he sacrificed his own life and career to protect Jason. I hate to think OJ ‘s life had to be destroyed and his achievements as a legendary football player trashed when he wasn’t guilty. Critical evidence was kept out of the courtroom as was the nefarious activities Nicole and Ron were involved in. Skin under Nicole’s nails didn’t match OJ’s and was never identified.
I discussed the case with an FBI buddy whom I attended under grad with...he hinted that OJ's son wad on the scene of the murders. Jason's involvement was kept quiet.🤔
We LOVE #67 Mckenzie also watching back then. NY those days come home from playing 3-4-5hrs of football mud, snow, rain or sunny and 90° out......then 4pm GAMETIME OJ OJ OJ

Tired of people talking Dickerson Dickerson had 1,792 yards through his first 14 games of the season, and he broke the record by picking up a season-high 215 yards in the 15th game he didn't break OJ record at all
OJ and no All PROs at QB, TE, WR, but great OLine torched the league for 5yrs. Never will forget he went into 3Rivers Stadium vs Steel Curtain in their prime and hung up 270 and 180, unreal. Goes unnoticed due to 2003 yds in 14 gms stat. Miami no name defense held him to less than 100 both gms that season, so he did 1900 yrds in 12 gms. Sick!!!!
